iMac refuses to connect to 5 GHz Wi-Fi

For about the last week or so my iMac (mid-2010 11,3) has been unable to connect to my 5Ghz N Wireless network. I have a dual band router that also has a NG mixed network which is working. When I attempt to connect to the N/5Ghz network the connection asks me for the key, but after trying to connect it simply times out. All my other devices are connected to the N network, so I know it is not an issue with the router or the Network. I have set up the router from scratch after resetting to factory defaults, just to be safe. I have reset the SMC and PRAM. I reinstalled OS X. For testing I booted into boot camp and the recovery partition, and they have the same issue. I called apple and the reiterated the steps above, but ultimately asked that I take it into the store. I am hoping that someone may have had this issue to save me from having to tear down my desk.

Remove and re-add your Wifi network connection in the network control panel(write down the settings first)

Nuke all wifi passwords from the 802.11x tab in keychain access.

Reconnect and see if it works

Skip that. It won't matter if Recovery and Windows have the same issue. What WiFi security are you using? If it's WEP (I doubt it but...) change it to WPA/WPA2. Restart your router if you haven't already. I'd try another 5GHz network, too, if possible.
