REALITY MINI PHALLA INFO DUMP

First and foremost, this is secretly a Joe Schmo Reality Show Phalla. (If you are unfamiliar with what that is, Google it. If you don’t want to Google it, then just know that everyone in the cast and crew know that the “reality show” is actually completely scripted and are in on it. The entire purpose of the game is to get the best reaction out of the Schmo which equals the best entertainment.) You are part of that Cast and Crew and have the same Primary Wincon as the rest of the entire other playerbase: TheRoadVirus can NOT LEARN that he is Joe Schmo AND He must be the last player alive at the end of the game. If he makes it through the game oblivious to the secret of the game, then everyone wins. If someone ruins the game by revealing it to the TheRoadVirus, everyone loses and whoever is responsible will face a wrath of eternal grudges.

So, think of your primary wincon as just not ruining the game. Please do not ruin the surprise for TheRoadVirus. We will be getting some great reactions and this should be pretty epic/fun if it runs well. Many of the roles revolve around TheRoadVirus and either interacting with him or causing the most insane drama in the game to cause him to be confused, annoyed, scared, happy, etc.

Aside from all that there is an actual game in this with additional wincons. You will receive those in your actual role PMs. If you want, think of your secondary wincons as your actual wincons. It is an actual faction game with a hidden mafia. The secondary wincon is indicative of the phalla aspect of the game: Eliminate the mafia and be a part of the faction with the most points.

Some things to consider:
- If you invite him to your proboards, you will probably need a fake proboard for him so it doesn’t contain any information that might lead to him finding out about his role.
- Death Narrations cannot list real roles since it will clue him in. Roles will be listed under the death narration differently, but the names should be easily correlated to the actual roles.
- Any attempts to remove TRV from the game will be stopped by the Host. You can try to vote him out, but the second place vote getter will win instead. If you attempt to vig him, it will fizzle.
- This is for fun. We aren't trying to humiliate TRV or make him look bad. But anything that will make him post some good reaction stuff in his interviews or cause him to freak out internally or in the thread is good stuff.

Here is the Role PM that TRV will receive:

You are the Camera-Hog. You are trying your hardest to make it into acting and decided that getting into a reality show is the best way of doing just that. But you’ve gotta make your mark. And the best way to do that is to be in front of the camera as much as possible. And of course make it to the end for maximum potential celebrity-ness. You know that you have to make the biggest splash in your personal interview each day. Once per day, send in a personal interview through PM to the Host. All your powers will be based on that interview. This interview will be posted along with the narrations. It doesn’t need to be long. After reviewing all the greats of Reality TV, you've come up with a Personal Interview To-Do List which is as follows:

Spotlight (Self-Guard) – If your personal interview contains:

- A review of what happened the previous day (from Day 2 on)
- A guess on what happened today
-Both have a majority of correct information

Then the producers will deem you valuable and edit out one demeaning attack on your character for that reel.
Crabs in a Bucket (Vig) – It’s important to bring others down so you can stay famous. If you name three or more other players in your Personal Interview, the Producers will choose a challenge that is bad for one of them and they will be eliminated that day.
Ugly Best Friend (Seer-Protection) – Gotta keep an ugly friend around to make yourself look better. If you name a player as the best player that day in your Personal Interview, you will flatter them so much that you will appear to be a part of their team for that reel.

Wincon: Be the last Player in the game.
Cover Roles are in the OP. Claiming any of the Production Companies is a viable enough cover role due to the already uneven distribution.

I hope you had fun. As designed, this game was supposed to be much more insane and nearly everything was supposed to be centered around getting reactions out of you (more on that in my notes). Your interviews were fantastic and thank you for all the work you put into the game. Getting all the factions together at the start was brilliant and claiming survival neutral left the entire playerbase wondering how to deal with you. So you actually beat us all at our own game by preventing anyone from having any ground to try and manipulate you with. Bravo!

The amount of work you put into your character was simply amazing. And you stuck to your character not only in the thread but in every single PM! I have no words. I'm glad you made it to the end because the thread would have been insanely dull without you and the game would have been an even bigger failure than I thought it was.

Literally the MVP of the mafia. You were responsible for 90% of their points and until the last day was the best Drama Artist in the game. The only reason the mafia was winning up until that last day was because you were racking up points as a Drama Artist and no one else in the game was attempting it at all. I hate Snooki, but your RP in this game made me laugh over and over again.

Good work rooting out the mafia and pushing. Never assume that any starting role in my games is necessarily village. Autumn started with 2 more people than Sky and one more person than Royal in order to make up for the mafia Top Actor in their ranks. Royal had a huge handicap with their Drama Artist starting as mafia. Sky was the best off with no mafia in their point roles, but had less people. In the end, I think it balanced out, but more on that in the notes as well.

Huge bummer you died early, you played it strong from the beginning and I think would have been a real asset to add more craziness to the thread, which it could have used. Much like Snooki, I HATE bros with popped collars, but it would have been hilarious to see you pull that off for more than one day.

Goals:

Get good Reactions out of the Schmo
I wanted to create a Joe Schmo game that revolved around one player not knowing they are the Schmo and get some good reactions out of the Schmo. I created two roles to expressly accomplish this: Drama Artist and Face

The Drama Artist role (3 per faction, regen in faction on death/conversion) was supposed to create insanity in the thread and got points by doing so. They were also supposed to find other Drama Artists and feed off of the drama created, intensifying it, which would get them more points. Finally, if they got the Schmo to participate in the drama with them, even more points could be had. Since more points were gained if a Drama Artist started drama with another Drama Artist, this should lead to factions trying to protect their Drama Artists and creating smoke screens by having their non-drama artists create drama so they can fool the other factions to reveal theirs.

The Face role (3 per faction, regen in faction on death/conversion) was supposed to manipulate the Schmo behind the scenes to trust them and get him to name them the best player of the day in his interview. I figure blackmail, seer threats, etc will be used and should create to situation where the Schmo has no idea what is going on. Faces get MANY points if they can accomplish this just one day.

Faction/Mafia Game Core
The faction game should be relatively insane so as to create actual craziness for the Schmo to react to. Each faction can convert one person a day, leading to maximum betrayals. Also, since mafia being in one faction is good for the other factions, maybe there can even be deals between factions and the mafia. Finally, I want a fairly even distribution of each faction for as long as possible in the game. Two kills will start in two different factions, with a seer in the other. The faction that loses a member to a vig will inherit that vig the next day. If a mafia gets hit by a vig, they get two kills. The seer will go to the faction that doesn't have a vig and has the least amount of members. That should create an even loss for each faction and also a controllable amount of kills to be sure the game can end with just one person alive: Schmo.

Result:
The Schmo part of the game severely disappointed me for the most part.Rarely did any of the Drama Artists try to score points and the Faces didn't do anything either. With final points being in the low 30s, if any of the Faces or more of the Drama Artists had attempted to score, any faction could have won. Since hardly any of the roles designed to create insanity actually did create insanity in or out of the thread, that has to be a design flaw. I think the one mistake was not more clearly defining what I meant by "Drama". I think if more of those roles had a more clearly defined idea of what they should do, the game might have lived up to my expectations. Also, I think people were a little too worried about TRV figuring it out. Which wasn't an inherently bad thing, since that was the whole point of the game. But more risks could have probably been taken in the name of entertainment and getting a rise out of TRV.

I think the faction part of the game worked great and I will probably re-purpose some of the ideas (passing vigs, conversions, conversion blockers, opaque public faction seering) for another game.

Thanks to all who played! I know this was very unconventional but I hope it was at least fun. The entire point of the game was to let people cut loose and have some fun in a game. RP, player narrations, etc were all made so people could be crazy and have fun in a phalla without worrying too much about normal phalla conventions. I may do this again. But it will definitely be a different scenario and it will be even harder for the Schmo to sniff out.

This is legitimately the most exhausting Phalla I've ever participated in. It's my very first faction game, and I was not prepared for being thrust into soft-network hell (or heaven?). Throw the TRV thing on top of that, and then my roleplaying on top of that, with a dash of being in control of various factions' various powers.. I'm incredibly proud of how I've handled everything (until the post-game when I discover I've been wrong about everything), but still completely baffled and mentally fatigued. It's been a hell of a lot of fun though.

Also the original, far more earnest interview I submitted tonight before switching to the more simple one (partially out of fear the game wouldn't end, even though realistically I knew it kinda had to):

I think it quite likely, then, that this be the end. The travails we have faced have been arduous, but I feel that it has only made us come through them stronger than before.

I extend my sincerest gratitude to Ebfan, despite that I had to abuse his trust almost the instant I had garnered it. Truly, without his assistance I would have been lost.

TRV himself, the man of the hour, turned out to be an admirable ally as well. In the end, he was the only one whom I felt able to trust, and his generosity and willingness to work in accord bolstered me in these most frenzied moments.

As for myself, facetious, I wish merely to say that it has been an Honour and a Privilege, and I only regret that this must, of necessity, be little more than an act. Would that I could don this persona in perpetuity.

Well the Best Friend thing was completely a bust anyways. Once TRV claimed neutral to everyone he didn't want to seer as a faction. I think someone could have force his hand on that, but maybe not.

I think if I could do it again, the Schmo would be a role less likely to want to hide in the shadows. I would make sure he had a role guaranteed to be in the forefront. Like a seer or vig to become network head.

Like I said earlier, it was more like everyone was a little "shocked at your tactics" and didn't know how to push you without potentially making you question the whole thing. Well the Best Friend thing was completely a bust anyways. Once TRV claimed neutral to everyone he didn't want to seer as a faction. I think someone could have force his hand on that, but maybe not.

I think if I could do it again, the Schmo would be a role less likely to want to hide in the shadows. I would make sure he had a role guaranteed to be in the forefront. Like a seer or vig to become network head.

And then I end up as the seer and create a multiply-layered network to insulate myself from the inevitable conversions!

Also the votes on you tonight were semi planned from the beginning. On the last day we bring the heat and scare you with everyone voting against you then at lalast minutes we all switch to someone else.
