Without any rancor, I will point out that it's much easier to win when you shoot twice as many free throws as the other team. Duke took 20 shots on 15 fouls, while Wisconsin took 10 shots on 13 fouls.
Which, I have to say only having watched the second half - did Wisconsin's defense really change so much in the second half that they more than doubled the amount of fouls called on them from the first? That's ridiculous.
And Wichita State knocks off their in-state rival in the most-viewed game of the entire first weekend, and our reward in the One Shining Moment video is:
...Evan Wessel lifting weights.
I'm *still* not watching your stupid procedurals, CBS.
@Schide you appear to have joined the old group! The link for the new one is last page. I didn't even know the old one would still exist but I just found it.
I should also thank @SirToasty for reminding me that screwed up and joined the old league at first.
In news that shocks no one, evidently the refs don't have access to the same billion camera angles as the CBS analysts, so there's a really good chance they never saw the angle where Winslow's finger is on the ball.

Which is insane.
Don't be ridiculous. Are you saying this may have been a case of simple incompetence (on behalf of the system, in this case) instead of this whole tournament being rigged so Duke could win!?
Based on the internet right now, that would shock everyone.

It's preposterous that the refs don't have access to every camera angle.
I'm still so depressed we didn't get what would have been an epic championship game.
Undefeated Kentucky going for history against one of their greatest rivals.
It would have been historic no matter who won.
Stupid Wisconsin ruined it!
I really wanted it to happen. Mainly because Duke played incredible defense all tournament and definitely could have beaten Kentucky. They entered the tourney ranked 60th in defensive efficiency per Ken Pomeroy and finished the tournament ranked 12th. The expectations for that game would have been astronomical and it probably would have delivered.
I feel like I'm taking crazy pills when it comes to Texas right now. How do those fans not realize they are Cobra Kai in this situation? Trying to trademark Havoc when we developed and continue to use it, is your athletics department intentionally imitating the Yankees in Mobeyball.
It feels weird to be rooting for a top 5 team again. It's been awhile.

UW hangs their Final Four banner tonight before playing Western Illinois. I went to the exhibition last week and this is going to be a long year for them. Not a lot of size or shooting in the lineup, so I imagine they'll go back to the grind-it-out swing offense they got away from the last 2 years. Ethan Happ looks to be this year's revelation; he can't shoot at all but he seems to have nice touch near the basket and is a good rebounder.
Badgers' opening-week schedule is really strange: they play 3 home games in 5 nights, take two days off, and then play Georgetown in NYC next Friday.

Duke got more aggressive and it paid off.

PREPOSTEROUS!
You try affording a replay center on only $900M a year.
I think they could manage.
Yes, but at what cost?
At what cost?
Usually, yes, but it took them a couple of minutes to find that angle last night.
I don't know. Integrity usually isn't cheap.

Just for example, some past coaches: Shaka Smart(sigh), Mike Morrell, Sonny Smith, Mack McCarthy.
Looks like a real Deadpool of former coaches.

How many times a day should I send hate mail to our AD for hiring a Dukie?
Two. Morning and afternoon, skip weekends. Anything more is just tacky.
Your worst fears are realized.
Welcome back, all.
I knew bits and pieces of that story, but damn.
The last ride of the fightin' VanVleets and (Maybe not anymore?) Bo Ryan
A new look Big Ten with Maryland as top dog. MSU, Purdue, U of M, Wisconsin, etc all look to challenge
ACC Throwdown 3.0 with Virgina, Dukies, UNC, and maybe ND sticks around
The Non-Hoiberg Cyclones and Buddy in OU trying to bring down KU
Zags looking like they won't need a year to regroup before hoping back into the 1-2 seed convo
Wild wild west in the Pac12
Non-Power 5 conferences continuing to rise in importance every year
Gotta love college basketball. Go Green!
Even though there is no chance Kentucky is as good as they were last year.
And Duke looks like they might be dominant... Nobody is happy when Duke wins.

Which team? I dunno why but I have to know and I'm too lazy to go back into the thread to remember.
