It's weird and might be just me, but the Pinmash makes the most sense in a list form, from highest to lowest, based on how the data is shown/collected.
I may remove it from the Pins gallery (looks a bit cluttered) but leave it in the dialog when you click on a pin, then I also have more space to add the rank next to the rating.
I vote for showing just the ranking number - the rating is all relative to each other pin's rating and by itself doesn't do much aside from 'whoa look at that big number!'

Agreed. I think just ranking the pins in order from 1 through whatever makes the most sense.

It just shows the rank on the pin trading dialog, it also freed me up to better link to the site and explain what it is. I didn't include "out of X", I think the difference in rank between two pins is more important than the actual number of the rank.
I think there may also be a slow memory leak in the javascript on the trades page. I often leave pinnypals open in a browser tab for an entire day (~10 hours), and several times now I've seen the memory usage for the chrome process behind that tab up over 1GB. It's not a big deal -- I can always close the tab and reload the site -- just thought I'd point it out and see if anyone else has experienced it.

It's not a bad pin, it was just the fastest and easiest to get by a game that no one really seemed invested in like they are so many others.
No, it's super ugly. I only got one because I just didn't want more.
Now Moonrise on the other hand, the game was not very good but the artwork for that game is just phenomenal, and the pin was no exception... the 3D modeling sadly doesn't do 2D art any justice, but it's an iOS game so it definitely could be worse.

I personally like to PM people, you might be able to make a better deal before you lock one in with a straight up trade
I don't mind a trade getting turned down. I just want to avoid aggravating people. I'll probably lean to the PM solution. That will have the added effect of pinging them here, so they might actively check the pinny site.
Also, just noticed that the gif for @fishfishmonkeyhat now includes the AoE face. That's hilarious.
That's part of the rub. A lot of the people who have the pins that are in high demand don't really "need" anything. Some people hoard the high demand ones in the hope that they could trade it for a pin that they miss, or a pin that has massive rarity/value(cough). There are numerous people however, who have all these great pins that don't have any "needs", but are open to trades because they want to see the community grow and make people happy. You can send them a trade and/or send them a PM to open up a dialogue to find out where they stand or if there's something else to be worked out.

No you won't get email notifications when you get messages. If you go to your trades section it will say new message if there is a message that you haven't checked.
