Who else in his or her rightful mind would send Gengar to certain death? Even if it successfully spinblocks, Starmie will still outspeed before it mega evolves and OHKO with Psyshock with or without boosts!
Although I have seen people who have little clue on how to use Gengar properly, so who knows, it might be a realistic scenario.
Mega evolution has maximum priority, so it always goes off before any Pokemon take an action. Mega Gengar has 130 Spd, which pretty handily outpaces Starmie's 115. Also, 170 SpA, ouch,
Switching Gengar into a Starmie is a little risky, because there's always the chance that it will fire off a Psychic/Psyshock on the switch. Hydro Pump will KO in the rain, too, but that's pretty situational.
But if Starmie runs any other move, Gengar's in the clear. It's not TOO hard to predict a Rapid Spin or Recover and switch into that, and there are plenty of Starmie's out there that don't even run Psychic/Psyshock.

Oh, hm. I guess I mis-remembered and the Gengar had already been mega evolved earlier in the match. He definitely got a hit off on me and triggered the +2 Psyshock/Scald doom that obliterated the rest of his party, that much I remember.

I have a 6 perfect IV male Eevee that was hatched on someone else's game, and a 5 IV female one from my game. The female holds a Knot, the male holds a power item that covers the IV that the female doesn't have. I'm going to make a lot of eggs (which won't take long, they're the same species and from different games), hatch them shiny, give them Christmas names (Angel, Nick, etc.) and WonderTrade them in late December.
I could do the same, actually. But my Christmas Wonder Trades are going to be Smeargles and Dittos. I realized I could just catch a box of Dittos from our lucky friend safaris, and all those kids will love having good Dittos right out of the gate.
Since the people on PA who have Ditto Safaris are taking a break right now, I have zero Dittos available at the moment. If you're just giving them away, could I maybe request 2 Dittos with 3 different perfect IVs each, or 3 Dittos with 2 perfect IVs each? I have nothing to jump start breeding my team.

I can get you one of these! I haven't been on as much as I'd like recently, but I can get you an HP Fire Chlorophyll Venusaur.
@undergroundmonorail that would be so helpful. I managed to whip up a Druddigon with 30 SpA/Speed and I'm trying to fold them into a chlorophyll bulbasaur right now and it's a giant pain in the ass. Using Battle Academy to check IVs is ugh.

I know that was a really fun fight! I was thinking it totally had it too with only Staraptor left and then I remembered Bullet Punch >.< I had to just hope for a crit Quick Attack, but alas.

Anywho, since I've finally settled on a team (for now), to get started, does anyone have a male stud from the Mineral group I could have/borrow? Preferably with 0 speed.
