CHALLENGE 38: finish 'em off

So you guys remember newspaper comics, right? Most of us grew up on them. Some were great and inspired us, some were baffling and confused us, and a lot were just rubbish. But they're all part of our artistic heritage.

The challenge this time is to pick a newspaper strip (current or past) and finish it. Write the ending it should have had. Tie up a long running serial with a dramatic twist. Or just kill off all your most hated characters in a legacy comic that should have died twenty years ago. Give it your all, be funny, be poignant, be brutal.

Don't feel constrained by the artistic style of the comic, either, although bringing your own spin to the art while still making it recognizable would be pretty awesome.

Challenge ends some time in the future. Probably about a month.

The rules are simple;

RULES:

* A contestant cannot win more than two challenges in a row.
* Winner gets the privilege of choosing the next challenge.
* Winner also gets the honor of picking the winner of the next challenge.
* At the end of a challenge, the thread is locked and a new one is begun.
* Stick to the challenge topic; no going off on a tangent.
* All formats welcome, whether they be traditional or digital; 2D or 3D; still or animated.
