Oberon's an optional character; the alternative is just a regular Minion, who is stronger than Broberon, so I don't think that error had too much of an impact. We'll do Oberon properly next time.
I *do* kind of want to note that it seemed like posting was viewed as suspicious, which is a pace-and-fun killer to a forum game, so I might stick instructions or advice in the OP for everyone to be chatty.
@Kirindal nothing. I thought you were good, except your vote on 2.2
Voting on 3.1 makes sense if you're good, and on 3.2 if you're good and on the team, so I got nothing there.
1.1 and 2.1 also made sense to be good.
@Professor Phobos Yeah, Broberon is weaker than a regular, but FAR stronger than Oberon. Considering that Kirindal would need to look for his good guy buddies, rather than vote them happily along. EDIT: actually, I take that back. I think a Bro is stronger than a regular. True, other evils don't know who he is, but it barely slows them down for missions 1-3. Concealing the Bro until Mission 5 (as Phyphor pointed out) is exceptionally strong. The only one to peg him is Merlin, which might as well be suicide.
@Phyphor any bead on Rhan before that last vote? Curious.
And - only thing that saved Kirindal from my suspicion is his vote on 2.2 Damn.
I hadnt really sat down and gone over it fully, but excluding the last vote I did have a set of people I thought could be merlin: kirindal, rhan, megamek (no data at all) and mikey. I was almost certain that it would be someone in the group. However, of that group only rhan has a merlin-perfect voting record, the other 3 voted to approve me for mission 3
I actually wouldnt have been able to tell you without knowing who was mordred and who was morgana since that is very important because rhan actually approves davoids inclusion - because he doesnt know about him
@Phyphor Rhan voted yes on 2.1 with Phobos... Phobos being Morgana. So not quite perfect. Makes sense with Davoid - Mordred, but not that. Also - if he OK'ed Davoid on missions 1 and 2, he turned that back on 3.1 vote.
And yeah - picking the murder victim before roles are revealed is important for that very reason
Oh true, I must have not noticed that. And evil players get to tell each other their roles at the end of the game, nothing wrong with that, theres no gag order. I guess they dont flip their cards or anything, but I know who was evil (minus the bro) and they have no reason to lie
Post-game he did that because of broberon, probably didnt think through the double-fail scenario there
Also, I discounted the 3.1 vote, since he now had data implicating mordred and could vote against him normally. It had to be someone on the team after all and probably trusted you
It's Werewolf, but the game ends at the first execution. In real life a round takes about five or ten minutes. The character roles basically provide more information than you'd normally start with in Werewolf, meaning it's possible to suss out the werewolf...assuming they aren't lying, which they are.
Hmm, actually I might run a game of Blood Bound - we played it a bunch last PAX and it was a lot of fun. Similar hidden information game but played in (more of less) even factions and lots of role deduction going on
Also, ha ha, jesus, I actually thought Sok was Broberon, he was trusting me so much. I basically got outed, but I knew I was invisible to merlin (Who I thought was Kaneski) so I didn't want to tip my hand too early. I think I caused the most trouble in that mission with Rhan, Kaneski, Sok and I, ha ha ha. Good game!
Oh man, I wake up and the game's over? Well, it was fun!
Even if the filthy knaves won, and nobody heeded my warnings of the treachery of Zakharov. :P
I was actually trying to mask being Merlin by intentionally voting known Evil guys into one of the early teams, to break up the pattern, but yeah, it didn't matter in the end.
Well, I mean... I never even considered a single scenario where Kaneski was Percival and you were Merlin.
So, at least from the standpoint of someone without outside information it works... I think?

It took me a while to work it out, but I figured that Kaneski was Percival after he called me out so severely before Round 3. Not that I was playing perfectly at that point (far from it), but only then did I realize that I must have voted for the other Percival ping: Morgana might vote for Merlin, but Merlin won't be voting for Morgana. And I voted for Rhan twice in the first three votes. Oops.
I've decided I need to concentrate on an assignment due Monday this weekend, so if you want to take the viking hat, go for it Hedge. I'm definitely up for playing.

Are people interested in playing a second game? I can go ahead and make a new thread this afternoon if enough people are up for it.

Thats one of the main reasons I thought you were our long lost bro!

EDIT: You know what would be a fun role? Someone who doesn't know what team they are on, but everyone else does...
how did you ever ping as Percival? I ask purely out of curiosity as I am apparently bad at this.

Yeah, I had special knowledge re: Hedge, but even if I didn't, I would've gone the same way.
EDIT: yeah, which is why Broberon is BS.
Well they did anyway so I see your point...
Edit: Ah.
