Churbles - Art from the game I am working on

CrashGemCrashGem MarylandRegistered User new member
I've been lucky enough to get a group of friends together to develop our own video game this year. We decided to make the game an RPG about these sort of Hamster like creatures called Churbles. It's been a really awesome experience working together as a group developing the look and feel of the game. Here are some of our earlier concepts

After we decided what a Churble should look like we settled on the tradition Warrior, Rogue, and Mystic roles for the starting classes.

The Rogue was especially tricky to design, but once we had a pointy eared hoodie on him we knew we had the right design.

Some of our other class concepts:

Designing villainous Churbles to be antagonists was one of our favorite parts so far:

We tried to keep the monster just as cute, but you know, monstrous:

Anyways. What do you guys think? Cool? Cute? Too cute? We have lots of concept and finished art for the game we'd love to share is anyone is interested.

Did you do all this art yourself? If not this comes awefully close to site whoring, which is not allowed.

So there's things i want to say, but honestly, since i don't know your user name, and it SEEMS like you're just promoting finished material, i don't think you're going to get much feedback until

    1) we know this is YOUR art
    2) You're activly looking for crits to improve

I don't mean to sound negative, but we get a lot of people here who make an account, drop in work, and never return. And we're really not about this here in the AC

All the work I posted is the work of our lead artist and the collaborations with our team.

We really are looking for critiques from the community, particularly other artists. We wanted the game to be kid friendly cute, but maybe we are going overboard? Is it too cute? Could the designs be cooler? The game is still in development, I was hoping to use this thread to give our team a larger pool of feedback as we explore more monster, character, and environment designs. If this is not the place for that, then I understand and apologize for the post.

Yeah. Cool looking stuff, but these forums dont really work this way. The artists themselves are more than welcome and encouraged to start their own accounts and post their work though. It looks like some awesome stuff and i actually really do think the art is awesome, But more than likly this thread will prob get locked.

@Crashgerm, Its true that we only give critiques directly to artists, and one of the AC rules is that you must be posting your own work. We dont do managers/writers/partners/whatever being a proxy for critiques, as it generally benefits all parties involved to cut out the middle man.

You say they are all individually interested in Feedback, so if the artists represented want to make their own forum accounts, I can allow you to have this thread as a group effort. Otherwise, indeed, I'll have to lock it.
