Name that movie! Probably an 80s movie

My sister just e-mailed me and asked if I know the name of a movie. All of the details I have are there was a kid, he had a friend named Tatiana, and he had some KGB disc in his backpack which he may have thought was a video game. Sounds pretty 80s. The KGB thing in a backpack that the kid thinks is a video game sounds familiar to me. Google is failing me on this one.

Since you guys are amazing at pulling movies, tv shows, and video games out of thin air with only a bad description, I'm hoping you can come through.
