blank's post makes it seem like there are all the originals in it maybe and like they get new evolutions!??!
because that
is pretty ballin
It has been confirmed that
You will guaranteed get one of the original 3 starters in X/Y, and every one of the first 3 starters has a Mega Evolution which is trigged by them holding an item
The ghost Pokemon in X and Y are more horrifying than ever.
One is a tree stump possessed by the spirit of a dead child.
You know what I don't like about this thing? It's just a fucking dead kid. That's it. They drew a real life dead kid and made it cartoony.
Seriously, it looks like someone took my mom's dead kid and put it in the game.
Older pokemon actually had personalities to them. They had quirks that separated them from actual animals. This thing? It's. Just. A. DEAD KID.

You are given your choice of one of the original starters a third or so through the game.
They all have Mega Evolutions, as do a bunch of other old Pokemon like Gyarados and Gengar, which is a new mechanic. Each Pokemon that can Megaevolve have a specific item that allows them to do so if they hold it. You'll have a "Mega Evolve" button that you can hit during combat and they will evolve and get boosted stats and whatever other changes they get. Then they go back to normal after the battle.

every pokemon is in it
there is a new concept called "mega evolutions" which are based around a stone you give a Pokemon to hold (as opposed to any other item you might have given it to hold)
if they're holding that item, they evolve in battle, to Mega _________, so it's not a true evolution but it shakes things up
every starter from R/B has a mega evolution, along with a bunch of Pokemon that vary between popular and "wait why did he get a mega evolution"
Froakie (ケロマツ Keromatsu?), the Bubble Frog Pokémon, is the Water-typed starter Pokémon. The ruff around its neck is actually made of bubbles which it uses to protect itself from attacks.[3][5]

Think I am going to go with the grass starter, and then get squirtle, and then get torchick for playing during the first week. Got fire, water and grass covered right there.
i don't know if this is the case anymore, but charmander was always the worst starter in my mind because his final evolution includes flying and that has like a million weaknesses and really compounded poorly with fire's weaknesses.

Is there any way to get a Charmander or a Mewtwo in X or Y?
Or are they relying on, like, people importing from previous games importing from previous games importing from previous games?
