The World Will End by 2025 and [Giant Bomb] Will Film It
Because it is coming. Mutants. Robots. Mutant Robots. In some fashion, humanity's hubris will consume itself and birth a new world of torment and destruction. And Giant Bomb will probably still be streaming the new mutant robot video games and talking about robot mutant llamas.
Giant Bomb is a site about video games and video game news and also the impending Apocalypse.
I dunno maybe I have the soul of a level designer rather than a game designer. Vastly different level design philosophies count for a lot to me.
It's why I'd sooner say Metroid Prime is in the same genre as Super Metroid than Metroid Fusion.
I get this!
But for me, new systems or abilities (powerups, tools I haven't seen before in Zelda) or different characters and settings go way further toward making me feel like something is different.
Innovative level design is great, but it's absolutely not enough to make me feel like a series is still fresh
I breathed a sigh of relief that the tyranny of the giant bomb thread would finally end, then recoiled as I realized the nightmare will never end. The year of luigi is nothing compared to the millennium of persona.
I played through Divekick's story mode once as Dive, it's pretty fun, buuuut as soon as I thought the announcer sounds a bit racist stereotype-y, the loading screen said something like "humans aren't born with the ability to get offended. If you get offended, it is your own choice". So that sucked

one thing that might help when you get to the bottom is to not automatically freak out about poison (depending on your health). It's going to happen, it can be easier to just deal with it rather than constantly curing it.
Also: you can get a Spider Shield that can really help with poison resistance.

pretty sure that's an After Earth joke
Even so, they could have replaced "offended" with "kicked" or something else and it wouldn't come off as shitty I think

Sales are in from Japan last week
FFXIII: Lightning Returns moved 277k units. Compared to XIII-2's 550k. Compared to XIII's 1.5m.
3D World only moved 107k units. The lowest launch of any 3D Mario title in that region.
Yeah I was surprised to go digging and find that even the PS2 didn't have that many titles break 1m+ sales, and its bestselling title (DQ8) was almost doubled by the DS's (NSMB).
ashes cricket looks like fucking garbage, but it does make me wish I had joined one of the pick-up cricket games that used to happen in the lot across from my house

Then I scrolled down and sighed very, very deeply for about 2 minutes

it's true that thread is tainted and should be shunned entirely.

Langly couldn't resist the siren song of Blighttown talk

Bought NBA 2K just so I had something for local multiplayer and also to bring people around to gawk and go LOOK HOW GOOD THIS LOOKS
I would amend this to
No one in Japan gives a shit about consoles
And poor Mario, I guess.
It is entirely made up of the first level and took me 3 minutes from launching it to the "Thanks For Playing!" screen and trailer
Yeah that's actually the trend I've been hearing of. The only relevant videogame systems left in Japan are the 3DS and mobile.
It was just going to be a straight port of the PS3/PC version
They decided to push it back and actually put some new content in it
No word on if that just means a couple new stages or maybe some new characters
