Given the resources and number of people in this forum, I thought it might be a good idea for the pet owners/animal lovers to pool some knowledge on this frightening pet food situation. Please post any news, information, opinions or suggestions you may have--let's make this a resource for good pet food information.
The information the public is getting on this problem is very confusing. I don't know if we can cut through the clutter, but with something like this, I think community dialogue serves folks better than media hysteria. I know I've found myself confused and concerned the last week trying to figure out if I'm giving my pets healthy food... and more than once I've paused for a moment, wondering if the product I was putting in my pets' bowls would cause them harm. If you feel the same way, please post any links or information you might have outside of the media's typical bullshit:
"ZOMG! CUTE PUPPY DIED AND YOUR KITTY/DOGGY IS NEXT!"
All I can think of for a current contribution is below (will post more as my slow brain allows):
Here is the FDA's current recall list (not that the government is the best resource for what's bad for us and our pets, but it's better than nothing):

That's all I have for now, but will try to post additonal (non-hysterical) links later. If any folks have some good info on the latest updates, please let us know. I'd be really intersted in any info folks have on truly natural diets for cats and dogs, even though that stuff gets expensive and is time consuming for pet owners.
