I know the "oh my god new game!" hype has passed for it but Blackguards is so good, guys. Probably the best old school turn based strategy/RPG I've played in a long, long time. I like it even more than King's Bounty, which I like a lot.
With that and Banner Saga out around the same time, hoo boy. So good.
I'm having fun with it. I wish the VO was better though. I seriously just want the mage to shut his stupid mouth and never ever talk again.
I'm tempted to get that tommorow. But things are getting tough at home now, and I dunno if I can justify it. :< It's going to end up being a debate between this and octodad. And octodad is going to win.

Gettin kinda burned out on those crypt lice in the cave, man.
Anyone got opinions on Rekoil? it's from 505 who have impressed me so far this year.
I haven't seen anything of it for a while but last I checked it's basically call of duty/battlefield lite with an emphasis on player creativity and modding.
So maybe? Only last time I brought a game like this it was Breach and had dead servers on launch. Though that might've being because Breach was shite.
I've been playing it for a bit now, and the customization is alot less than I was expecting. There's a pretty straight forward 'best' setup for what you want to do based on how the stats effect things. So in the end you wind up with groupings of weapons that look like class seperation you see in other games.
But overlooking that, it is a _ton_ of fun to play.
Didn't rooster teeth make that game where you were all actors on a set and had to kill each other in a deathmatch that ranged form guns to looney toon traps. And if you met certain conditions, you'd die in an animation straight out of a slasher movie........dammit, now I'm sad Naughty Bear was a crappy game.

Rooster Teeth don't do games.
They produce machinima (mostly the famous Red Vs Blue) and have a recently released anime RWBY which is surprisingly well produced for a pretty small company. The guys you hear in the trailer are their Achievement Hunter/Lets Play guys who do a mix of informative and comedy videos on games.
Basically if you don't know Rooster Teeth you should check them out, because alot of the stuff they produce is fantastic comedy and they're all pretty cool guys.

You're thinking of Bloody good time, which was made by the same devs as the ship.

I don't know if anyone mentioned it, but Best Buy's sale at the moment includes a few bucks off Steam Wallet cards
Everything looks beautiful when you're young and pretty
Man for real though FS2 is surprisingly top-notch with the mods all installed. It looks great, plays great, is great. I do definitely feel like a complete jackass a lot of missions though. Scraping through with like 2 kills.
But man I just cannot wait for No Man's Sky/Enemy Starfighter/Elite/Star Citizen/Etc it is gonna be such a banner year to love blowing shit up in space.

keyboard or mouse for control?
also, wings of dawn for most anime injection but variety of gameplay

Joystick, obviously. That's why I went back to replay. To be fair, I've sucked at this sort of game since I was playing Chuck Yeager's Air Combat. It's just that they are also very fun.
Interesting. Based on knowing nothing about the game and just viewing that trailer alone, it looks like the Binding of Isaac re-created from the imagination of Tim Burton.

Wouldn't sales tax kind of ruin this?
No sales tax on gift cards.
EDIT: Usually.
The sales tax and other, similar taxes are applied when the gift card is used, not when it is purchased.
I've always wondered how that works, as I never buy steam wallet cards, or gift cards for that matter.
I'm on Colorado so I can't speak to how taxes work everywhere else, but for me it's really simple. I just give the $20 or $50 card to the cashier along with my credit card and walk out with the card. No tax is charged. Then I just plug the code into Steam and have fun money to play with.
Looks like someone is looking for a video to . . . enjoy all by themselves.
You are a monster.
Make sure to get the expansions and enter and clear every dungeon, @DyasAlure. Otherwise you haven't really beaten Skyrim.
Well, I'm playing Ninja now. I'm part way through skyrim. I don't know if I have enough time for 100%. I'm in school, and wow, calc 1, I have done about 6 hours of homework in the last 3 days, and I still have about 3 problems I should finish. I had to take a break though. Also, being in college, I'm broke. I just have base game.
On Ninja, I'm not supposed to ninja murder everyone and hid bodies for extra points am I? Lets see, hid behind garbage can. Get undetected points. Ninja kill, get points. Hid body, get points. I'm doing it right? right?
What? Freespace 2? Start Trek? Why? Oh, don't temp me. I'm hardened you people.
Gift cards don't have sales tax when you buy them because all you're really doing is exchanging a 50 dollar bill for a plastic 50 dollar bill that only works at X place when you purchase the card. When you use the gift card on steam or wherever then you pay sales tax on that purchase.
Now what happens is if you do not live in Washington state(where Valve is located physically) then Valve is not required to charge you sales tax when you buy games on steam. However, this does not mean you are getting tax free games(at least not legally). What it means is when it's time to file your taxes, and the state tax forms say "List here the dollar amount of purchases you made that you didn't pay state sales tax on yet" then you pay your use tax then.
You might be defrauding your state, but it's not a legally free ride. =P Unless of course you live in like New Hampshire or other glorious states that don't have state sales tax.

So I missed the daily but would I be correct in thinking that Kenshi is a DayZ/Rust em up type of game?
Actually it is more on par with Mount and Blade I'd say, except without the first person battles. Everything is done more from an isometric viewpoint, you simply tell your guy to go attack things, and you can recruit followers who have skills in certain things, be it cutting things or building things, or running fast, etc. etc.
Its a pretty cool game but super barebones right now, I don't regret purchasing it a few months ago but I'm letting it cook in the oven for a bit longer before I try my hand at it again
So weird that people are talking flight sticks, I just bought a Saitek X52. Figured since I have a Rift I should either get a steering wheel or a flight stick, and I'd rather fly than drive.
So, I finally got a 2nd controller for the PC so I don't have to use keyboard when playing co-op with the girlfriend.
Just want to say that Trine 2 is pretty much the greatest co-op game to play with her, and Sonic Racing.
Now that I think about it, these two make good analogues for the Wii Super Mario Bros. and Mario Kart games, don't you agree?
All we need is a Mario Party equivalent to finally produce some online friendship-destroying mayhem.
I completely agree, was thinking the same thing the other night while playing them.

DAXTERMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAX!!!
I watched that trailer, and I was all, "Sweet, I need to go post an 'Isaac 2: Burton Boogaloo' joke", and you beat me to it!
Trawling around the Steam Store and I saw that Theme Park Studio is hitting Early Access next month. Looks like some potential for a sweet modernization of the RollerCoaster Tycoon formula. Plus, this sounds amazing:
- Oculus Rift Support: Due to overwhelming requests for this support, we are proud to announce this cutting edge technology will be included in all versions of Theme Park Studio.
So Strike Vector is a lot of fun. Chaotic and it took me a few matches to really get how to move around and be more aware of my surroundings, but I'm getting the hang of it.

More people need to make flightstick games, now that I have one. Still waiting on all those giant space games to make it out of the gate.

At the same time I kinda feel like playing Loadout to win is counter to the point of having stupid guns.
Which instantly made me think that having a playmode, where its generating you 2 random guns at the start of a round would just be awesome.
The "buff" ammo (not healing) is so inefficient to use, I only see people using it on themselves, then rampaging into battle.

Nope, no sales tax. I grabbed $100 for $95 even while I was there.

Cool I need to install both Trine games and give them a go with my boy... Also I totally didn't think about playing Sonic racing local coop. Awesome.
