I'm still trying to decide whether getting the GB KI is worth it. When I played it, I didn't have much fun, but then again, I didn't play it for long.

I had GB KI as a kid, and didn't play the NES one until Virtual Console. My descriptions of both:

NES- Die repeatedly while wielding the worst ever weapon used by a 2D hero. Apparently stuff changes near the end, but you'll never see it.
GB- Get to the Labyrinth (stage 4?) fairly easily and then become hopelessly lost. Did you get "enough" hammers? Don't worry, the answer is definitely no.

Oh hey, Animal Crossing pouches. My girlfriend bought the Pink pouch on eBay months ago and is now only slightly miffed.

That Animal Crossing pouch is very tempting. Though the Zelda posters are too. The posters seem like a better "deal" as well.

The interior of the Animal Crossing pouch has a weird nylon netting similar to the interior of your average pair of swim shorts, and because of this it's not reversible like the previous pouches.

Starting on April 7, 2014, any newly registered Nintendo DS or Wii games (both retail and digital copies) will continue to receive product registration surveys, but no longer be eligible for 10-coin post-play surveys. In addition, starting on April 7, the deadline to complete newly earned post-play surveys for all games will be 30 days after they are issued.

That's different then. You should be able to register them both.

At least I was able to. Though I wasn't able to register my second XL.

In light of the Pokemon XY promo I'm jumping on this bandwagon, and I want to make sure that I am not missing anything about the general Club Nintendo-isms.

Earn Coins for intend-to-buy: do I only get the coins if I actually end up buying the game?

Register Consoles/Games, get coins, and they last for two years, wherein I buy prizes with them. Eventually get Gold/Platinum status and get exclusive rewards just for reaching that status (or do I get access to those and get to pay for them?).

Gold/Platinum rewards don't cost coins. And yes you only get the bonus coins for intend to buy if you buy the game within a specific window of time I believe.

@McFlynn Everyone makes mistakes, and I was complaining about Nintendo's decision, not about you.

It's a shame that we have five useless coins sitting there, as it's a little aggravating for people with OCD (like me).

It's definitely weird on Nintendo's part to do an odd increment like that.

I never play with those cards. They just sit on my shelf and collect dust, just like every Platinum reward from the last four years. Nintendo products have a knack for that.

Anyone know if this is true for UK and JP club nintendo? I have a couple of codes I can give out.
