Oh hey, isn't Animal Crossing New Leaf supposed to be good? I'd gotten to a few house upgrades in the DS one, I think, certainly spent a few months doing some stuff each day. Seems like it would be a good download title to have, so you don't have to pop in the cart for your 10 minutes upkeep each time or whatever. Opinions? Hoping nobody's mentioned it because everyone already has it, but I got my N3DS less than a month ago as an upgrade to my DS Lite, so the whole world is new to me...

New Leaf is amazing. It's the first AC game I ever played and I loved it. We've had loads of people playing it back in the day, but I'm not sure how active our community is these days.
I've been meaning to get back into it, but I'm scared that all my favorite neighbors have moved out by now.

Not sure if I'll grab Animal Crossing or Mario Golf (which I hear is wicked good)
Mario Golf World Tour is pretty good if you like golf games. Plus you might have more incentive to grab the DLC courses and characters if you are able to grab the base game for free as a reward.

The real shame is that I paid for SMG2 on the release week to get the lower price, when I could have just waited to claim it as my Elite reward. /sadtrombone

I feel like a lot of folks are going to feel that particular sting.
I was kind of hoping that the reason NA hasn't gotten the Wii VC other regions received is because they were going to put them for sale the week after they offer them for free through Club Nintendo.

That's pretty much been the cycle of sting ever since Club Nintendo scaled back on physical rewards and focused more on game downloads. The rewards they offer are so very frequently the things you bought to earn the rewards in the first place.
I was really hoping for more of a "Here's what we've had to offer already for codes. Just pick one extra!" so I could get like, wonderful 101 or something.
Oh well, at least I can get punch-out and then get RUINED by sandman.

I don't mind - I can get more for selling my physical copy of DKCTF than the $10 I spent on the Wii games the weeks they came out. I'm thinking I'm going to flip it for store credit and get a cheap copy of Captain Toad
Dang. I was really holding out hope for Kirby, Luigi's Mansion, or Dream Team. I don't need any of this stuff that badly. The really sucky thing is that I bought Tropical Freeze for $30 months ago when it was on sale and haven't played it yet (I was hoping to wait until the two friends I played DKCR with were both in town, but we couldn't do it last year).
I guess the main options left on the table are NSMB2 (which I could take or leave at this point), NES Remix 2 (to round out the series, since I just got the first one with coins...too bad I didn't spend them on something else so I could just get Ultimate), or Mario Golf (for some kind of nostalgia trip or something, maybe). Any opinions?

Thread is still active, and I suspect that traffic there will pick up once a bunch of new people pick up the game via CN.
I have no idea what reward I'm going to take, as like many of you I also own most of the ones on that list I care about. Maybe Push/Crashmo...
According to the Target site it's still 30. Is it like an in store promo or something?
Yeah I've been eyeballing Tropical Freeze for a while. That seems like the best choice. Thanks!
Oh yeah, I'm sorry. In-Store price on MK7, SM3DL, DKCR3D, NSMB2, and ACNL is $15 this week at Target via a CheapAssGamer thread that I can link if you'd like me to.
I followed the rules that were presented to me. I attempted to register my codes in the span of time that I was instructed I could do so. That time was artificially cut short through no fault of my own. I should not be punished for someone else's negligence.
I don't think it could reasonably be considered my fault that on the final day a friend gave me 5-6 codes all of a sudden, only one of which I was able to redeem. Also for the record I did all my surveys as soon as the deadline was announced.
P.S. Thank you @Maximumzero for tossing me a code to help me get my last digital prize.

Not necessary but thanks for the offer. My Target is out of them unfortunately . I may have to take a trip later
I think I'm getting Ultimate NES Remix. Funny how I my choices were narrowed down to Mario 3D Land or that in December. I'm glad I picked up 3D Land.
BTW, before making my decision, is New Yoshi's Island that bad? Does it offer some kind of challenge? Because I loved those last damn frustrating stages of Yoshi's Island DS. I'm not kidding there, beating those stages felt good.
Ok. I have a Wii U Deluxe. That will be fine for holding Tropical Freeze, right? Doesn't it have like 32GB?
Tropical Freeze is 11 GB.
Perfect.
Double check your space first. Thanks to typical digital space shenanigins (which isn't Nintendo's fault, it's a stupid global thing for everything), "32 gigs" is more like ~25 gigs of actual free space.
Assuming you haven't really done anything digital, you should be fine. But even disc games take up space that adds up.

Sent a friend of mine the link to the Platinum Rewards so she can pick out a 3DS game for herself. She's currently waffling between Yoshi's New Island and Ultimate NES Remix.

Getting all the various collectables is definitely challenging. The game isn't all that great though.

Mario Kart is $15 this week at Target, and SMG2 is $20 on the eShop, but Tropical Freeze is $50 at Retail and the eShop.
Go with Donkey Kong. It's the best bang for your buck.
