So, I think I'm going to have to get a Bati for those races where there's a bunch of straight lanes. Losing races simply get outpaced on straightaways is kinda ARG!

Also, felt really good beating these guys that just spent a 7 minute bike race collaborating to take me out. It was a group of friends or something that I dropped into a lobby with before (sounded like the guys that spun me out then cried foul when I spun one of them out). Almost broke radio silence to call them out on cheating when they decided to try and drift off each other to catch up to me. :U

But it really felt good breaking my losing streak against them (wish it counted top 3 in larger races as a win)! I'm... wait for it...6 and 32 now. :P

also one of them said my girl looked like a tool. WHY IS EVERYBODY SO MEAN TODAY?!

I don't know, midterms? I think I might take a short break until either the extra $500k comes out, or any of the other promised expansion bits. There's only so much shooting the same person in the face five or six times in a row I can do before I get bored.

Something is up. I can't hear, or talk to, anyone while in Freeroam. I think it's led to some peoples frustration with me I'll bet.

As soon as I hop in a mission I can hear/talk again. Strange.

I'm DIRebus on the Social Club, and I'm almost level 45 in game, so I must have sharing turned off. I'll try and go back and change it. I don't play a ton every day, but I play a few hours per week and try and hook up with the crew when I can get in to games with you guys.

Yesterday, I had my second duel with a pub, but this time I got revenge! He just wasted me as I drove to LS Customs, so I then took out my shiny new carbine I got from a gang fight and wasted him until he ran away. I finished my stuff and was about to go after him with a waypoint, but as soon as I set it he quit.

In other news, what are some good cars to customize visually and performance-wise? I've got a Gauntlet with a subtle, but I think rad pantjob, but the cosmetic customizations are pretty limited despite being one of the best muscle cars. I just don't know if I want to lay out the money for a sport or lower end super car without seeing what I can do to it first.

sorry guys I was in that top fun match with, my 360 locked up. decided to take a break anyways. good races.

That's too bad. You missed a pretty memorable round of Top Fun 3.

It was 3 vs. 3, and I was a Runner. We were replaying and switching teams so that everyone would get to be a runner, and this was the second round. Since the Hunters won pretty handily by shooting down all of the Mallards, I reasoned that staying on the ground would be safer. Then I realized, "wait a second, if I don't even so much as get into a car, they can't lock on to me at all!"

So I decided to try to truck it all the way from Sandy Shores airport to Los Santos International. One hunter clipped a small object and crashed, the other two managed to shoot my two teammates, which left just me and two hunters. I was still on foot, running for my tiny little life.

One hunter got too low and crashed. The one remaining hunter, not wanting to risk crashing, carefully landed his jet and tried to hunt me on foot.

Then I just shot him and won, and returned to the game lobby to hear everyone laughing their asses off.

XBL, PSN, and NNID: "ConnConnor" for all three.

Everything above 200k has the same interior. A split level, open space with a modern interior and black and orange colors. The 10 car garage is a large white room.

Besides having more space for cars, it supposedly has a room required for future heists.

The only difference between high end apartments is the location and the view.

Sorry about last night @jdarksun and @Lt. Fragg. Mic has been on the fritz lately but hopefully I'll have it fully charged and working tonight if you guys are on. Thank you for letting me tag along with you. I like to think I made it worthwhile with my first successful parachute drop, albeit with an entertaining faceplant at the end.

Last night I was hiding behind the trailer in boneyard and there's one low level guy who insists on trying to pass through me at every available oppurtunity, even when we're getting shot at. Of course sometimes this would somehow glitch and push me out of cover all through the course of this so wave 9 I getting fed up and go figure, he does it again. Just as the largest group of guys comes gunning for us. 2 seconds later I'm dead, then he dies, then the last man standing is picked off as he was surrounded. Made 14k but holy crap that was a piss off, especially when I'd managed to be the last man standing for two of the previous 8 waves, one being where I had to take out two helicopters.

That parachute drop was hilarious, as the ending for me came quite unexpectedly. You approached each waypoint with great ease and control, so when you came screaming into the end with apparently no ideas on how to slow yourself down, it was hilarious to watch in spec mode :)

I'm on most nights but the closest timezone to me is EST since I'm in Atlantic Canada so I'm an hour ahead of EST. I'm normally on around 9 or 10 my time which is around 8 or 9 EST. VeeveeV has 1.2m or so as well.

I lucked out early on, had a genuine sick day and a week where my wife was at Toastmasters each night till 10 or so, which meant I could go full bachelor. I've slowed down quite a bit, I just run random missions and keep my eyes open for crew invites; did a 10 wave survival last night.

Right now, I just dump cash into unlocking all clothes regardless of whether I want them or not. I should have about 9999 of each ammo type, I did shuffle my garage last night and sold my Vapid Dominator (bouncy POS) and bought an Akuma. I might sell my Jackal and uh, Zion? There's a debauchee 4 door that's slightly better, runs about $130k.

Bikes seem to be the best thing going atm.

Isn't Toronto basically a US enclave anyway? :P

So bounties suck. Low bounties don't really encourage you to hunt down the targetted player, so that's bad. Also, bounties never go away, so the best thing to do is to throw yourself at the nearest player and get it over with. Make it so you get cash/XP for evading a bounty, achieved by remaining alive for x ammount of time, depending on the size of the bounty.

That hunter was me. I shouldn't have landed so close :P

Honestly I was mostly surprised I landed the the jet so cleanly and I wasn't even thinking that you would be waiting for me to exit the plane.

Well played though. It took a couple passes for me to clue in your were legging it and not in a car.

If you survive a bounty you get paid whatever the bounty is worth.

If bounties were worth more they would be abused, this game has enough of a problem with grinding abuse already.

As for the low bounty price, that's entirely up to you whether or not you want to hunt them too, idk.

the bounties run out after about 48(?) minutes in free play, and if you survive you claim the bounty placed on you. some people just camp in their apartment/garage to wait it out.

as for encouraging people to hunt bounties it seems to depend on the people you're in with. i survived with a $7k bounty because no one came after me, and you saw me being ignored with a $9k bounty on me last night. on the other hand i've been in with people who'll race after and fight over even a $1k bounty, probably spending more than they'd earn from it, due to ammo spent and death taxes.

its not a bad system, its just up to the players you're on with, which can be part of the fun.

also i had a random chase me down last night for no other reason than because. no bounty, we didn't cross paths or crash into each other, i was just cruising along and noticed he was driving the same road in the same direction and then took the same turn i just had. and then the next turn and the next... he eventually caught me and killed me. and then i snipped him from my spawn point. was quite fun actually. :)

That was an awesome landing. I was so happy since I was the scrub that crashed. Almost woke the baby up cursing when Conn shot you.

What was extra frustrating was the the Top Fun right before that Local H Jay shot all three of us down single-handedly, then decided to bask in the glory after his console locked.

Did y'all know that you can have someone climb into the back of the Duneloader (the Dodge Powerwagon looking pickup) and they can use the cab for cover. This way you can have a driver, a passenger, and a guy in the bed using the cab as cover. The guy back there can use cover as he normally would and will stick and not get thrown out. The driver and passenger will see his body glitch everywhere when hitting bumps and stuff, but he won't get thrown. And the guy in the bed can use any weapon in his inventory.

Does this work with other pickups?

Also apparently there's a Suburban/Excursion-like SUV that allows your buddies to hand off the running boards like the Secret Service (though they are easy to knock off). The guys hanging on the outside can use assault rifles and aren't just limited to the Micro SMG.

Also the vans are neat because two can get in the back and shoot out the back. Including the massively armored SWAT van. Which is great until you're riding on one tire...

I was racing with a bunch of PA folk yesterday with super cars. It was a crazy long, 11 mile race. I had been fighting for first with another PAer for half the race, and finally get into first. But then he slams into the back of me, which sends my car flying into the railing. I notice right away that my alignment is off, but don't think much of it until we hit heavy traffic. That's when I start hitting cars over and over again. I finished in 5th place in a race I was sure I was going to get 1st in. So to whoever slammed into the back of me... well played... asshole. :)

Last night I chased down a bounty that had 2 friends backing him up in a helicopter.

I failed to snipe them before they got away to the top of mount chumash, so I had to bike to a buzzard. then fly back north and as the rockets hit their helicopter. $1000! YAY.

Then another of them had a $7000 bounty placed on them and I failed at buzzarding so I had to pursue on foot and then they were running around a roof and the bounty fell so I popped him and left.

It was then that I ran into a lobby with *a real girl* playing who was whining the whole time somebody was killing her in a melee over a bounty up by the military base. THEN... then! A genuine White Knight came along to help her, complete with offers to take her away to a mission. I couldn't get over there to join in killing them both repeatedly before she was whisked away though. The moral of the story: turn the earpiece on, but don't wear it.

It took many a frustrating moment, but I finally unlocked the LSPD skin for my ap pistol. I'm sure I'm one of the few legit people with that unlock.

I would like some money because these are artisanal nuggets of wisdom philistine.

As a runner in Top Fun III my tactic is to climb to the altitude ceiling, evade, then do a skilful HALO jump right into the hanger.
Did this with some pubbies the other night, and got lots of messages along the lines of "Holy Shit!" from my team-mates who had already been shot down and were spectating. :)
This only works because most of the time the players in the Jets don't think to look above the cloud layer, especially when it's raining, they usually buzz around/camp the airport expecting you to try to land the plane. :bz

That's the police SUV that comes out once you hit 4 stars. ONly police vehicle you can steal and keep (tracker/insure) a few of us have it. Instead of a horn the siren/lights turn on and cars will brake or pullover if you have it on while driving.
