    Bit of news on Rengar's rework:
    As promised, I'm here with some updates about where the Rengar rework is at and I would also like to get your feedback on the direction and changes.

    Overall we hope to accomplish these goals:
    -Remove resourceless ranged harass in lane
    -Add counterplay overall
    -Make ferocity skill choices more compelling
    -Improve Bonetooth Necklace in both satisfaction and uniqueness
    -Lengthen the time Rengar can fight
    -Many small improvements to make all abilities more satisfying and fun

    So with those goals in mind, here is our current changelist (numbers aren't final so I'll post those later):

    General
    -Buffs to base health regen and health per level
    -All ferocity effects will deal damage based on champ level instead of the level of the spell

    Passive
    -Ferocity stacks will reset to 0 if they are not used or gained for 10 seconds

    Q
    -Cooldown lowered at all ranks
    -Ferocity Q now gives the same attack speed buff as base Q
    -Ferocity Q now gives 3 ferocity after it is used
    -Ferocity Q damage scales on champ level instead of spell level

    W
    -3 Seconds after the initial roar, Rengar roars again for PBAOE damage and builds another Ferocity
    -Ferocity W scales on champion level instead of spell level

    E
    -E is now a skillshot
    -E range increased from 575 to 1000
    -Damage increased
    -Slow increased
    -Ferocity E deals damage based on champion level not spell level
    -Ferocity E root duration increased

    R
    -Stealth duration increased from 7s to 10s
    -Rengar no longer gains movement speed while stealthed
    -After exiting stealth, Rengar now gains a significant movement speed buff for 5 seconds
    -The Ferocity gain begins after Rengar exits stealth instead of when the stealth begins

    Bonetooth Necklace
    -Now is a trinket!
    -Costs 0 gold!
    -Has a new active that places a temporary ward
    -No longer gives AD or AD per level
    -3 Trophy Bonus: Movement speed out of combat and in brush
    -6 Trophy Bonus: Additional leap range
    -9 Trophy Bonus: Increased Thrill of the Hunt stealth duration
    -14 Trophy Bonus: Gain movement speed while stealthed in Thrill of the Hunt


    These changes are still WIP so this thread is all about getting your constructive feedback and having a dialogue to help us make Rengar a more fun champ for all players. I'll be coming back to the thread later today to discuss the feedback.

    I take support numbers with a grain of salt, because many support players aren't "support" players but "last person to call a role / last pick" players, so community perception of a champion's utility and ease-of-use would have an abnormally large influence on what champions are picked.

    Leona and Thresh are super strong atm, but I think the support metagame is slower than it should be because less people actively try to game it. Potential counterpicks to Leona and Thresh are going to go unused since "I don't really play support but I guess I'll take Leona / Thresh" sounds pretty common.

    See, on one hand I kind of feel people and their 'omg supports didn't need nerfed' statements.

    On the other I recall Sona out DPSing Vayne in ARAMs and such. Or Janna being able to take off half a persons health with a Q/W combo.

    I mean there is a reason that pre-change having a support on your team in ARAM was considered GG, because them having items was pretty much broken. They maybe went about it a bit hamhanded, but 600 damage Sona Qs will not be missed.

    Yeah, but using ARAM to balance SR is like arguing that because prisoners shouldn't have cell phones, no one else should either. The first may be true, but the more general case doesn't follow from it. Also, I think I speak for almost the entire LOL community in saying that even at the very height of her strength, the problem with Sona was her supporting / setting up teammates, not her personal damage, even at higher gold values.

    I am terrified of them buffing the non-tanky supports because right now on dominion Janna and Lulu may as well still be called Jannalf Stripler and Lulumort. I also get the feeling that Nami is secretly strong but no one bothers to play her. Karma doesn't count as a support because she exists to single-handedly shutdown melee bruiser heavy teams.

    I play like 4 champions and I'm plat. Focus on learning the champs you like, don't overexpand your champion pool, as it will hurt you more than help you (in my opinion).

    Then you should adjust your champion pool. I really don't like playing the fotm or OP champions, I feel like they may get banned, someone else will pick them, or they are going to get nerfed, and you will have to relearn your damage threshholds (If it's a champ you play a lot, this isn't really a big deal, but you'll still be weaker after the nerfs). I love playing champions that are uncommon, like Lucian before he became fotm. I remember picking him in solo queue and someone dodged because I picked Lucian. Like.. huh.. I got Lucian the next game and went something like 22/5/10 if I remember right. I stopped playing Lucian when he became pick-or-ban.

    Forcing myself to not play Lee Sin because "for the love of god they have to nerf him someday" is not paying off; but otherwise that's sound advice.

    I got to play a string of Lulu games the last couple days, and I do think she's pretty good. She's got the tools to handle all the power-duos, though it may or may not be on her to substantially outplay them.

    Lifesteal is nasty, though. Get ahead early or give up on poking.

    Karma's already my go-to support if I'm against a Leona/Thresh. That shield is amazing, and the poke you get from Q spam really does a good job softening up your lane opponents.

    Nami still sees some competitive play in LCS and OGN, so she's not trash-tier or anything, just more situational. I have a feeling Yasuo loves having her around.

    I don't ever want to face an annie sivir again I think if I do I'm legit just going to alt+f4

    leona is such a trash support against that combo, she'd initiate and then what? If I go in range to shoot either of them I immediately get killed by tibbers+sivir q combo, if not leona dies (and die did she ever!)

    What AD were you? In that situation, you probably want Leona to initiate on Annie and just try to ace her. At level 5, Leona will be fairly tanky so she can engage on annie and you can both put a good chunk of damage on annie. The amount of damage Leona will take in return should be relatively low and then at that point the lane is yours until they back. You could try it earlier at 3, if your Leona is on vent with you because of the coordination should allow you to put a bunch of damage on annie and still not get Leona blown up. If annie tries to come at you, Leona can just stay on her and you can keep autoing her and you should get a kill, then flash/barrier to get away 1 for 0, lane is off to the races in your favor.

    Its very important you get an auto off on Annie to proc the sunlight passive from Leona's E before her W goes off, so you get double sunlight. At level 3 (assuming you hit it first) its a HUGE chunk of damage to whoever Leona is on.

    Your primary goal as a laner is to win your lane.

    Similarly, you're primary goal as a jungler is to win the jungle. You can accomplish that through a number of different means: Ganking, Farming, Counter-Ganking, Objective Control, etc.

    Junglers tend to have different styles and approaches to accomplish this, but ultimately winning the jungle should be your foremost goal.

    If a laner lost the lane, that's on them. They can hem and haw, but that's not really your fault. If you lost the jungle though, that's on you and you should examine things you could have done differently to prevent that.
    Late response, but this isn't true at all. If you lost due to multiple man invades on your buffs, that's probably because team never followed or responded properly. Literally nothing you can do if your lane doesn't come and the enemy mid and support joins in on timed invades on your buffs. There may be mitigating circumstances, like your mid is so far behind that they can't go first because the enemy mid would just kill them, but it's probably still their fault anyway for doing something dumb like picking Lux into Talon.

    There is more to jungling than just securing your own buffs. I think you want to read the next post where I discuss that there are other things that can qualify as losing the jungle. If for example, you secure every single one of your buffs the entire game, but you fail every gank while your opponent's succeed and he out CSes you while doing it? You lost the jungle. You didn't lose your buffs, but you didn't control the other jungler and didn't make the plays you needed to in order to put your team in the best position to win the game.
    You can't read because I am explicitly refuting the idea that if you lost the jungle in every circumstance that there was something you could have done to change the outcome. If you did everything else right, given game circumstances, but couldn't secure your buffs because the rest of your team isn't supporting you, then no it's not particularly your fault. There's even some leeway built in to that if you are setup to fail the rest of the game because your team first off couldn't protect you, which made your ganks weaker and your clears slower.

    Sometimes you can stem the bleeding, but you're still going to have been considered to lost the jungle (usually because the enemy started getting Dragons for free while you're catching up).

    I think we're talking past each other a bit here.

    If your lanes lose then that can cascade into your own jungle, and that's not the jungler's fault. I thought I stated that in my next post further explaining this idea, but if I didn't that's my mistake.

    I can read your posts though - there's no reason to get hostile with me spectrum.
    I may have misread your "I think you want to read the next post" line in the wrong way as starting something. If so, I apologize.

    I am rather sensitive to anything that looks vaguely like a "jungle's fault we lost game they could have played tons better" attitude also : (

    I wonder if them making Rengar's item a trinket hints at them considering doing something similar for Viktor. It's not like it costs money to begin with and each trinket has an upgrade path anyways. They would probably have to rework his passive so it actually did something and touch up some of his damage just because a six item Viktor would usher in the Glorious Revolution so fast.

    No Annie, walking up to a Lulu who obviously has full tanky runes/masteries on top of her Doran's Shield and burning your stun/Q/W on her is not helping. I'm level 2, I cannot melt her remaining 40% health before she blasts the both of us with glitterlances.

    She did that basically every time her stun was ready - walks up, nukes off half Lulu's health, gets killed for her trouble because Lulu still has all her CC and damage up. I tried to help the first time... and nearly got killed.

    And since Annie was a non-issue for them, I ended up eating EQs from Lulu all lane. Can't dodge a glitterlance when Pix warps next to you first. If Annie had built better we might have turned things around, but she ended up going more or less glass cannon (sorc shoes, blasting rod, only then realizing she might need armor and getting an armguard as her sole defensive item late in the game), so she never lived long enough for her base damage and CC to be relevant. We still won some teamfights off Make It Rain backed by Cleaver (lol physical team - like I'm not picking up an early cleaver... plus I needed health), but they were ahead enough to build tanky and run us over (since Annie basically died to incidental AoEs).

    annie had barrier and would hard engage whenever it was up, sivir would likewise go all in and once leona got nuked I did not have enough deeps to secure a kill, but I was able to get away. At the end of the laning phase I was down 50 cs and 0/1/0 and leona had died 4 times

    ADC is such a bitch position. You're dependent on your entire team to play properly. One lost matchup (hello giant Jax) or improper peel and you die. And you lose. Can't make plays. Can't do shit. Just gotta hope your team doesn't have their heads up their asses while you farm.

    8 straight losses as ADC in ranked. Elise jungle? 13/5/13.

    Hate this game sometimes.

    Yeaaahh I have no idea why someone would see I pick cait (which in fairness I did fine holding my own on CS until Sivir got fed enough to beat me to the punch on a bloodthirster from eating leonas) and go leona

    If I had a more defensive support I woulda done fine, I was ahead on CS for the first leg of the game. One rammus gank and I die and lost the CS lead, then Leona engaged "WE'RE BEHIND SO IM GOING ALL IN ALL THE TIME" mode

    Which could really describe many a lost game, the desire to try to make up for being behind by strapping on your rising sun bandana and piloting your Zero towards the enemy carry is the death of so many teams

    I pick the wrong runes and get bullied by AAs, fail pretty hard at dodging bindings too. Lose lane mostly, though did manage a solo kill back later on and stemmed the bleeding. Still lost game, thanks Kennen support. >_<

    Jax vs Warwick
    Bully him around for a bit until I guess he starts crying in team chat. At that point jungle and mid start literally living in the lane. J4 swings by, I avoid the gank...then he just stands idle in the middle of the lane and zones me out for a couple waves. Ez swings by, I avoid the gank, he hangs out for awhile also. Then tries to circle behind and dive me from full HP (seriously what). At least the other lanes capitalized. >_< 130 CS in a 30 minute game fkyeah

    Swain vs Yasuo
    First time laning against him ever. Lost an early duel due to misplaying, then got worked over. Ate a lot of tornadoes in the face due to never seeing them before. Got completely and utterly victimized by jungle Xin Three Talon -> Yasuo Last Breath over and over and over. Team managed to claw it back due to them getting a little too confident but the deficit was pretty big. Finally lost one big team fight and that was it.

    Hey everyone, just found these codes in my backpack from Pax East. Not sure if they have been redeemed or not. If not, they are good for the NA servers and for the EU servers (separately I think, so give them a shot). Please either post in the thread if you have tried them or PM me and I will edit this post.

    If you don't own the champion these will unlock the champion AND the skin
