there was never any reason to expect a free respec
Removing a talent from the game and implementing it for free is reason enough in my mind. A lot of rogues went into Subtlety just because Imp. Sap was a requirement for instances. The replacement is basically a PvP talent.
It's not a huge deal since a respec for most 70s is worth a couple minutes of grinding, but all the more reason they shouldn't be stingy about it.
they didn't remove a talent, they changed it's use and made it even more desirable

No, every rogue now has the original imp sap talent built in to the ability. The new imp sap talent is something different.

I know exactly what they did too change Imp Sap to Dirty Tricks.
i wish i could grind like the rest of you who apparently earn 600g an hour and can farm for a respec in a couple of minutes.
Err, respecs cost 15g, if you don't do it more than once a month. You should be able to earn that in 5-10 minutes in any respectable farming spot.
Its pretty common now to respec twice a week. Anyway I fund mine though transmutes, Earth to Water is around 15g and doing it every day is about 100g a week or just enough to fund my two respecs each week.

I think there is. I know plenty of Rogues who were combat but put 7 points in Sub because pretty much they were forced to in order to get a spot in 5 mans.
It's not just "olol 2 points" but for a lot of builds it is 7, and a waste of 7 points can drastically affect your build (IE: 20,41,0 now becomes 13,41,7). Blizzard giving this much needed talent out for free, changes everything for a lot of Rogues, thus in my opinion warranting a free respec.

S'a nice backstabbin build, I'd personally toss a couple points into Imp Sinister Strike for leveling, just for those shitty times when your gouge and kidney shot both miss.
mining/herby is excellent money. engy but shes not what she used to be ;p
Fuck that noise, you can only have one node search option on at a time so having to decide between seeing herbs or seeing ore is beyond annoying. I went mining/skinning and made great money before I caved and just went LW.

Didn't they give Druids a free respec when they made that one spell (Innervate?) a universal skill to train and replaced it with Swiftmend(?)
Yay for double standard.

Druids
* Innervate: This spell is now a base ability for all Druids, trainable at level 40. Any Druid who formerly had the Innervate talent now has the Swiftmend talent instead.
* Nature's Grace: You will no longer consume this effect when casting a spell which was made instant by Nature's Swiftness.
* Swiftmend: This new talent has been added to the Druid Restoration tree, replacing Innervate as the 31 point ultimate talent. It consumes a Rejuvenation or Regrowth aura to produce an instant heal.
* Enrage: Tooltip edited to clarify functionality.
No they didn't.
Oh look at that, signifigantly changing a single talent that was almost worth a spec and they didn't get a respec.

The only downside is I'm not 70 yet (I'm 66). More than a few times I've spotted a vein that has just spawned and literally five seconds later a 70 will pop out of the sky and mine it. Once I get to 70, LOL sap mine will be my best friend.
I want to make a PVP video of me stealthed on top of a nodes killing any one who comes along and mining it after they die.
New new mongoose? What's it like now? What are the new stats for BS weapons and Violet Signet of the master assassin? I need the deets, man! Deeeeeets!

i've found that herb\alch to be great for my rogue. Being able to make my own potions and buffs is really nice.
Probably more too, but that's all I can find, in addition the current PTR changes are only 1/3 of the total changes according to Kalgan, so we've probably got more buffed items

Goddamn this shitty work webfilter. I'll have to check those images when I get home. Thanks for the info and effort though, Serpico.
You know when there's a storm, and lightning is bouncing between the clouds? It's like that. I can only hope it'll show up on my gladiator fist, which has its own glow.
They'd better update the gladiator gear =[
By update, I mean, along with all the rest of the epics. God only knows what they're going to do at the season turnover.

oh i also don't have an epic flyer so i don't gather quickly.

i haven't had anything less then 50g forever.
You and me both.
Collectively i've probably spent close to 2.5k+ gold on respecs alone. On my Rogue.
At the moment I have skinning, for money, and I wondered if it was worth me getting LW (for the armour), or just herbalism / mining for more money.
also I am loving my current build a tonne. It is incredible if you're in a group with a fire mage, the monsters drop so quickly it's wonderful
That's why I like skinning; you don't ever have to go very far to find a beast

+ They buffed BS weapons and the Violet signet of the master assassin.
WoW is sexy again.
