Penny Arcade lobby games were the best. Would people be up for trying to plan those and such?
Edit: Like, would people be up to doing them more if they got scheduled or whatnot?
Typically the best times for lobbies would be times when we run tournaments - somewhere between 6pm-12am EST on Friday and Saturday nights. You pick up all the Aussies and all the Americans usually with those timeslots, though you only get the insomniac Euros.
Blizzard seems to be one of the more reliable companies that makes games that I care about, are fun, cost little relative to the time I put in, and are supported extensively for years after release.
So yeah. I'm OK giving them a bit of my soul in return :P

Yeah, that seems like a good time. I'd be more concerned with how many people would be interested even in showing up. We are slowing down a bit even in talking about the game, let alone people that actually still play
I would play more if I had people to play with I knew. Part of the fighting game lobby fun I think is talking with people while you wait your turn.
Contrasted with grinding out games on the ladder solo, which is great if your in the mood to just focus and play, but really lonely feeling. I miss the social aspect of playing competitive games among friends.

I would play more if my laptop wouldn't overheat after two games.
The last time I tried playing any kind of team game I'd be playing a slide show by the end game when food count was over 50 across 8 players.
I'm up for lobbies for sure though. I just might have to spectate more than be reliable player.
I can always be on mumble and breath heavily while all y'all play.
How often do you see them go swarm hosts in mech tvz?
most of the time. it's usually muta-> swarm host. sometimes there's a roach switch in there but swarm hosts do thejob of ruining a thor heavy comp better.
I've mostly won from taking an eco edge by scouting the mutas and responding well enough that I can cancel the 4th at least on a counter (4 ish thors, 3 vikings, turrets at home)

Yeah def. mutas are a nice counter to the tanks terran use as well as drop harass they attempt at hosts' mobility weakness.
If you go mech tvz and win most of the time then you're def at the top of your game in that scenario. Most other terran players haven't figured as hosts have a huge passive advantage over tech from what I've seen.
hehe yeah I saw that - it just boggles my mind that someone would have that kind of quick-thinking and skills. No wonder a lot of the top players are like half my age. MY response to that situation would have been - ah well - bye bye drone.
Well, I played terran in beta, and got decent at bio balling back then. But I'm not too set on anything. I liked terran and zerg back in brood war, got decent at mutalisks. My macro is a lot better than my micro(unless my LoL playing has improved it... I doubt it though).
Day9 still does educational shows twice a week or so. And you can watch streams on twitch to see some high level ladder stuff.
Oh by the way, not sure if it was mentioned here, but if you are in alpha, you don't get an email like before. It really just shows up on your blizz launcher.
So open the launcher and look for the icon on the left.
They've been adding people somewhat randomly so it's worth looking.
Also, obviously log into battle.net (web) and check that box.

I'll be playing Diablo, but I'll definitely play SC2 soon.
I can maybe get some time in. I have to go buy foodstuffs too, though, since otherwise there's little to eat at my place

I even spent my hard-earned gold on buying Tassadar
and went on to 20-0 with him in one game

Well, considering his brother is Lucifron, he's probably mastered all matter of defenses against random Terran stuff.
You get all the alpha/betas
