So the whole not using the prison aspect in game is even weirder, as my girlfriend is rampaging in there as Trevor right now with invincibility cheat on (and exploding punches) and the whole place is fully detailed, with prison busses and other things things I don't think you can see without actually breaking into the prison.
There's a lot of very detailed locations in the game that aren't used in the main story. Those locations are either intended for GTA:O Deathmatch arenas, or they're probably saving them for the inevitable expansions.
Or Rockstar is just crazypants and loves building detailed worlds just for the hell of it.
I'd imagine you're correct with the DLC. Rockstar will squeeze every drop out of that world with expansions, and I cannot wait.

sonofabitch! My character dissapeared today after I had to quit because the game got hung up when I tried to join a random mission. I'm done for awhile.
This game continues to look exactly like APB should've being.

There were parts of APB I really enjoyed.
There were parts of it I thought were good.
Regretfully the customisation screen couldn't be the whole game. So those parts weren't so long.
Does GTA:O still have Cops N' Crooks from IV?
Haven't seen Cops n Crooks specifically, but there are drug running missions where you have to try and transport drugs to a certain location, and the other team is trying to stop you. Kind of has a similar vibe. I do wish/hope Cops n Crooks is in the game though, by far my favorite mode from GTA IV.
And APB's biggest failing was trying to be an MMO. They were never going to pull off that many players with the type of precision necessary to make the gameplay work. Plus all that load meant the world was basically an empty shell, which does not make for a very interesting open place to inhabit.

I think that the SCUBA gear you autoequip when you drive the sub will interfere with the counter for the robes

was finally able to get in and play for a bit, but left for a while to eat lunch and now everything is timing out. hopefully my character is still there. Not necessarily solo but they will give you a mission. It may take a minute or two for them to text or call you back though.

Well after 2 days of trying to finally make it past the tutorial stuff I FINALLY did it only to be stuck at the next area it told me to go to (the Cypress Flats LTS thing). *sigh*
Well I'm still barely able to connect to the cloud and stuck at the race when I do finally get connected.
I am truly happy for the people that are able to play and run through the ranks, but every day this problem persists, I get set further and further back in terms of progression.
I know it doesn't matter because they already have my money, but seeing that people are already buying houses, garages, guns, and mods... It is slowly eroding my desire to play Online at all. In a weeks time when I can finally join, I envision being hit by an airstrike as I'm finally completing the first race.

I got in! I won the race! I went and shot some dudes and took their drugs! Then all of a sudden everything froze up and I got booted back to the start of the mission and now I think it's hard-locked.
on 360 things seems stable. last night my buddy was getting hung up but this morning he got in no issues. the cache clearing trick should work if you are still getting stuck.
The Cache Clearing/Title Update Delete "trick" that R* has recommended does nothing for me.
How embarrassed should a company that can manage to ring out a game this amazing on such dated hardware be when the only solid lead they have after two days of investigation is "maybe try this thing some guy on the internet said?"

2. Can your Sanchez get any performance mods?
I found a reliable Sanchez spawn, but it's not really worth sharing if you're getting a gimped version.
