Man, online implies multiplayer, I'd be completely down to kill dragons with y'all.
Better start practicing.
'Tis even larger up close. It hates ice and fire both! They hold the advantage! These stairs serve as a useful route in their own right.

It's one thing to have multiplayer, it's another to have no singleplayer and lag in regular play. Which is what adding "online" to a title usually implies.
So colour me not particularly enthused, since I live in australia with our lol internet.
I really hope I'm wrong and it's just a silly name and there's still singleplayer.

Just started playing this, was a fighter until lvl 10 ish and then moved to warrior and havent looked back
I am a huge GS user in MonHun so this is literally perfect for me. I keep reading that I'll have issues with magic defence (as I have none) but Im playing on normal.
About to start the king wyrm ring quest and just hit lvl 47. I've been farming the drake near the shadow tower pretty frequently and it just dragonforged my dlc armor (looks like Juliens armor before he went evil?). Got a 2 star gryphic victory (woo ty escort quest) and no weapon has come close to matching its dps.
Haven't encountered anything that I couldn't arc/jump light to death, and that is so satisfying. Is there gonna be a time where warriors literally cannot finish a monster? Also, if I plan to finish everything possible in NG as warrior, should i switch to magic knight or sorc to get some more magic def?

Two words: Metal Golem. While technically your pawns should attack the medals flying in the air, the otherwise decent AI wigging out means odds are your only choice in fighting them is either with a vocation that uses regular bows (magic does no damage) or using the golem as a stepladder, which takes forever.
You will find some enemies frustrating but none are impossible. Just make sure to get a pawn with decent ranged attacks and be prepared to wait for them to use them as they are quite slow about it. As far as defense is concerned your armor and skills are the primary source of damage reduction across the board. Especially with the Dark Arisen version of the game class stat differences do not matter as much because the stats on everything are so huge.

There are a bunch of really useful passives you'll want to spend some time as other classes to get, but you'll be fine in the main game without worrying about internet-class min-maxing.
And warrior is a lot of fun. It's not very efficient sometimes, but the freeze frame explosion when you hit something with Arc of Deliverance is so satisfying
Dengeki PlayStation this week features a questionnaire with 107 game developers, including the director of Dragon’s Dogma, producer of its Dark Arisen expansion, and the producer of the Sengoku Basara series.
MY body is ready, Arisen. I would drop money down on an Xbox One for Dragon's Dogma if it's exclusive to that.
I don't care if it' son PS4 or Xbox one. Whichever it is, if it's exclusive, I'll go buy the console for it if I don't have it already, assuming the game is as good, or better, than the first.
I've been playing the new Dragons Age, and the world and setting frequently has me wanting a new DD game so I could jump on some giant things and beat them up.
A while ago I discovered that sometimes I can read threads on the Something Awful forums (I guess a cookie expires or something) and take that chance to check the DD thread there.
Just saw this:
The mystic knight "Sopor" skill is amazing
With the ring version it practically "sleeps" all necrophagous beasts instantly, they can't get up ever, and then they take triple damage or something because I just saw my pawn kill one in TWO hits with a basic lightning spell.
It probably doesn't work on undead but might be worth a shot.

Been working my way through everfall, then started farming the offline urdragon
once it dropped a holy based wep I can kill it in 1 round, and have been using it to fast lvl. about to hit lvl 95
I can see how warriors are screwed for ur dragon, those wings heart points are literally impossible to hit other than on a knockdown
I guess bitterblack isle will be pretty easy going at lvl 95?
Just hit lvl 100, farmed all three of the offline holy weapons from offline ur dragon
I guess endgame becomes black isle exploration + check ur dragon/round every couple hours
the consoles are both just about as active as eachother, 360 is on Ur-Dragon Generation 624, PS3 is on generation 615 currently which is a decent way to gauge active players.
That's actually pretty interesting as the PS3 used to be magnitudes farther on generations.

yeah it's pretty surprising, really. the 360 community really has a huge following when traditionally ps3 was bigger for RPGs, especially japanese developed ones (even though this one is more "western")

I hope this doesn't require online because what I really liked about this game is how responsive it is.

Edit: I still say most important level-stats are Health and Stamina.

Let's hope there is something else during the weekend. There is event called Jump Festa where Capcom could announce new games.

While Bitterblack can be accessed before beating the rest of the game, it's functionally the postgame bonus-dungeon.
