It's basically Sleep Clause plus OHKO moves plus bans every possible thing that could increase evasion somehow. Also Drizzle + Swift Swim, for some reason.
the thing about Smogon bans is it is support their own little corner of the Pokemon battle community. it's a lot of simulator play that's creates a really different metagame from what's going on inside X and Y. For example there's a weather nerf in X and Y that the Smogon list doesn't examine, so maybe swift swim + drizzle becomes is more acceptable in this generation. And official Nintendo tournament standards are totally different - doubles only and different sorts of bans and such.
So use good judgement and pick what you like.

Up-and-coming hero Fondor Yards was visiting the city of Ft. Lauderdale when the kaiju attacked.
Fondor Yards deployed Scizor against the dreaded Ghidorah/Hydreigon but this was met with a powerful Fire Blast.
Next up was the hard punching Kangaskhan which went Mega. This Kangaskhan was like Noah's Ark, it had two of everything. Double Fake-Outs, double Sucker Punches, double Earthquakes, double Power-up Punches.
It was severely damaged by Ghidorah's Draco Meteor but still punched it to death. Next was Rodan/Aerodactyl. A quick switch allowed it to change to Dragonite and avoid a Earthquake.
Rodan gave Dragonite a brutal Ice Fang, but was also punched out with a Thunder Punch.
Mothra/Volcarona came in to take on Dragonite, but it switched into Reunculus who took Mothra's Buzzing to the face.
Reuniculus switched into Fondor Yards' own Volcarona. A fire fight ensued, but it was Mothra that was victorious.
Kangaskhan was back to get the Kaiju back for its friends. Mothra beat a hasty retreat and let Hedorah/Muk take over.
BIG MISTAKE! Hedorah ate double Earthquakes and just went down.
Gojira/Tyranitar fared little better. It managed to deal a small amount of Pursuit damage and finish off Kangaskhan with Sandstorm damage, but not before falling to the continuous Power-Up Punches.
Mecha Gojira Vs. Reunculus was ended with a single Iron Head.
Breloom came in Spore-Sub-Punching. The only thing Mecha Gojira could do was to allow Mothra to soak a Spore with its Lum Berry.
Mothra then managed to clean up the weakened Dragonite and susceptible Breloom.
Fondor Yards was forced to retreat back to their base in Sunrise. End result: Ft. Lauderdale Destroyed
Part 2 The revenge
Heroic Fondor Yards decided to make a stand at their home in Sunrise. This would be the decisive battle and they were more than ready.
The first kaiju to approach was Gojira/Tyranitar. He was met head on by Scizor. Scior broke all of Gojira's bricks and ended his advance. Scizor and Mega Kangaskhan, being more prepared, brought the fight to the kaiju.
There were so many fists.
The kaiju crumbled under the massive onslaught. Sunrise was saved and the kaiju menace defeated. End Result: Sunrise Saved
Hope you enjoy the story. Fondor Yards, if you want me to go into more detail on the second battle I can write more, but I think this summarizes your brutality.
Nah it's fine, the 2nd wasn't quite so one-sided, luckily I was about to take Volcarona down early. I forgot about Kangaskhan in the first. I had 4 hp left after Pursuit+Sand Storm, with that and Breloom I thought I had the game won. Then the sandstorm ended and the sun came up and scorched the lands barren, and it's name was Mothra.

You could start with something like Mamoswine and Talonflame, and make sure you have such a spread that all of your pokemon have an opposite component to each other, be it typing, size, disposition, color, or what have you.
It would be called the Balance Badge and the symbol would be a Yin Yang

What moves are you running on Kangaskhan?
Power-UP Punch, Sucker Punch, Fake-Out, Earthquake. I'm considering switching out Fake-Out for some better type coverage but it keeps being useful and so much fun.

Hey guys, if I'm still struggling with this tentacool breeding tomorrow, would anyone be able to lend me something to help move the breeding long? I've been breeding a 4IV Tentacool male with a 5IV female all day and just getting shit. The only progress I'm making is a second 5IV female a half hour ago.

Do you really need a 6IV Tentacool? Rapid Spin will do crap damage no matter what. Maybe the extra point of damage will matter, but it's unlikely.

Sir, be advised that you are hacking away at the very foundations of our world.
Hmmm, do I keep going for for 5 IV Rotom or do I settle for the one with 4 I've got already? It'd go faster if it didn't absolutely have to be bred with Ditto.
Or I guess if I had better Dittos. I don't have any with more than 3 perfect IVs.
Mulch is worth more money than berries. Too slow for massproduction, I think. More convenient to sell whole berries. Not that it matters.
In BW2, some berries were worth 30 000 a piece.
Hey, I'm not judging you. I mean, who doesn't want perfect babies? A crazy person that's who. I just want to battle y'know. 20+ in non-vital stats is more than acceptable for me at this point of time.
Added to @Last Son, @SoulFury and @Dracil to Friend Safari. Please feel free to add me back, Friend Code is signature. If any one has added me, could you please inform me as to my Friend Safari? Much appreciated.
Some novice questions about Pokemon-Amie (I somehow played a couple of hours of the game without noticing it existed, and now I'm spending a significant fraction of my game time feeding my pokemon cupcakes. It's really extremely cute).
1. Do affection values decay over time?
2. If a pokemon (e.g., Riolu, Azurill) evolves with happiness, does that mean it needs 5 hearts to evolve?
3. I notice that when I am rollerblading around, my pokemon get squashed against the side of their pokeball. Is this just aeshetic, or does it make them unhappy?

The theme would be opposites.
Fire/Ice
Big/Small
Happy/Angry (looking?)
Young/Old

0 Atk is the optimal Atk if you're not doing physical damage.

In BW2, some berries were worth
"These are all seriously po-kay-MON!"
...Now i'm not sure if use that to start an azuril breedign project, or start from scratch to make myself a 5 IV scyther...

Happiness is a different, mostly hidden value. It increases when walking, and other things.
Has anybody tested Kangaskhan with the Metronome-item?
If it has Metronome, then it wouldn't be able to hold Mega Kangaskahnite.
Also, would anyone be willing to trade me a Taillow? Those bastards are impossible to find.
Yes please, I would love that.
