FLCL is a 26 episode budget show spread out over 6 episodes. From a pure technical animation standpoint it's worth the watch because holy shit what an awesome irresponsible financial decision.

That is how most OVAs go. Also they don't have to worry about retaining a TV audience week after week so they can easily avoid cliffhanger BS.
The shorter the series the better isn't a terrible rule of thumb when it comes to anime.
the first 140 or so naruto episodes felt preeeetty solid
even some of the filler wasn't bad because naruto/hinata/kiba never got old for me
Bleach ended last year. Adult Swim is airing the episodes they have to catch up on, which ends next August which is when they'll air the last produced episode.

good bad whatever
just give me more bleach cartoon that isn't the terrible made up filler stories
I mean, its good they stopped making the show at least for a while, because they had done the exact same "fight an evil version of yourself" filler arc about 5 times in a row to let the manga get ahead again
but I like what the manga is doing and would enjoy watching it broken up into little 22 minute chunks of cartoon at some point in the future
edit I've watched the whole thing up to the end on hulu
Thought it easily had the best story and characterization of any of the Arkham games.
I really liked how they explained Bane's grotesque appearance in Asylum and City. All the stuff with Alfred and Batman was great. Troy Baker was fantastic as Joker and peeking inside Joker's head and perception of Batman was really interesting.
Good game.

Why can't all anime filler be as good as dragonball
Because there aren't any cars in Naruto
Didn't they have two full episodes devoted to taking a written test
Didn't one of their non-filler episodes that aired on AS just 2 or 3 weeks ago focus entirely on a girl getting slowly beaten into a coma because she refused to stay down in front of Naruto and Naruto refused to stop cheering for her to keep getting up
basically, if kickass had been written by someone with a scrap of faith in humanity
So, the Kickass movies then? Sounds good but that may be in part due to the comparison with Mark Millar who is a sociopath who drops the ball on every good idea he has.
I've got some spare cash floating around on an iTunes giftcard, I think.
I would honestly say the best way to hit it would just be to go in blind. It's only $4 and I guarantee you will at minimum get your money's worth.
If you want a description of it though:
It's a little hard to explain, because I'm not sure there has ever been something exactly like it
in really broad strokes you could call it an "adventure game"
at first blush, it looks like an illustrated eBook, but as you go further into it, the words start to break out of traditional paragraph formatting and take on the shapes of rooms, stairways, and corridors, so that the physical text roughly resembles the space that the words are describing. As you scroll through, there are pictures with parallax scrolling, which give the impression that they're "windows" into the world. As you scroll through the text, sounds play that fit with what's going on, like footsteps when your character walks, that kind of thing. Some of the windows have interactive buttons, which are usually used to input codes. By combing the text, pictures, and sounds for clues, you find the codes you need to input to progress.
All in all the game is like 3 hours long, tops, so it's not a big money or time commitment. But it is incredible and you should play it

Uh
That shoe part
I mean I guess it's something you can be proud of, but assigning winners and losers to lesbianism (oh I guess that is a word) is a little odd.
the world it creates is goofy and silly and weird, but the characters all feel like actual people and their interactions are incredibly genuine

with very few exceptions, if you go over 26 you're going to see a gradual (sometimes marked) decrease in quality
I miss bleach
Steam

you mean you miss when bleach was good?

and then
"oh neat they're going to soul society that will be a cool brief diversion to flesh things out"
"wowwww this is taking a while, but, okay, they gotta get back to anime ghostbusting eventually, right"
"hurray they're finally finished! Even though... several of the bad guys got away..."
"Oh they're just gonna keep doing this shit that I don't care about, huh. Wellll fuck it then"

basically, if kickass had been written by someone with a scrap of faith in humanity
it is thematically similar to MGS2, aesthetically similar to The Prisoner, and mechanically super unique and original
there is nothing for me not to slobber over

It is a interactive story? A puzzle game? You wake up locked in a weird place and solve mysteries.
I want to say it has a very The Prisoner feel to all of it.
