If it does, it's got additional layers of humor. Since you can get through the SP component before having to go to class (midnight launch), the time off work is clearly for MP. But you need at least the rest of work week (96 hours) for that. So the 24 hours would be an additional joke on how stupid these bros are.

He's pretty outstanding, and generally recognized to be so by both bros and not-bros. As far as rap goes he's critically acclaimed there for his physical rapping technique, a really cohesive rhyme scheme, and general lyrical depth.

He's kind of a parody of the bitches-and-hoes rapper, but if you don't look closely enough he might appear only to be a bitches-and-hoes rapper. Although Mike is kind of right here insofar that your average COD bro might like Eminem, I'm kind of disappointed that he'd pigeonhole Eminem to that demographic.

It may seem that way, but regardless I do not agree with that statement. I work in in-home care, and I play the occasional Call of Duty single player campaign. I'd like to believe that not all COD players are jerks, just idiots.

It's a group that is easy to pigeonhole, but obviously doesn't hold true for everyone. There are plenty of people who play Call of Duty who are fine and it's just part of their gaming repertoire. Then there are those who play nothing but CoD online and talk about "pwning n00bz" all day, which is a huge douchey demographic. They are a very vocal group and probably the majority, thus they are an easy target.

Funny comic, if just a retread of a longstanding joke among "true gamers" against the CoD faithful, those perceived as less refined in their gaming habits. I tend to cut CoD gamers some slack, since I know that a lot of them are former Counterstrike players who just want to pop on Xbox live for 15-20 minutes at a time and just scratch the FPS itch in between work, watching the kids, and sleep. It's a casual thing to do if you can't invest lots of gaming time into something deeper.

But, yeah, douchey CoD players most likely listen to Eminem. Also, I picture a lot of Creed and Nickelback CDs lying around

I don't think anyone is seriously implying that all Eminem or COD fans are jerks or idiots. It's a joke. It's using a stereotype to poke a little fun at a demographic that can, quite frankly, take it.

Every time PA makes fun of bros, people rush to the defense of the bros, but when PA makes fun of nerds nobody bats an eye. Maybe the idea is that Mike + Jerry are nerds so people assume they are being good natured about the joking, whereas when they make fun of bros people assume there's actual malice there? Or maybe people who self-identify as bros on these forums feel the need to be more defensive whereas people who self-identify as nerds here feel like they are in good company?

I know for a fact not all CoD players are anything. But the stereotype exists. It's like the stereotype that every <some kind of person> is <stupid/not-of-average-height/rude>. It's not true, just what people believe.

You forgot to add the n-word 15 times to your example of typical online conversation from the CoD community. Although that could have changed since the last time I forgot to immediately mute every single person in the lobby, but I doubt it.

CoD on Xbox Live is a wretched hive of scum and villainy. Though the 13-14 year-olds who emulate the language are far worse than the bros who'd love to smoke and eat some Doritos Locos Tacos. Those guys just don't care; the kids' behavior actually kind of hurts my soul a little.

Still, this comic is great and accurate
