    Yeah it was... something. We misinterpreted something as aggressive and the captain had the space ship rain down like, lasers while we tried to run, only the rolls all were weird and it ended up basically annihilating an entire tribe. Who we later learned were trying to give us a feast.

    That whole game was basically repeated misunderstandings resulting in us being the Worst People in the World.

    I almost killed one of Elldren's characters by just having my guy stand still.

    How.. how'd you manage that?

    She flew a helicopter into him and he was really good at being immovable.

    we get closer, and they start firing arrows at us

    I'm a far better shot than them and drop a couple of them right away

    then I look to my right and AAH HOLY SHIT ICE TROLL

    I run

    it stops chasing me and goes down to the camp slaughtering everyone

    then I drop it from range and go down there to loot the band- oh, shit, they were just hunters. They were never firing at me.

    Skyrim has some pretty fuck random NPC interactions, but Far Cry 3 is so much better at it.
    Mostly because the animals there are way more buff than reality and the animations are better (Which makes a bigger difference when you are watching AI vs AI). Also in FC3 you can start a fire to add to the chaos.

    fun facts I learned today: mouflon hunting is legal in norway all year round, but there are no mouflons in norway. It is just in case any get here.

    Boar hunting is also legal year round because it too is an invasive species, but, you are only allowed to shoot a mother with baby boars if you shoot the baby boars first.

    My Pathfinder group encountered a hag coven late in the session last time. The DM hadn't really planned on the encounter, so he quickly pulled up stats from the pathfinder wiki.
    Turns out that instead of the regular 'Blood Hag' he pulled out the bullshit fanmade end boss version. So many curses. Such insane defenses.
    We lost a sidekick, my pet died in one round, the psion burned all his powerpoints without getting passed the spellresistance.

    Saving/not saving the council means jack shit in the long run. Whereas Wrex not dying is super duper important.

    Saving/not saving the council means jack shit in the long run. Whereas Wrex not dying is super duper important.
    Oh yeah, I know. I just thought that the council thing was a particularly silly choice, especially one to tie renegade/paragon stuff to. Like, it is one of those things where you go "sucks but it is literally risking the entire galaxy to help so let's not do that." The alternative is really like... suicidal, for everyone ever. Whereas the Wrex thing is terrible but I could see how Shephard would end up with that.
