iPad (or computer) sheet music apps for piano playing?

wonderpugwonderpug Registered User regular
I grew up playing the piano, but for the past decade or so I've been without one. I finally have one in my home again, and I imagine the technology side of piano playing has changed a wee bit in the last ten years.

I'm investigating iPad options first since the iPad seems like such a perfect fit (literally) for piano playing since it can be propped up right where you'd put paper sheet music or books, but if there's an amazing computer program I could install on a laptop, I'm open to possibilities.

Early searching on the web seems to point toward forScore as the undisputed king, but I saw some mention of an app called Tonara that somehow listens to you playing and flips pages for you. If it works, that sounds like a pretty nifty feature.

Your searching is pretty much on point. My brother is a professional musician and he and his colleagues all use ForScore.
