Gunslinger is only 5 bucks over at Groupers plus you get extra games.

The Call of Juarez at Groupees is the first one, simply called Call of Juarez. Gunslinger is the 4th one that was released earlier this year. Apparently, the even number CoJ games are the only good ones, considering Bound in Blood is solid and The Cartel is hot dogshit.

Sup guys, quick question about the humblebundle.

How are people seemingly breaking it into individual keys?

At least that's the impression I'm getting looking at the Steamgifts website.

If you buy it you can click the gift icon next to each entry and then give that link to a friend. Not sure if that attached directly to an account of if you an see a key and enter in manually though.

Awesome, thanks. It's probably the key since that's what's on the descriptions.

From the bundle FAQ it seemed like it would be the entire bundle.

Hey, I have two games in my steam inventory that I don't want because a jerk didn't accept his gifts.

So, If you want a free steam copy of Home (not Gone Home, different game) or The Witcher just send me a PM with the name of the game you want as a title, first PM gets the game they want.

You can ask for both if you really want both.

Are you familiar with how Blood Dragon ends? If so, it's kinda like that.

If not, it's a weapon, of sorts, that you get late in one particular level. Spoilered for those who'd rather learn firsthand.
It's a giant robot dinosaur that shoots lasers. Allegedly a child's toy, you control it remotely in the back half of a level set in an amusement park that basically simulates Godzilla movies.

It's a thing of beauty, the whole setpiece.

    Another SteamOS game/dev announcement:
Total War: ROME II Is Coming to SteamOS

Those of us working on Steam hardware and SteamOS are pleased to announce another game coming soon to the platform. Here's the message straight from Rob Bartholomew at Creative Assembly:

At Creative Assembly we want our customers to be able to play on as many platforms and in as many locations as possible, so today we are announcing future support for both SteamOS and the Steam Controller.

We’ve always wanted the Total War franchise to be enjoyed by living room gamers, but the limitations of traditional hardware made our style of game play impossible. Last month, when Valve invited us to test out the new Steam Controller and unveiled their plans for SteamOS - we were impressed. We believe it will provide us with the control fidelity and platform we need to make a living room experience for ROME II that could be a more compelling experience than playing with keyboard and mouse.

ROME II will be launching on Linux early next year, with full Steam Controller and Big Picture support to be added as soon as Valve gets us a controller dev kit. Pick up a copy of the game this weekend while it’s 25% off and you’ll be able to play the Linux version as soon as it launches!

Penny under the lowest price unless there was a mitigating circumstance such as a obvious short term run to the bottom or only a few listed at the lowest price.

Apparently a lot of the....questionable UI design choices make sense if you think in terms of design which would allow for controller support. So there you have it.

Steam gauge is bullshit because it values games at the price they are right now and time tracking only came to be 4 or so years ago. Mine says 3.5k hours valued at $3k over 8 years, add 1-2k to each of those and it might be accurate. There's also all the time I've spent on ps3, 360, and origin games. I've spent a shitload of time playing games all my life, but unlike a lot of people I don't have much self loathing over it.

Any chance someone bought a copy of TWD on sale at some point in a bundle for later gifting they'd be willing to sell me for paypal money? Or anything else on hand they'd like to unload reasonably that a 14 year old girl might like, like maybe one of the Portal games that would run on a decent laptop? If so drop me a note here or on steam, I'd really appreciate it.

Whoa, serious weirdness on my Steam profile. I definitely owned in the neighborhood of 700-800 games as shown on my profile. Now it says 1,256. I got the badge for 1k+ games and all the profile XP to go with it. My "All Games" page only shows 832 entries...and there's definitely not any extra games in there that weren't there previously.

Did Steam mess up? What's the deal?

I don't have it but you can find Walking Dead cheap on most trading sites. It's on TF2outpost for 2-3 keys which if you bought they from the market would be 5-7.50 USD. I can lend you a hand if you have more questions. Trade sites almost always the best source of games when they just stopped being on a sale.

I just checked my own profile through the website and I don't know what the total game count is, but I have hundreds and hundreds of items labeled SteamApp8881 or similar in my library. A Google search went to some kind of Steam database, which shows that this particular one was previously identified as "freedom_force_content", although I have a separate, normal entries for the Freedom Force games, and that all these SteamApp items were published in the database yesterday.

Sid Meier's Ace Patrol: Pacific Skies launched this week. If you enjoyed the first one, I heartily recommend it. The formula is pretty much the same except set in the Pacific Theatre of World War II now, although you will notice some differences:
    • Aircraft maneuver icons show more clearly which is the most damaging option.
    • There's the super-hardcore option now, of having permadeath for your pilots, instead of just hospitalization.
    • The "Pick one mission from this randomized set of three" system is gone, replaced with a longer 32 mission campaign for each of the four faction options where every mission is pre-determined.
    • Aircraft now retain damage between missions. This leads to the choice of "Send my ace up in his best fighter, even though it's still damaged from his last mission, or either rest him, or put him in an inferior aircraft?"
    • In that same vein, aircraft upgrades now apply to individual aircraft, not singularly to the pilot. Fully upgrading a P-40 means nothing when your pilot moves to a P-39.
    • MOST IMPORTANT CHANGE! At least, for @Luchaire. You can no longer paint a strip on the wings of your aircraft.

Mostly this is because you can now paint the nose, wings, tail, and part of the fuselage, and can choose from a small variety of designs and colors.

If anyone is having any problems with games crashing on them at launch, opt out of the steam beta. Just fixed me being unable to get into Tomb Raider and Batman: AO. Little googling shows that it's not just me as well.

Edit: Would have been nice to figure out before reinstalling all my redistribution, deleting my video card drivers and reinstalling. Heh. Oh well.
