Posted in this thread, you got my hopes up really high for a moment, before reality hit.
even the bad ones are pretty good
I guess Iron Man 2 was Cars. But Iron Man 3 wasn't Cars 2 so everything is still great.
A word to the not-so-wise about your little girlfriend: do what you need to with her, then broom her fast!"
And I don't just mean a budget. It felt like a Heroes episode, basically, and I really don't want it to be the new Heroes.
I mean, not all television pilots this fall can be as amazing as Sleepy Hollow.
Yeah that's the other thing. AoS might turn out to be one of those shows that flow really well marathon-style but so far it's impossible to tell.
I think it depends on the type of show for myself. Some shows I can do week to week perfectly fine (and even prefer it that way).
While others, like Supernatural, I have to marathon as quickly as possible.
The Sleepy Hollow pilot was actually good?
That seemed like the absolute worst premise for a show
It wasn't good.
It was great...
I feel like SHIELD kept things low key because they needed to sell the network on it, so I hope it ramps up now that they're good to go
oh, it's a terrible premise for a show
it works in spite of itself to an incredible degree
The issue was taxation without representation, not just simple taxation
I dunno, I saw what happened when they made a Spider-Man movie where Spidey tells jokes and it was kinda bad soo
Cause guys
I love Sleepy Hollow

One of the things I love the most about Spider-Ock is that even Otto realizes that Spider-man needs to tell jokes
(and his efforts are spectacularly horrible)
Also, it's a sad statement about our society that he needed to be a brave dude in order to do that in the first place
It's just the environment. Like, go to a con and you'll see all sorts of interpretations of popular fiction characters, played by people of all sorts. Hell, I don't even see that much attacking of "ugly" cosplayers anymore, though I don't hang out in those circles.
But most cosplayers wouldn't walk down the street in their costumes outside of a con... which sucks, because people should be allowed to express themselves and not be judged. Until that day comes, however, things get tough/awkward.
I admit to staring a little when I see someone in a turban, which isn't even that odd given how many people State Farm imports these days. But that's mostly because they aren't really "in context," so it's fascinating. On about the same level as some lady with blue hair (which I love oh my god I wish more people around here had exotic haircolors!)
But yeah. Takes a brave person to be yourself, no matter who you are. As Agents of Shield has introduced cosplayers and fangirls into the Marvel universe, I'd love to see that guy show up on the show.
Fuck! I had completely forgotten about that scene
And the part where DeFoe licks his fingers? Dude was menacing as fuck
Raimi's Spider-Man movies had a ton of great style, even in the talky dramatic scenes

Disney's Hercules
It's all about a god raised by mortals, who seeks to become a hero, and in the end discovers that it isn't what he can do that matters, his strength is not important, it's doing the right thing, and sacrificing for those in need, which really makes someone a hero.
Love that movie. Also Hades is awesome.
Yesssssssssssssssssss
This is exactly what I want
I will certainly never reach that mode but that's pretty great
