I don't know if this will count towards my two songs, but here is at least a song. Sadly there is no karaoke version of this song yet. http://youtu.be/320D4hbYsYk
Thinking of getting on the late train to either Torchlight II or Path of Exile. What are the pro's and con's regarding those two?
PoE is much more hardcore and old school.
Torchlight 2 is the new shiney thing that controls better with a brighter more WoW like visuals.
I prefer Torchlight 2 but if you used to play Diablo 2 and want more of that then path of Exile is pretty much exactly what you want. It's also free in a really genuine way too. There's no real reason to spend money in that game ever last I played.

Oh hey, Final Fantasy XIV is on Steam now - 50% off, making it 12.50 Eurodollars.
It's definitely worth checking it out for a month at that price.
Heads up, According to a SE Rep on Reddit if you get it on steam it doesnt link directly to your SE account. You can't play your non-steam account through the steam launcher, it would create a new account etc.
CorriganX on Steam and just about everywhere else.
anyone have recommedations for games that can be played one handed using a trackpad with your non dominant hand? this surgery recovery is boring me.
Eschalon: Book III just released recently, if you've played the first two. They're old-school RPGs if you haven't and pretty good! Turn-based too so you could easily play with your non-dominant hand.

Banished comes out today.
I think I'll get it tonight...
Day one purchase...
Man, my last day 1 purchase was MGR:Revengeance for the PS3... such reminisce.
Is there an easy way to see if a friend owns a DLC pack for a game? All I can think of is to go to the store page, put it in my cart, and see if I could gift it to them.

did you try asking them?
That seems like the easiest way to me.
That idea is just crazy enough to work. I was looking to surprise the person though. Oh well. I figured out that when you look at the store page you can click and see what friends have it wishlisted and which own it already anyhow.

Going to the person's profile and searching their game library always works for me... The DLCs don't show up if you're just scrolling through their list of games, but if you use the search function for one specifically, it will.
I beat Banner Saga... and I can't help but feel I kept making the wrong decisions towards the end? Like now I just want to go and read an optimal path guide because i'm sure one exists.
@HyphyKezzy's back was killing him. Delivering the surplus heavy weapons had taken half the morning. At least he'd be able to catch a tournament match for free. The stands were already packed full. The decline in attendance had been brief. So he headed for a seat at a small kabob stand that had a few stools setup in front of it. The only other person seated at the stand struck him as someone who must have served some time as a soldier. Hyphy settled with a groan from the back pain.
"Cook will be back in a few minutes. Had to go grab some supplies"
"Thanks. Say, you look familiar."
"You're one of Taramoor's guys right? Third legion?", @Visskar asked.
"That's right. You?"
"Used to be a captain in the 2nd. Got the boot with the rest of the legion when the cutbacks hit."
"You're Viskarr! Aren't you? Man, I heard some stories about the 2nd. You know, it's a travesty how they closed the door on you guys. The Empire owes, not just the 2nd, but all the dismissed legions."
Viskarr nodded and smiled slightly.
"At least we can get on with our lives. Still do some real work. What have they got you doing here? Hall monitor?"
"Ughh!" Hyphy expressed in agreement. "Delivery boy. The general donated some of the surplus heavy weaponry to the Colosseum. Figures it might at least get used this way. I think maybe he just wants to see if anyone here can even lift em. What do you mean real work? What do you do now?
"Only thing I've ever been good at." Viskarr paused a moment. "Getting people games."
HypyKezzy looked away, and did what he usually did in these situations. He pretended he hadn't heard anything. Being used to this response, Visskar just smiled stiffly and worked on his drink.
Hypy knew Visskar by reputation. He'd worked his way up the ranks of the 2nd Legion. But was always on the front lines. He was credited with bringing scores of games back to the Empire. Soon after the Emperor declared a ban on new conquests, the 2nd Legion was abolished along with most of the rest. After a few minutes Hyphy spoke up. "What about this new Transparency Act. Isn't that going to be a problem for you guys?"
"Might be. Hasn't gone into effect, yet. You could say we're having a fire sale. Everything must go."
After another pause, Visskar continued. "Who's to say you didn't already own The Witcher and The Witcher 2? They're old enough."
"What does something like that cost?" Hyphy asked.
"Six"
"That's it?" Hyphy was surprised and dug out more than enough money.
"It's a buyer's market. But you know what, for one of Taramoor's...Make it twenty."Visskar's demeanor turned cold as he plucked the money from Hyphy's hand. He thumbed through the bills, took exactly twenty, then harshly tossed the rest back along with a small envelope. "I hear delivery boys make plenty of cash. Now get out of here. Your sweat is stinking up my spot."
Something in Visskar's eyes made Hyphy refrain from complaining. He left to find somewhere else to view the match that was just getting started far below.
@Yorker Attack 10 Defend 12 Health 15 @Polaritie Attack 12 Defend 14 Health 09
Gladiators have been given the option of using weapons from the military. They are especially heavy and difficult to wield without sufficient strength.
Special Might Check: Roll 1d6. Roll equal to or lower than Might score to succeed.
Success: +3 Attack for the duration of the match.
Failure: No change. Regular weapons used instead.
Geth roll 1d6 for Yorker against 2
Geth roll 1d6 for Polaritie against 1
Both fighters were given the option of using heavy weapons this match. After testing them out a bit, they've opted for their usual weapons instead.
Yorker enters the field and waves to cheering fans. He's wearing little to no armor. Bare chested, but with metal braces strapped to each arm and leg that could be used to try and deflect an attack. Draped across his chest is a bandolier knives in a variety of shapes and sizes. Polaritie wears little protection as well. He's dressed in a dark blue tunic, and has leather bands wound across the length of his arms and legs. He carries an intricately decorated lacquered sword sheath. The katana within is long, thin, and curved compared to the usual gladius more commonly seen here. The two fighters size each other up in the center of the arena. Neither has yet drawn a weapon. They tense as the signal to begin sounds.
Geth roll 1d20+10 for Yorker's Attack
Geth roll 1d20+12 for Yorker's Defend
Geth roll 1d20+12 for Polaritie's Attack
Geth roll 1d20+14 for Polaritie's Defend
Yorker swiftly pulls two shorter knives from the belt and throws them at his foe in one smooth motion. One for each eye should do the trick, he thinks. Then he can take his time with the rest. Two wooden thunks followed. Polaritie lowers the sheath from before his face, and brushes the blades loose. Two steps forward and the katana is drawn and slashing across Yorker's chest. From shoulder to hip a crimson wound erupts across Yorker's body. Yorker falls backwards to the ground with a stifled cry.

Yorker lies bleeding on the ground, breathing rapid and shallow. He can't seem to find the strength to move. What happened? The sun in his eyes is glaring, why can't he seem to close them? A shadow falls over him and brings some small relief. Polaritie smoothly pushes his blade into Yorker's heart. He mutters a small prayer and closes Yorker's eyes.
He leaves the arena floor to clean his blade and meditate.
