Its amazing how bad some people are at slacking off. My former partner, who was good with all his SLAs and did his work promptly, turns out was thought of as a horrible lazy ass by management. Why? Cause in the down time he would pull out his iPad, prop that shit up in his cube and watch Archer. Or play games on his phone. I tried to tell him that was too blatant, but no one listens to Zathras.
IT work gets a bad rep because of it. Most of the time? I could sit here and pick my nose for 6 hours.
They need to think of you like an ER surgeon rather than a PCP.
A PCP will see patients all day, 8 hours a day. An ER doctor doesn't really see clinical patients but they're there for when shit hits the fan oh my god this guy has a pipe sticking out of his head.

however he says "There's dozens of changes and they've been waiting WEEKS!" isn't really accurate, there's 3 that are a few weeks old to REMOVE servers and there are DOZENS to add servers from the past 2 days that I obviously just haven't done yet, Friday is my longest work day its my "Wrap up everything" day

I want to apologize for the confusion the ticket system and how it led to some additional confusion and inconsistencies with the spreadsheet. I wasn't aware how to document the ticket that was canceled, which might have added to more confusion on how long this work had gone unfinished.
