I'm already done shopping. My Santa is getting a "Best of Maine" care package containing a 6 pack of Moxie, a bottle of Allen's Coffee Brandy, some scratch off lottery tickets, some Sour Cream and Clam potato chips, and a flannel shirt. You're welcome.
Fun fact, It was this very gift exchange that introduced me to Moxie. Damn that is some tasty stuff.
life's a game that you're bound to lose / like using a hammer to pound in screws
fuck up once and you break your thumb / if you're happy at all then you're god damn dumb
that's right we're on a fucked up cruise / God is dead but at least we have booze
bad things happen, no one knows why / the sun burns out and everyone dies
I don't use this username anywhere else. My Facebook SHOULD be Fort Knox but probably isn't, Reddit is pretty open but 1) I have a radically different name there and 2) I pretty much only post about dogs and cooking.

I'm pretty easy to stalk. According to [redacted] I'm the only [redacted] in the U.S. There are 3 in the UK and one in South Africa. None of them are me no matter how much I want to see the UK.

You gave me liquor, the greatest gift so it all worked out. Hell, this whole conversation led me to check my online presence which led to me finding a new leak and I nipped that shit right in the bud so ... good came of G&T stalking.

I like to imagine isy and grinch are the two people in the background and their stalking was just so damn good that they found some random stranger's photo online.
Not a bad idea. Santa, games I'm gonna buy before the end of the year:
Professor Layton and the Azran Legacies, Batman: Arkham Origins, A Link Between Worlds 3DS XL, Super Mario 3D World, Bravely Default, South Park
I'm also gonna send you my Amazon wishlist through Proxy..with that plus the original info post you should be pretty much set. Stalking my forum name isn't gonna do you any good since it's so common..not sure my real name is gonna get you much farther.

That.
Sounds awesome.
Side note: Santa, I don't drink coffee. :-X
Different types of hot chocolate? Now we are talking.
well then Good News! I'm pretty sure coffee brandy is in fact, Brandy!
Yeah Allens Coffee Brandy is pretty much the go to drink for trailer park house wives up here. It's basically Kahula for broke people.
According to Wikipedia, Allen's has been called both "the champagne of Maine" and "an epidemic."
If that isn't a rousing recommendation I don't know what is.

And thus was born my YouTube series of Mainely Gaming where I combine my Maine accent with a bottle of Allen's.
Santa, if you wish to gift me booze, I like beer a lot. I like mostly all kinds and I love trying new ones. Wine is also good! I like White (Pinot Grigio and Rieslings are my favorite), though Red is nice sometimes, it depends on the red.
I've also just started a Gamma World campaign with a few friends and an expansion would be rad!
In terms of clothes I'm a small.
I really also quite enjoy little collectable toys, art and things. Desk knick knacks and other decorations with stuff I like would be super cool.
Psh, that defeats the point. No one can understand Pikey.
Incorrect, Sir. East coast Canadians can understand it. It is dangerously close to how Newfies talk (people from Newfoundland, for non-hosers). I think everywhere west of Atlantic Canada may still have a problem understading it though. From Quebec to British Columbia, anyone EAST of Quebec is a Newfie.
I'm not bragging, I'm aware of how ridiculous the east coast of Canada talks. Seriously...we are messed up. Should hear some of our slang or how we pronounce certain things.
I've pretty much stated everything in my sign up note, but given that we seem to be mentioning what we're buying,
Consoles: 360, PS3, PC, Vita, iPad Mini Retina, Kindle, PS4, Wii U
Shirts: XL
Good: Board games (I have a lot so ask me if you want a list), Books, Gadgets
Bad: Alcohol, well food of any kind (beyond the two items I hinted at)
I intend to get: PS4 - Killzone and AC IV. I may get Rivals but I'm not sure; Vita - Tearaway; PC - Battlefield 4. This is ofc in addition to what I already own.
Also, tonight I intend to watch The Nightmare Before Christmas. With that watched, the festive period can finally begin!
Anarchy on
"Oh, well, this would be one of those circumstances that people unfamiliar with the law of large numbers would call a coincidence."
I plan on getting A Link between Worlds on Black Friday when it comes out. Don't think I'm getting anything else.
Oh and I'm not a doctor, but I do love beer so that's how you should read the search results on my name. I use this forum name everywhere but that's really only here and BeerAdvocate.
Real names are tricky on me so I should probably address that. My name seems like it is relatively unique. However, there is another person with my exact name who lives about 20 miles away in Auburn Maine. I assure you Santa that I am not, nor was I ever, a high school track star. I was more a math team and marching band kind of guy (surprise, surprise).

To whomever receives me as a Santee...firstly I'm sorry, I'm a pretty lousy person to gift shop for in that if I typically want something, I go and buy it myself. I didn't even have a Steam wishlist before I signed up for this. But now I do, so that's something!
Any kind of alcohol is always nice, as are most candies that involve chocolate.

SANTA!
I like to cook random new shit, so food/pre-made food works for me just fine.
Akkahols are ok, though I'm not the hugest beer fan. If you have a favorite brand or whatever, feel free to send it !
I've got an Amazon wishlist in my sig.
I've got a 360 and am buying a PS4 very soon. As such, I would say maybe steer clear of the 360 if you are feeling video game inclined? It will be seeing less use in the near future.
I've got a steam account
My friends and I like to play board games a lot.
Also! My workplace has crap coffee machines. A tiny desk-based coffee or tea solution would be WONDERFUL for my continued sanity.

Have PMs gone out yet?
I read candies as candles and was thoroughly confused. 8:30AM is too late to be considered too early I think.

I love listening to east coasters talk.
Even a few of my east coast friends who have mostly killed off their accents still can't say "car" without stressing that "a" and I swoon a bit.
I just got the final thing I'm buying myself for the year; monoprice earphones. And they weren't even those foam ones. The rest of the purchases are basically household appliances for thethe new kitchen and bathroom. And the big thing of course. My santee!
Some clues:
I like beer, but I'm not a huge IPA fan, at least not the stronger hoppy ones. You can probably find my untappd account.
Also, if you need help finding more about me, remove the @mail address from my e-mail and search that name.
I have Link Between Worlds for 3DS preordered already.
Wait, is it standard protocol to make a post of intended self gifts? Cause I'll just say I have no intention of purchasing either of the next gen consoles. Maybe a 3DS/XL on Black Friday, but that's if I can get a good deal. I really just want it for the new Phoenix Wright.
I'm okay with any sort of booze in that I don't really have any issues or restrictions with it. I'm no connoisseur, though. Anything booze related would really just be a learning experience/crash course for me. I feel weird singling alcohol out in this post but it seems like it's a popular gift idea that has to be specifically mentioned as not being an issue each year. I don't really have any dietary restrictions in terms of allergies or anything like that.
Booze doesn't come up very often. I think it's as much the logistics of sending liquids (price/packaging) as much as anything. Plus there are some folks that don't partake of alcohol due to religious or personal reasons. I would more gift alcohol on a "I stalked my Santa and noticed he/she discusses loving wine quite often" type of thing.
I think it's probably good to mention major releases you plan on buying - like I'm pretty sure we'll be getting Super Mario World 3D Wii U for the family this year. Honestly though - I probably wouldn't plan on buying someone else a super popular huge release unless they specifically posted something saying they were bummed they couldn't afford GTA for example.
East Coast accents are fun - I never thought I had much of one until I went to college and was told that I did. I still don't have a very heavy one compared to the island I'm from, but compared to "mainland" folks it is noticeable.
It's just helpful to know if people are buying games.
Oh and I love good beer if my blog didn't give me away. If you are looking to get me something, you could always search on there. I don't mind repeats if I liked the beer.
Unfortunately for Santa, I don't have much control over what games I get. It depends on what gets assigned to me for review. That's why I give my hubby's e-mail to my Santa for "does she have this?" purposes and also suggest just doing something neat and creative or having to do with my other geeky or non-geeky interests. I love reading Gift Get posts in which Santa got creative with a handmade or themed gift and am always thrilled with whatever Santa dreams up.
I'm not much of an alcohol drinker and don't suggest sending alcohol over the border into Canada anyway. Speaking of which, once assignments go out, I'll post my annual list of Canadian mail-order possibilities in order to assist Santas who drew Canucks and then saw the ridiculous postage rates they charge for goods that cross the world's largest undefended border. :-p

You're technically NOT supposed to ship alcohol across state lines unless you are a licensed distributor. There ARE laws on this sort of thing. Just know if you're shipping alcohol you run the risk of your package being confiscated.
I've heard USPS is super picky about it. UPS and FedEx are less so.

Agreed. For the latter two, makes sure nothing will break and you should be fine. It's technically illegal for USPS so I'd suggest not using them if you are going to ship alcohol.

Remember that one time when I said I wasn't going to do the general stuff post and my Santa would have to dig to find it from previous years?
Well I dug it up myself and Vanilla isn't kind for finding old posts (especially when you have to go back 2 years). So for my Santa's sanity I will do it.
You could always do what I did that one year: mail your Santee a "make your own booze" kit. No fuss no muss.
Reminds me of the Ken Burns Prohibition doc. They talk about how stores would sell blocks of grape concentrate with a 'warning': Absolutely do not put this into water and sugar and set in a dark place for a few weeks, that would make wine and that's illegal.

Santa, I'm pretty easy to stalk online using a combination of my real name or my twitter handle.
Like many, I'm a huge craft beer drinker. Love me the dark beers but I love trying anything new or different.
Gaming wise I got a 360 and Vita and I'm not planning on making any major gaming purchases soon.
Hobbies are comics, anything dealing with the outdoors (specially climbing and running) and some anime.
This about sums it up, and it is good for a laugh, because we talk funny. Also, most of this is true, which is kinda sad. The only one I do not agree with is the part about "beers". http://www.vice.com/en_ca/read/the-vice-guide-to-speaking-like-a-maritimer-

- Good: Seattle Sounders FC, board games, chocolate/sweets, baby girl 1 in Feb., Magic: the Gathering
- Bad: Alcohol, coffee/tea (but my wife loves decaf)
And then every time I make a post like this, there's always something I forget.Reminds me of the Ken Burns Prohibition doc.
