The example above...

Sometimes, when I make a post, and I;m the one who created the thread... It would be nice to update the title, or at least be able to fix a typo. Why was this canned?

    I haven't actually made a new thread since we changed board software, but on other forums using this stuff you have to click thread tools and then edit the thread to change the title. Editing the first post just changed the title displayed on the first post.

    Edit: Or the double click thingy

    It's... uhm, not very intuitive. Double click on it from the forum view, like you're renaming a file in windows.

    You can change the title in a normal edit... You just have to Go Advanced.
