Ep 2 wasn't as good as episode 1, which is a shame considering how damn long it took them.

Luckily, "not as good as episode 1" doesn't mean "not good", so they still got me.
I don't think Crane is the guy. If someone can glamour themselves to look like Snow White, they can glamour themselves to look like Crane. And surely Beauty would notice if Crane showed up. She noticed "Snow", after all, even if she then dismissed it.

Also, daaaaamn but you're a thickheaded Mr. Wolf sometimes, Bigby. Yes, yes, everyone does keep saying that their lips are sealed, some do it while looking at you like you just fell off the dumb ladder and smacked into every rung on the way down. Think that might mean something?

Gimme the next one now. Like, right now.

    Suspect talk
In the G&T thread suspicions have come on about the Headless Horseman trying to frame Crane. While a nice touch I'd be disappointed if that was all that was going on.

But this doesn't explain Faith's death and why her head was placed on the doorstep earlier than Lily's, the latter being killed presumably several days/weeks earlier(?). Nor what she had in the sealed box in her cubby at the Pudding Pie. Or who Dee and Dum are working for or what they are looking for.

I liked episode 2 less than 1 because it looked like a closed case. But the more these I look at these unexplained evidence the more I think Crane is a red herring for what's really going on.

there's a 0% chance you actually reveal the murderer in episode 2 of 5

    I suspect:
Crane did all that creepy stuff but didn't actually kill Lily.

    Based on part of what
beauty said, the tweedles are working for whoever the crooked man is

I had completely forgotten about the headless horseman being crane's thing, and that would also explain the heads coming off

clearly the headless horseman is cran

Played through it again just to readjust what i did the first episode. Pure speculation ahead.
I am pretty sure at this point that Crane isnt the killer, but hes just a creep. Then we will be lead to think that Bluebeard is the killer with the motivation of gaining Cranes job, but he wont be the killer but probably knows who it is and is mearly using the killer. but he has no reason to reveal why. And he is probably the one employing Dum and Dee.

Did i miss something with the autopsy of the troll, i didn't get to examine her feet because i got too interested in the totem. Also when you talk to her sister and agree to let her have the body does she just get the body, or was there some other hint of it going down the well?

    You didn't miss anything.
You just get a confirmation that cinderblocks were tied to her feet.

By the end, I almost thought
that someone was setting up Bigby. Who could have this weird obsession with Snow White and also be a violent killer? But then he was in one of the pictures, so that was out.

Concerning that character in a different regard:
Do you get to find out who Toad was looking at in the Mirror at all? I chose to inspect the victim too quickly before realizing the camera angle was not so subtley going "Hey you could totally talk to the Mirror, buddy."

I think mirror mentioned he was watching Rapunzel, Rose and Bigby. Which is probably why he unloads on you if you torture the prisoner.

    This was a good episode.

It suggests interesting things to me as a reader of the comics.

    But seriously
What kind of person would hit Beast again???

GundiGundi Serious Bismuth Registered User regular
    @Wyborn
I actually didn't fight back at all the first time because I didn't want to seriously injure Beast. I was surprised when he literally kills you if you don't fight back. Still didn't beat him up extra though

  • Options
WybornWyborn GET EQUIPPED Registered User regular
    You know
I thought hard about not fighting, and was looking for an opportunity to not knock the shit out of him

But I have an innate sense for when a game is going to kill me, I guess

cause I didn't put his head through the floor that's for sure, but I think I hit him whenever the clicky circle was over his head, and then after the fight

Well it's pretty clear when you get the choice
It's two choices: "Hit Him" or "He's Had Enough"

I don't know what happens if you hit him

I just used "put his head through the floor" as a bit of colorful language

    I was gearing up to
do the choice violence in this episode but then Snow showed up alive and took the wind out of those sails

Leaving Gren his arm was very much a part of the Old Bigby vs New Bigby mental narrative/characterization/whatever I have going on

Old Bigby would have popped it off and maybe beat him with it a little bit

    I didn't because
    I made him squirm

he basically begs and pleads with you at every object, lying to you about the book not existing, trying to make up excuses, before he finally goes "okay fuck fine you win sheriff fuck you"

you make him confess and grovel without touching a single thing

    it's very satisfying

    nobody should feel bad for
smashing anything in georgie's place because he is basically the worst person

I mean, I didn't and bigby just kinda picks up the keg all smug and stuff and then 3 or 5 objects later georgie just wimpers and gives up the key to it
