    nonsense; thatguy, shiashi, and I just destroyed a couple games on a server earlier tonight. Information for future reference: shiashi evidently gets very confused when flying choppers through smoke clouds, don't blow stuff up right in front of him unless you want hilarious results. :)

    BF3 can still be fun with friends but 4's gunplay is so tight and Shanghai is beautifully designed. Shanghai is not enormous but the verticality gives the map a structure that isn't inclined to getting swamped by enemies who can engage you at many different ranges. The main road can be an exception but not always. I played Caspian earlier with a friend and it turned into such a clusterfuck where you feel simultaneously exposed and blind and then you get jumped. You can minimize that with experience but Shanghai feels fair from the beginning, with distinct areas and focal points that make it easier to understand the topography of the map and how to traverse it smartly.

    I have a couple of questions. I always thought this game on PC was very large scale battle, 32 vs 32, and evn 64 v 64. Is this the case? basically I'm wondering what the differences are between the consoles and the PC. Are the maps larger, etc... I really like this game, and if I got it it'd be on a console, but I am curious about the differences. I'm also sort of on the fence as I might have a PS4 on release, and I assume this is coming to next gen consoles as well, although there won't be as large as a player base. The fog and popup in the beta on the 360 was annoying though.

    The game will definitely be more limited than the PC in regards to player count and graphics on current gen consoles, and I don't know if this is a beta thing but I saw console folk complaining about not having the same vehicles as we had on the PC. Next gen consoles will be much closer but they still had to compromise on the rendering resolution to max out the framerate.

    The PS3 beta felt like a PS2 game, it looked and ran worse than BF3 did on the same console. You can really tell they hacked the game together in order to get it to run at all.

    I know, god damn, never had an issue with Origin until now. I bought Bioshock Infinite and pitched in for a Kickstarter, but this one won't go through. My bank says my card is completely unblocked, and it seems it's an issue coming from Origin.

    Yeah probably. It is actually quite nice to see this.

    I made a post on Reddit on how doing that shit will fuck people over here in Mexico, and their responses were all about "It is EA's fault" and "Regional pricing is stupid and corporations are the ones fucking you over" and so on.

    And here's the proof, that they have indeed fucked me over.

    With DICE it's always 2 steps forward and 1 step back. I fully expect there to be some frustrating bugs, but if the launch of BF4 is proportionally smoother than the launch of BF3, we are going to be in for a good time.

    I am already a crazy good chopper pilot in BF3 when I am not clipping into things doing evasive maneuvers. With the improved handling, I can only see my skills getting better. Last night I was really "on" for choppering in BF3. Nosehair saw me daring under bridges and though the dockhouse. On firestorm I was just flying sideways and backwards most of the time. People really don't expect you to come at them from those angles or just assume you are an idiot who is about to crash.

    Apparently the weapon specific battlepacks are from accumulating points from that particular weapon type.
    Like if you use shotguns all the time you can get a shotgun specific battlepack.

    It always is but it has gotten better over time. The fact that we're gonna have a working server browser at launch still blows my fucking mind.

    Also, they've announced that they will not have to put out huge patches just for minor balance tweaks. I think that in itself is a huge and positive change to help any problems that come along (dart fix anyone?).

    Fucking about goddamn time.

    THREE MONTHS it took them between patches. Three fucking months! Each one came about a week before the DLC packs, and it was horseshit. The only time that they broke their convention was for the DART fix - and that still took over a fucking month!
