Help with recording E-Drums into Garageband for iPad 2

Hi Penny Arcade musicians (hopefully iPad users!) I have my Yamaha DTX430K electronic drums plugged in through a USB cable into the camera connection kit into the iPad 2 (phew) and am using Garageband.
I'm having an issue with most of the kits; they aren't registering the 2nd rack tom and the floor tom, which are a part of every included Garageband kit. They register when I use my finger, even when the drums are plugged in, but the e-drum pads aren't registering.
Oddly, one of the hip-hop kits DOES register the 2nd rack tom and floor tom, but none of the rock kits.
Anyone ever have this problem or any idea on how to solve? Thanks!
