So... it seems the jungle tileset event they've teased in the last livestream is coming soon. Not sure if "next several days" means this weekend or the one after the holidays, but that's pretty awesome.



I wonder if that means 11.5 is just around the corner? I can't wait for that new paladin warframe!

I have 383 platinum due to being weak and buying $15 worth on the PSN. I'm leaning towards buying an anti-infestation warframe, but I'm not sure which will be the best bang for my buck. I think that one of Nova, Ember, or Saryn would do the trick. Any suggestions?

Nova is the most expensive but probably the most powerful. She scales for high level content much better than the other two. Ember is fun but she doesn't take very long to build yourself. I haven't played Saryn.

I have a Nova in the oven right now, can't wait to try her out!

Nova bought. Between her and the Rhino that's cooking, I'll be al set for a while. My Volt has served me well up to this point (almost rank 30). He was the perfect lowbie/midbie frame for me.

Tomorrow, I'll grind the rubedo needed for the Gallentine.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO DO

- Visit and Select the unique Mission located on Earth!
- Be sure to equip your Codex Scanner! Scan plants on Earth to collect necessary samples and data of mysterious plants!
- Collecting the correct number of plant scans will unlock the permanent use of a Foundry Blueprint that can be used to create one of a variety of anti-toxins.
- Equip and carry one of the anti-toxins into a mission and load it into the Cicero Toxin injectors that you must find in the mission.
- Work solo or with a team. Each player can take a different anti-toxin into the mission to create a combination of anti-toxins. Combining anti-toxins will make them last longer and increase your score.
- These Forest missions will have dynamic Day and Night settings! Every six hours, Day will change to Night, and Night to Day as the cycle goes on! New plants will appear throughout the Day and Night, so be sure to explore at different times!

EVENT START AND END TIME
The Cicero Crisis is on now and will end on Monday, January 6 at 12 PM EST.

SCORING

Upon completing each mission, all Tenno in your Squad will receive the same point score. This score is determined by the rarity of anti-toxins used in the mission:
Common anti-toxin = 10 points
Uncommon anti-toxin = 15 points
Rare anti-toxin = 25 points

To achieve a 100 point score, all four Tenno in your Squad must bring a Rare anti-toxin worth 25 points each, and successfully defend the Cicero Toxin injector.

Solo and Squad Scoring – Aim for your personal best! Your best mission score will be saved (max 100).
Clan Scoring - Clan scores will accumulate to determine Clan winners at the end of the event.

REWARDS

- Score 10 points and you will receive an Event Badge.
- Score 50 points and you will receive a set of 4x Dual Stat Mods (Status chance + Toxic Damage).
- Score 100 points and you will earn a set of Twin Wraith Vipers!
- A Gold, Silver and Bronze Clan Statue will be distributed to the top three Clans in each Clan Tier.

Okay, I can't be the only one wondering, and maybe there isn't a good answer, but on the PC:

How the hell can you quickly and easily equip the scanner? Yes, I know I can hold Q and slide the mouse over and click it, but that's VERY clunky. Is there any sort of other key I need to be looking for, or is that the only way?

You're looking for the "Gear Hotkey" buttons in the keybind menu. Bind whichever item slot you have the scanner equipped to a key (I use Tab) and you can swap between the scanner and your last used weapon easily.

for the event, you only need to craft the Lapis to get max rewards, as long as you run with 3 other people who also have a Lapis. I'd suggest saving them and running with people from here.

Any way to make the scanner's FOV less hateful? I got it to bug out once, where it didn't zoom if I used the LMB, but I couldn't replicate it again

I don't think so, but at least a patch ago you didn't need to aim it to scan... Just didn't get the fancy visual effect then.

So those patch notes look pretty delicious. The event seems manageable as well..I'll definitely play tonight, if anyone wants to join :-)

I guess we have a new project for clan research too: the Infested whip is out! Looks pretty boss!

Does anyone know if they added prime stuff to derelicts before this patch? Interesting move.

Saryn is a bit of a mixed bag. One one hand. Venom = viral damage. Whoop-te-do.
On the other hand. Boosted Molt and Miasma gets Corrosive and MORE DAMAGE.

Also, looks like Paladin will be on Earth (because Trinity moved to Phobos)?

This new tileset is extremely pretty! I'm loving what I see. Karak and Magistar are already building, and I only need to wait for some battle pay to build the GOO GUN, the Stug. Wheee! I hope it's like good ol' UT's goo gun.

And I know I'm a patch late, but if it hasn't been mentioned yet: the Penta grenade launcher is the most fun I've had with a primary weapon in a long, long time. Even unmodded, it's a beast! Just make sure not to blow yourself up

The event has you run a jungle mission, and scan some of the flora. It can be a little easy to miss sometimes, so pop out the scanner now and again to look around. Other than that, these missions function like exterminates, or I guess defenses when you've got antitoxins equipped. You should all get in on this event if you have a chance, as it's unclear if the jungle tileset will be available directly after it finishes, or if we'll have to wait for a future update for that...

Stug (goo gun) is crazy powerful. Base corrosive damage and can be fired extremely quickly if you tap fire instead of charge, resulting in tons of smaller explosions that still do more damage.

It sticks to enemies, and can also stick to your allies which is fun if they're always running into the middle of things.

I'll need a clan invite (fiendishrabbit, PC side) because it looks like this event needs some cooperation if you want the maximum score. Given how hard it is to find jadeleaf you don't want to waste a top-of-the-line antivenom just to find out that one of the other guys brough along his own homecooked version, made from moonshine and something he found in a grineer dumpster.

So, did they put in the new version of Vay Hek yet? Or is it still the old one? The first "Intercepted Message" above has his new face, but I haven't seen anything in the patch notes about a boss change...
Damn, can't wait to get home. I'm gonna farm the hell out of that.

Sure thing! We were filled up to the current clan limit (100 members) and expanding that would have meant every research project and other construction project in the dojo would get much more expensive, so we had to prune inactive members before we could let new folks in again.

But that's done now, so I'll get you both sorted out when I get home in a few hours. What are your ingame usernames?

And is there anyone else who needs an invite to the PC clan?

Edit: And it looks like to get the Twin Wraith Vipers, you have to get a score of 100 in a single run, meaning you need 4 people each with the rarest anti-toxin equipped, and they need to succeed in the defense mission for it to count. Tricky!
But worry not, this event doesn't end until January 6th... so there's plenty of time to take a walk in the mighty jungle.

Does this game really open up at some point? Are there things I should be focusing on this early or just going about unlocking the planets?

Oberon's kind of disappointing, just from looking at his abilities you can tell he'll probably be another useless frame at high levels. His ult heals what, 200 damage if he catches a big group? Doesn't seem like he'll be able to help other people survive.
