Just get a foreign Ponyta and breed with a compatible mate from your game. That'll increase your odds.

Yeah but there is a lot of hurdles like trying to get a foreign Ponyta. I see jerks putting up foreign dittos for Legendaries. Then I gotta see if it has good IV's and Nature. And thats still something I'd have to brush up on.
no, shinies seem to have a better chance of appearing in friend safaris. I found 3 the other day in an hour and a half. my friend also got a shiny ponta out of the friend safari. it's rumored the person has to be online though.
Does anyone have a safari zone with Dittos or know who I could message for one? I'd like to help out with that uber list, but I've yet to add anyone with a ditto zone.

Wait...do you mean that if you drop off a level 1 pokemon with 4 egg moves at the daycare and let it gain 30 levels, the game won't stop passing down all four moves until you move it out and back in again?

Observation I made while IV-breeding Tyrunts with Ice Fang, Fire Fang, Thunder Fang.
If you have a "reject" of one of those, I wouldn't say no to trading you for it
Feel free to make any suggestions for the format. I feel like we should just make a separate line for each pokemon we have available. Then I think it would be most optimal to just sort the list by Pokemon.

Ok, I think I finally got passing down IVs, abilities, and natures. How to breed on egg moves? I've done some breeding with high level 'mons, and the babies all still end up with their normal level 1 moves.

You could also go for Gooey, which cuts Speed of anyone making physical contact.

I don't know what to do with it, seems to have a lot of options, but I just want something right now for the normal game. I've been running through these bushes for awhile and have only caught three, and two were Jolly, and even though I'm not doing super serious battling right now, it just bothers me.

I realized that when I dragged my entire evolvable PC contents, six at a time, over the rocky path to Glittering Cave. It only took me most of Sunday.

I found that the Exp Share can support somewhere around 16-20 pokemon without grinding until around the seventh gym/mid 40s, at which point you might want to start scaling back.
I made a new column in the Breeding spreadsheet that says "Specific Trade?"
This is to be used to indicate whether you will only trade for a certain something. I went ahead and put "No" for everyone already on there, but definitely feel free to go back and change it if you would like. I'm sure most people don't really want anything in particular, but I'm of the opinion that you shouldn't be required to give these away "for nothing" if you don't want.

Given how OP the EXP Share is in this gen it won't be a problem. My guys are already Lv.45 and just hit Coumarine city.
On the other hand, for those of us who didn't use Exp Share, the levels this gen get a little out of hand. I'm at the League's doorstep and I have a team at like 54-55, while people tell me this starts at like mid-sixties.
Man. I probably should have gotten that Gardevoir in place of Meowstick.
It really sucks having a crappy safari zone. I'm tempted to restart my entire game.
It's tied to your friend code I believe. I think the only way to change it would be to perform a factory reset on your 3DS. I wouldn't worry about it though.
