Or you could just play normals. "LOL, first time Lee Sin guys. Sorry before hand".
Dude. I keep telling you not to out me on the boards!!!
Also, I play champs for the first time in normals because I give exactly zero fucks. No experience necessary, just face rolling.

I just chose the 2-4 champs that looked the coolest every week and tried those when I was first starting out. I think playing several games as a couple of champions is more fun than playing one of each, especially because when I was just starting to play, it was hard for me to figure out which champions had kits that synchronized well with my playstyle. I'm still screening new champions every once in a while in bot games because I haven't gotten through them all.
I still haven't tried out every champion--looking at a list, I think I've never played as Brand, Elise, Fiddlesticks, Fiora, Galio, Gangplank, Garen, Karthus, Lee Sin, Malphite, Maokai, Mordekaiser, Nasus, Nautilus, Olaf, Poppy, Renekton, Rengar, Sejuani, Shen, Shyvana, Sion, Skarner, Swain, Trundle, Tryndamere, Viktor, Vladimir, Volibear, Warwick, Yorick, Ziggs, Zilean.
Even with ARAMs. Huh, that's between 1/4 and 1/3 of all champions, including some popular ones. Um...this may be a reason I am bad. It's definitely a reason I'm bad at top lane...
Well, at least I have played as all the adcs and supports. I live in bot lane.
And this isn't even listing all the champions I've tried a total of once, or the ones I tried playing at summoner level 5 and never again (hi Jax, hi Anivia).
No bear and no bear lady!?!?!?! WHAT IS THIS
Also, time cop is great and you should try him at least once.
Brand is also pretty baller. @Skippydumptruck is the best brand.
In my opinion Janna is going to be the god queen of supports if dominion has any say on 'what supports can do with gold'
Not sure about that. Bear in mind two things; being able to run around the map quickly isn't quite as strong in SR as it is in Dominion, and they're reducing her base damage and ratios.
All of the feedback I've seen from the PBE suggests that Annie, Fiddles and Zyra are going to be absolutely dominating bot lane once the patch hits.
Jinx is Piltovian so you can go iEdge iEdge iEdge iEdge Whisper and get away with it.
I did this in dominion yesterday.
You would have been proud.
Roz your progress lately has been outstanding. We'll make a giant out of you yet.
It was a good game. I picked Jinx because dominion is a great way to learn raw ADC team fighting mechanics. But I realized I didn't know how to build her. So I thought for a moment and said to myself
"What would Talith do?"
Then it came to me! Stack iEdges all day, with one LW to make those armor stacking meanies less useful.
My team asked me wtf I was doing. I told them to look up Talith PA as he is my inspiration.
The buff to his Q slow makes him an unstoppable chaser again. His early tower dive potential is maximum.
9/21 with flat AD reds/quints. His clear times are insanely fast while maxing Q. Pretty sure he has one of the best jungle clear times next to Shyv. Ancient Golem->Tabi->(Locket/SV/Randuins/Hydra/Thornmail/Sunfire) to preference.

Ah, that'll be a refreshing change of pace.
Turns out that champs that deal over twice as much damage and bring stronger CC are preferred to others. Who could have guessed?
I'm still baffled that they're planning on reducing support damage ratios quite so much. Sona with items wasn't problematic enough that she deserves to only have a 1.1AP ratio on her full combo.

I find it doubly strange because these supports still aren't popular in the current meta with their shit base damage and they're not going to be getting any AP past runes and masteries until after their sightstone and now-practically-mandatory GP10 item. So for that giant chunk of time they're just shittier versions of their S3 selves. In 30% of games (that I play) the game is already decided by that point.
Blame the "support mains" who scream on the forums about how they don't want to do damage they want fun shiny helper effects and also why isn't Sona's heal stronger Sona should have a stronger heal make Sona a healer I like WoW raids

I am not a huge fan of how s4 support role is looking, but at least I might be able to do stupid shit like rengar support and make it work. Zyra/Fiddle/Annie might be better choices though, but dunno how they will handle a level 2 allin from the bruiser with dash based lane. And riot are the ones utterly terrified of anyone being capable of playing more than one position if they are capable of playing support. Just look at how hard they nuked Lulu.
Replace supports with a coach slot. Games are now 3 solo lanes + jungle + coach in control of a ward placing non-combat recon yordle than can also transport biscuits to lanes in need.
The counterplay is that the yordle is a greedy little shit and will sell his delicious biscuits to the enemy team on the cheap if they get to him first.
This is so good, I am nearly in tears. So many beautiful bears. Sadly I own them all already, but maybe, just maybe, there's a chance we get Santa Bear this year.

I'm 90% certain their math is super bad. When I said, for years (IIRC) now that supports need to scale with AP meaningfully, I didn't mean they should now need 100 AP to equal their pre-scaling utility.
I'm guessing a massive buff to some traditional supports and/or nerf to non-traditional before the season itself starts. Soraka, for example, got nerf batted pretty badly, especially with a confused design like temporary armor on a heal that scales on % health missing, meaning that every situation is the least effective situation to use it in.
Also, they still need to do damage. Not to the same extent as mages, but their lack of 4 damage abilities, like Brand, for example (or to a lesser extent Annie, albeit her fire shield doesn't really matter), helps mitigate their burst and long term damage potential even at exactly equal AP ratios.
Riot is making a mistake in allowing too much power to be put on too few abilities. Starcall is trash tier and continues to get nerfed because Soraka's sustain is considered too good, and that's not how you balance a game well. It limits builds and versatility without solving the main issue.
0 CS supports have been riding the coattails of ADC's overpowered scaling, but that is changing even at 0 CS, let alone at higher gold values.

Yeah, Olaf getting his chase back is nice but unfortunately if your team is megaderplord and doesn't take any CC and/or your top lane also goes something squishy you're pretty fucked. I also found he'd get pretty low on mana with Q spam, which can leave him vulnerable on invades, but YMMV.
IMO I'd really want Mallet on him these days if you can swing it, I just don't know when you'd build it. Last time I got to play him I tried out Golem->Swiftness->Cutlass and then had to go tanky after that. The chase was pretty good but I definitely feel like I want the Mallet to get even more control back on. I'd even try to just do Pickaxe instead of Cutlass if I was doing that, then Giant's Belt+Chain+Negatron then finish things.
Nami was tons of fun when i tried her out when she was free. She might be my next IP purchase, but i want to try the Rat, Crocodile and Scarecrow too so i dunno.
wait if supports are not dumpsters they might kill people
ok lets make them dumpsters without ap and dumpsters with ap, that solves everything
god bless
I do hope some day you end up working for Riot. I would love to see the game you create. Everyone would be a blinkstriking death machine. It would be glorious.
I don't want to turn this into a comparison thread, but I do like how DOTA doesn't give a damn if supports can deal damage
Yeah, let's have an ult deal a potential 17k damage without items, that's cool
Supports should do good damage, I think the problem is that marksmen are so fragile at the early levels, that damage dealing supports just murder them.

Good? I don't think there's anything wrong at all with the idea of marksmen being weak early game and strong late, with supports having the opposite power curve.
Right now we've got a weird situation where some marksmen are very strong in lane and it makes even the strongest supports feel relatively weak at what should be their strongest point. When I think about lane bullies in bot lane at the moment, I think Lucian, Cait and Draven.

I'm not saying I invented it. Just that, with gold. my god, that is the scariest lane post six.
Ah, that'll be a refreshing change of pace.
Not convinced it'll be incredible. Only that it'll be funny.
ROZ THIS IS LIBEL
Q or E max?
Depends on the lane and how much the E damage will stick to them. Most of the time probably just max Q for the all in potential.
Heck it'll just delete a sona no questions asked.

I've never seen anyone claim libel for a compliment.

Though, as I've mentioned Soraka could use a whole kit re-work in general so that doesn't matter much.
that next season, junglers are the best. and laners are about to get pooped on.
Panda Annie, Panda Teemo, Runeguard Volibear and Bear Cavalry Sejuani
why you gotta do this to me bro
ooooOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooo

Nami/Sona New Gods of botlane.
All the harass
All the gold.
Also powerfarming the jungle is SO MUCH FUCKING GOLD GUYS, LIKE, HOLY SHIT.
Having Wriggles+Hydra while still in laning phase is RIDICULOUS.
