Bravely Default is kinda the spiritual successor to 4 heroes of light and I guess Playstation is the most popular gaming relating thing out there. It's kinda weird when Amazon knows you are searching for something and will show you related items but not what you want.

There I was, 3DS: 2621-2671-9899 (Ekera), Wii U: LostCrescendo
I bought a 3DS on sale back in august to get animal crossing... but after hearing about the inevitable screen scratching, and having my hand cramp up playing pokemon, I am ready for an XL. plus I am sucker for golden systems/controllers/accessories. I ran out and bought the gold 360 controller, even though I have 4 perfectly functional ones already.
I know that the games/eStore are locked by region, but you can still access the device's eStore region from outside correct? As in, if I were to buy a US 3DS and try to access the eStore from Australia, we would be redirected to the US store?
I was looking at getting one for my girlfriend and found a bundle that I think she would really like, but I can only find stock in the US.

Yes, though I believe you may need to supply a US address if it asks. (which isn't difficult)

Excellent, I can just use my parent's address back home then. Thanks!

The Iwata Asks is off to a fantastic start!
Iwata Partway through development, your staff was taken away by other projects so for a while this project was at a standstill. While it wasn't the smoothest game to complete, I heard from various sources internally that the game turned out really well. Even (Shigeru) Miyamoto-san whispered, "This Zelda game is good!"
Aonuma What? Why doesn't he tell us these things directly?! (laughs)
Everyone (laughs)
Shikata No, it was cold from the start! (laughs) Everyone (laughs)
Mouri As soon as we started the presentation, I could clearly see Miyamoto-san's facial expression rapidly darkening. I thought, "This is bad..." And then at the end he said, "This sounds like an idea that's 20 years old," that was the killing blow. We were down on the floor.
Iwata What did you do once you were beaten down?
Shikata He had ripped it apart so badly that I was distraught.
Tominaga
Without letting myself be constrained by the world of The Legend of Zelda, I made a few small dungeons with entering-the-wall ideas I came up with, and then about May of 2012, I presented them to Miyamoto-san saying that I would be making 50 more of these dungeons where you used the entering-walls ability.
Jerk Miyamoto is the best. Which Iwata Asks ended with Miyamoto leaving early, and so the entire last page was Iwata encouraging everyone left to tell their worst Shiggy stories?
Anyone know how big the new Zelda game will be? I'm getting the digital version through the 3DS XL bundle. Will I have enough space on the 4G card that comes with it for ALBTW and Oracle of the Seasons (free pre-order bonus)?

Question about the digital bundle 3DS XLs: If I get that Mario and Luigi one (which I will, no matter what), will I be able to transfer over my stuff and still have the M&L game on there? Is it a download code, or is the game already on the system?

Generally the game is pre-installed on the hardware, with the only exception being the Zelda 3DSXLs for some reason. (Judging by the wording on the box.)
If you transfer your data from an old 3DS to the new M&L model, the pre-installed game will be removed from the system. However, after transferring, it's just a matter of launching the eShop to get it back; it'll be added to your list of purchased items, where you can redownload it free of charge.
Remember the Atlus teaser site with an ultrasound image of a baby? If you guessed it was for Conception II give yourself a high five! Atlus will localize Spike Chunsoft’s baby making role playing game and in the West it will be called Conception II: Children of the Seven Stars.
While the game is a sequel to a PSP RPG only released in Japan, Conception II is a standalone story. You are a Disciple with powers from a Star God to fight monsters inside Pandora Labyrinth. The problem is there are too many monsters spawning. Since a Disciple’s powers expire when you turn 19 you need to create new disciples, which means "making" star children. Wacky premise aside, Conception II has a neat combat system where enemies have directional weak spots and there are dating sim-lite mechanics where you can build your relationship with the girls by giving them presents.
Conception II will be released in Spring 2014 for Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation Vita. The game will be $39.99 on either platform.
Guess being bought by Sega doesn't stop Atlus from localizing weird stuff.
So, what things would I, as a new 3DS owner (and someone who hasn't owned anything Nintendo since the GB Color) need to know? Thanks!

Already part of the plan, although I'll probably stick with one game at a time (so Zelda first). But like, do I need a separate SD card? Or a special account created beforehand to buy digital stuff or whatnot? I have a Vita, but I dunno if the stores work similarly or not
New 3DS owners will be able to nab a free copy of excellent Nintendo platformer Super Mario 3D Land over the festive period.
To be eligible, you'll need to register a 3DS or 3DS XL and one of the participating games below on Nintendo's Club Nintendo website between 15:01 UK time 27th November and 22:59 UK time on 13th January.
Those games are:
Mario & Luigi: Dream Team Bros.
Animal Crossing: New Leaf
Zelda: A Link Between Worlds
Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D
Fire Emblem: Awakening
Luigi's Mansion 2
Lego City Undercover
Sonic Lost World (3DS)
Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate (3DS)
Pokémon X
Pokémon Y
Bravely Default (including Deluxe Collector's Edition)
New Super Mario Bros. 2
Mario Kart 7
Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy
You can then request a free download code for Mario 3D Land from Nintendo UK's site.
The offer does not apply to anyone who has already registered a 3DS system - although, of course, if you have yet to register a system you've already bought you should now wait until the 27th to do so.
Sweet, looks like I'll be getting a free copy of Super Mario 3D Land along with my Zelda 3DS XL
Fuckin' Mario 3D Land
Luigi's Mansion 2 is great
If you need more Zelda after A Link Between Worlds, Ocarina of Time 3D is the best version of that game
Senran Kagura is good if a bit embarrassing
The ridge around the bottom screen can scratch the top screen. So place a piece of microfiber cloth between them, or put adhesive rubber feet on the lid to separate the screens more. Or do both.

Ocarina of Time 3D is an interesting release.
Nintendo managed to re-release a game that looks as good as we trick ourselves into thinking it looked when we first played it. So in effect, they found a way to release a game with a rose-colored filter. It was wonderful.

I bought the game at launch to get the soundtrack, and would you know I never finished it.
Come to think of it I don't think I've ever finished Ocarina of Time on any platform. I always get burnt out around the spirit temple.

I'm biding my time to get the 3ds xl on the cheap as soon as its available... do I need to do that with the XL?
also any bargain hunters savvy on how to get the cheapest 3dxl?

Funny enough, OoT3D was the first time I ever played the game to completion.
A friend let me borrow OoT and his N64 and the Water Temple frustrated me so much I quit.

Yeah, the XL is the one I'm talking about. That's what I've done with my XL. I also have a screen protector on both screens.

3DSXL will be $149 on Black Friday at Target. If you're a Red Card member you can save an extra 5%, or $142.50 before tax.
If you want the original 3DS model, the gorgeous Cobalt Blue color bundled with Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon will be $149 at Best Buy and Toys R Us on Black Friday as well.

I ground to a halt after completing the Fire Temple. I killed that damn dragon thingy and I just couldn't figure out what to do after that. I found an ice cave, but I can't go anywhere in there and I just had so many other more pressing games to play it fell by the wayside. Maybe someday I'll crack out a walkthrough or something and play through to completion.

Actually... for some reason searching for Bravely Default brings up this:
Switch (JeffConser): SW-3353-5433-5137 Wii U: Skeldare - 3DS: 1848-1663-9345
PM Me if you add me!
But then it might come as a combo which I really have little use for

If you don't mind going to a store, you can save $20 at Wal-Mart or get Best Buy, Target, or Toys R Us to match Wal-Mart and save the $20 there.
