Yeah, if you don't do enough DPS, they definitely start moving again, so... keep that in mind.
I almost died because I was trying to get to the red lake on my druid, but she does such shit dps (and it's been a year since I played her), so the bird started and stopped like 4 times and I got dropped over land instead of over water. If I didn't have cat form fall damage reduction, I'd've died from the fall.
The birds are total bullshit for feral druids since you can't shapeshift while they're carrying you, and trying to kill something with Wrath as a non-balance druid is pretty bad.
You can apparently force a shift by using abilities like Might of Ursoc, Berserk, Dash, or any other ability that forces a shift into a shapeshift form. Still total garbage and I just buy gliders and avoid the entire situation.
Man, I do not agree with Blizzard's argument about ease of gearing up alts. "If we make it reasonable for you to gear up 8 alts, it'll just be super boring for someone that has just two characters!"
Well, jeez, people didn't really seem to complain about it in Wrath, did they? Making gearing up to the previous tier's gear easy doesn't make a character boring! There's lots of current-tier gearing and raiding that you then enter into, which is where the sink should be! Grah.

For that spot you can angle out into fatigue waters, mount/flight form and fly up high, fly towards the spot and hit a glider and get there. Much quicker than dealing with the birds.
Yeah, I saw that, but I was on a druid, so no slow-fall, and not enough coins to waste 1k on consumable gliders.
Yea..wait 30 minutes then and buy some with your 75k coins.

Cast Prowl and you go into cat form while being carried by a bird.
Stampeding roar I think will put you in bear form.
That's how I get out of it with my guardian when using the taxis.

I haven't been on a bird in months so I didn't realize it. I pretty much just did it twice when the isle came out to get the two chests on the cliffs in the west.

Yeah, you shouldn't really be on the isle until 90, and then you can.

Anyone wanna recommend some glyphs for balance druids? I feel like the choices don't matter.
Yeah they're pretty bad. There ones that are any good are Stampede (which lets you stay in Moonkin while casting Stamp. Roar), Stampeding Roar (increases the range of Stamp. Roar), Rebirth (BRes with full health) and depending on the fight, Glyph of Guided Stars (Starfall only hits targets with Sunfire or Moonfire).
The last one is good for fights with multiple targets where you really only want to be hitting one, like Paragons.
Bah, finally get a night to play and they seem to be having a technical kerfuffle. My server isn't even in the "down" list, and I can't get past 90% loaded without disconnecting. Ah well.

Stampeding Roar & Stampeding Roar (the other one) are pretty much mandatory given the raid utility they give. Rebirth is...eh, not worth it, and Guided Stars is very fight specific (ie- Paragons and maybe Garrosh).
I've been using Glyph of Healing Touch when I'm running Dream of Cenarius so Nature's Swiftness comes up marginally sooner, but it's like shaving off a really thin slice of a horrible piece of cake. That and I really really hate how much Glyph of Guided Stars messes up your opener.
The choices don't matter because there's really no major glyph for Balance that's good for your dps (not like with the other three specs, which all have glyphs you'd be an idiot not to take). The only glyph that you'd really take for DPS reasons would be Glyph of Guided Stars and only for bosses where you need to single target the boss while there's other targets still up (minor dps boost in that all of your Starfall stars only go to the boss). I'd suggest picking anything that seems like it'd be useful for how you play. If you find yourself using Nature's Grasp in dungeons/the world often then grab the glyph for that. If you find that you'd really like to silence things more often than once a minute then try out Glyph of Fae Silence. If you find yourself using Rebirth all the time you might want to pick up Glyph of Rebirth. If you use Stampeding Roar a bunch in raids, then Glyph of Stampeding Roar is useful (couple it with Glyph of Stampede if you can't stand the couple of global cooldowns you lose from shifting to bear/cat and then back to Moonkin when using it).
There's also a smattering of glyphs that are good for PVP as well, but if you're not pvping then you might not care. Barkskin, Cyclone, Dash, Hurricane, Might of Ursoc, and Omens are ones I'd say are focused more around PVP than PVE.
Most important glyph for Balance, Guardian and Resto druids is the minor glyph of grace.
I always giggle when Thok's trash tries killing me through fall damage.
I mean, points for effort in that design, but I already have the ability to glitch away fall damage through a carefully timed kitty teleport (which remains awesome, incidentally).
Just as an FYI to those that are having trouble getting coins relatively quickly due to being a fresh 90 or just undergeared in general - run around and tag the Rare mobs, then back up and let the cluster of others murder it, and then go collect loot. Of particular interest are the three rares: Evermaw (swims around the isle, big whalesharkfish thing), Dread Ship Vasuvius (summoned on the beach just north of the Horde camp on the west side of the isle), and Karkanos (literally Lurker below from TBC, spawns on the docks just south of the little village that is south of the center arena thing). They drop boatloads of coins for the first couple kills you do of the day, so make sure you swing by those spots to check for a spawn every so often, or grab a rare timer addon like RareCoordinator or something.
Getting the helmet from the hozen treasure chest helps a lot with the boss slayer mentioned as well, it increases swim speed by 200% for 15 mins. The other neat trick that druids can do is use that item in the regular panda lands and use flight form. Flying monkey mode engaged. ^.^
Another good item to have is the raft from Anglers rep (you get it at revered, so it's not a horrible grind), you can attack while riding it and so long as you don't take any damage, you don't fall off of it. Elixir of Water Walking is also helpful, but may not be very cost effective as noone farms up the mats for them any more on most servers.
Alternatively, feel free to PM me and I'll shoot ya my battletag if you want some help either finding the big chests or just running around murdering stuff. I'm online alot, and not usually doing anything other than farming up stuff for gold so I can get a couple mounts I'm wanting.

The raft is literally an infinite elixir of water walking that just doesn't work while mounted, so if you find yourself not being a shaman and needing to water walk all the time, the raft is a good deal. Even moreso if you're a druid: if you go travel form on the raft you can go above 400% speed when fully jumped up which means no one but another druid doing what you're doing can catch up to you on it if you're in an area without flying.
I like the hozen helmet because then I can grab the white circles while chasing Evermaw. In case people don't know, the purple circles kill you and the white circles give a stacking 10% haste and damage buff.
What they should actually do is just slow down his movement speed so that you can actually keep up with him by swimming. It's dumb that you need a speed boost of some kind to keep up with him.

So a bunch of my friends have started WoW up again and I'm waiting for my old account to get unlocked (Authenticator issues) and I'm hoping for some pointers.
I played from the Tournament in Wrath to the Deathwing raid in Cata and pretty much only played Druid. I started out with Balance/Resto but switched to BearCat in Cataclysm because pulling great DPS as an offtank was awesome. I know they killed that spec (we have 4 trees or something?) but what other major changes have the made to the class? Are all four specs pretty balanced? Anything I need to know about leveling through MoP? Can I still make all the money I'll ever need with JC, Auctioneer, and Ore shuffle?

Yea, druids have 4 trees (tank, melee dps, ranged dps, and heals), and they can all perform pretty well for the most part. I'm not sure on top-end hardcore raiding and each spec's performance, but they are good enough for anything else assuming you know wtf you're doing. As far as leveling goes, there's two ways to do it - fast (head straight to the next zone as soon as you get a quest to go there), or completionist style (finish off a zone before moving on). Granted, there's other ways, but they aren't that fun unless you love grinding on grubblings and storks. Either way doesn't take very long assuming you start from 85. And the money thinger all depends on how solid your server's economy is. Mine is terrible, so I have to resort to making fortune cards and cracking them for money as it's more cost effective to just do that then anything else.
Haha, I thought I was the only one still making fortune cards to get rid of that dye. I got one of the 1000g cards and just banked it, largely because it's prolly the only one I'll ever see.
I really hate Evermaw. And its not the speed, it's purely the fatigue. It creates an otherwise completely unneccessary recovery mechanic where you have to continuously paddle back to shore, recover your resource (mana/runes/w/e). then head back. On some like DKs, its completely horrible as your runes just 'lock-up' and you can't use them even if fully recovered. Even when you have combat regen (like Destro locks) the fatigue kills it and you still have to run back to shore to recover the mana no matter your fatigue meter. Only something like an elemental shaman that generates its resource as it uses it gets off scott-free. Shaman is the only class I bother fighting Evermaw start to finish, unless there's a large group. And even then, I prefer to wait till he's mostly dead to participate. Feel like an ass but that fights just too annoying. I havent played a warrior or rogue on timeless yet, anyone know if fatigue freezes your rage or energy generation?
As for druid leveling, all specs are viable but I liked leveling as a guardian the most. You kill things slower, but its not all that bad and you never have to worry about dying unless you try to fight a Zandalari Scout.

I'd say that the pandaria questlines are some of the best that Blizzard has ever done. It's worth sticking around in each zone to finish them, although if you do this I'd expect you to be 90 shortly before/after reaching townlong.
Fatigue as a concept is dumb. Put up invisible walls and get it over with. Or ports. Or anything but "You can go this way, but not really, oh now you diiiiiiie...dead!".

Any priest healers, in the past I NEVER used Heal I only used Greater Heal and flash heal. But I'm seeing recommendations to use heal now? What's up with that? Note, I am level 40. But I have played a priest most of my WoW career. Just not for most of pandaria.

Mistweaver looks like it'll be fucking INCREDIBLE at later levels. Like a heal spec that can kick some ass at least in non-group content.
