I'm not a huge pokemon fan, but I've never failed to have a good time at the pokecrawl. The theme is jsut window dressing, the lunatics (myself included) you're bar hopping with are the draw
Cool I mean I dont hate it just have not played anything to do with it in a very long time.
If you at least understand it/have played one game you'll be fine. I think the only major Pokemon related things are the people in costumes, the challenges (are all themed after Pokemon), plus maybe some other stuff.

You have to know absolutely nothing about Pokemon for the Pokecrawl. You don't even have to have a passing familiarity to have a good time.
Nice ... but to be a member has a cost ... Gold $80, Silver $40 ... and if you have family members well, you do the math ... this is just a way for Disney to add to its already obscene wealth ... I fleeting considered this then decided that being a D23 member hold zero value for me ... but you can decide for yourselves.
PAX East 2016 .... gots my Passes [x] Hotel [x] Flights [x] Packed [..] .... ok we're all good !!!!!

what is the dif between the thread podcast pubcrawl and the pokecrawl
The Thread bar crawl isn't just for fans of their podcast, it is for anyone looking for something a little less crazy than the Pokecrawl. Both are fun. They are also in different areas of Boston. Pokecrawl is in Faneuil Hall area while Thread is at Seaport (near the convention center) this year.

After shipping and tax it's actually $50 for a year of D23 Silver membership. Damn, that's a steep entrance fee... but like a sucker I paid for it anyways. lol
Yah if I were to consider this I would need to buy 2 as my daughter will be with me ... and for what is essentially a $100 cover charge for a bit of swag it is just not worth it to me

Didn't notice the guest piece hmmmmm now you have me thinking
PostScript: checked out the cost and it is close to $70 for a silver (shipping incl.) with a 3-4 week guesstimate ship time (their guesstimate not mine) . Since you cannot reserve without a member number and a temporary is not issued when you buy you cannot hold a place for the party until you have it. Lots to consider, not sure if I can pull the trigger on this.

i've been slacking on my slack. I feel great shame and fear I may be turning pink.
Anywho just found out the crew doing that post-pax show is also doing a post-post pax show if anyone is around on the 14th. Frontalot, Megaran and The World is Square @ Great Scott. http://www.leaguepodcast.com/
Still not a party per say but whatever.
Thanks so much for taking this over this year! I have a little baby girl, born December 10, to keep me VERY occupied, so I never would have been able to devote the time I should to this thread. Not even sure if I'll make it to PAX for more than a day! Oof!
Awesome Christmas gift ... Congrats
Just checked back here after a while. Thanks so much! Best. Present. EVER.
We're looking for mostly-sober volunteers, as well, so if you're not looking to do all the challenges and think that you might enjoy herding drunk pokemon trainers and signing off that people drank stuff, message me or @arsonisfun, or anyone you know is a professor directly.

Madcatz has been all about the swag in previous years. Scene is pretty good, too....but the swag is the reason for the season.
Swag at mad catz is definitely the reason. Most of Mad Catz is standing around being watching pro gamers play games and wishing the drinks were affordable. But 10 for a beer isn't bad when you walk out with 200 in swag.

Age restricted at all? Noted that you could not order more than a single ticket, is that correct?
WOOT, thanks for reminder got tickets for My wife and I to attend...
Yes you can only order one ticket at a time because it is a list, not a physical ticket, so each persons name must be done separate from what I saw.
Registration will be on Eventbrite here, and will go live on the 21st.

Wow a 21plus event for Disney in the mid afternoon. Would have expected Disney to be family friendly.
