Like, literally stolen panel for panel and whole stretches of dialogue.

    Seriously. What is the point?

Though screen tests and focus groups are the worst.

I don't know nothing about the leaked whatever but the trailer looked dumb as hell. it looked like a movie trailer that might be in the background of a sitcom

Basically the first two acts are exactly what you'd think a Noah film would be about, and then something happens (I forget what exactly), Noah goes on a rampage and tries to kill everyone on the ship. Plus there's 6-armed angels.

ed: The 6-armed angels are just the normal angels. And Noah's "the first environmentalist". He basically cares about helping the world and nature, and with the humans on the ship he realizes they're evil, and tries to kill them all for the good of the planet.

Unless Noah gets blind drunk and Ham sees his dick, thus cursing Ham and his offspring forever, I don't give a fuck.

    Fuck off and die.

This Noah film is going to be so good. Like, even if it's bad, it's still going to be enjoyable watching other people watch it.

The trailer is dumb because it looks like just an ordinary film about Noah. Which makes the ridiculous third act just even more great.

The reactions from the ultra-conservatives who were able to see it at its screening months ago was great. They all hated it and wanted it changed. And it hasn't, and it's coming to theaters.

Even if the movie sucks, the ridiculous third act and the reactions will be worth it.

Ham didn't get cursed because he saw his dad's dick

he got cursed because his reaction upon seeing his dad's dick was to run to his brothers and say "Let's go humiliate our drunk naked passed out Dad!"

There's also a theory that 'saw his nakeness' was a euphemism for... something. As in, we have no clue. But it's probably super gross.

So this is a short documentary releasing online later this month

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eX81NlqWSxU

About Rhythm and Hues, which you might remember was the VFX production company that worked on Life of Pi, which happened to win all those Oscars for its effects work shortly after the company was bankrupted

I'll definitely give it a watch

I have a feeling Noah is going to be great and then people will come out of the woodwork with reactions like "Wait, this movie is actually good?" and it's gonna be like yeah no shit, Aronofsky makes solid-ass films

See, I disagree with that because the text explicitly states that his brothers took extra care to not see the dick. There's something about that dick, man.

    Yeah I'm fairly confident too

It LOOKS awful, and it very well could be, but it's a big budget Darren Aronofsky movie

Of course the trailer is going to look dire, the studio doesn't know how to sell a big budget movie that's also a slow moving drama

Add in the religious element and the studio not wanting to offend anyone and I'm amazed they didn't use even schmaltzier music

If it's bad, it'll at least be a very interesting failure, rather than just boring as sin
