What's a decent price for a 3DS SD card?

Hey guys! Just got a pretty straightforwards question here, the 4gb SD card that came with my 3DS is starting to feel a bit on the cramped side so I figure it's time to drop a bit of cash on an upgrade, but I've never gone shopping for SD cards before. What's a decent brand/price, and what kind of SD card am I looking for specifically? Will any work, or do I need a specific brand/straight from Nintendo or something?

If they're not too expensive, I'm thinking 32gb would probably be plenty, unless that's considered small these days.

SD cards are pretty much standard these days. A brand name (Kingston, SanDisk, Lexar) 32GB card will be about $20-30.

Yeah, definitely don't try to buy from Nintendo or Gamestop or something. You probably shouldn't buy from most brick-and-mortar stores at all if you want the best price for the size you get, actually, but buying from a gaming store of some sort would be the worst possible deal! There's no reason to do that, either, since any recent SD card should work just as well. Pick something up online. I'm pretty sure whatever card the 3DS came with was only a Class 4/6 card, and people have said even Class 2 cards will be able to play anything you want (with slower load times). You'll be getting an SDHC card, or you could even get a huge SDXC card if you like, IF you use Windows to format the card to FAT32. SDXC cards come formatted as exFAT by default, and the 3DS can't read that (as far as I know). But a 32GB SDHC should last you quite a while without making you run out of space, I suspect, and it'll work right out of the box!
