I'm the shittiest shit that was ever shat out of a butt, and I was sent a PM with the key. I hadn't read his response here yet, so I activated it blindly think I'd won a Steamgifts giveaway, only to find out it was a copy of the Valentines DLC. Unfortunately a single copy is useless to me as I am playing the game with my boyfriend and I can't/won't play any DLC that we can't play together, and he doesn't want to buy any more DLC outside of the core Season Pass stuff. So now I feel bad that the key was wasted on me, so in my guilt I'm going to clear out these coupons that Steam just dumped on me.
Eh, don't worry about it. It was free.
It's only $3 on it's own, so if you guys change your mind on the no further DLC thing you can grab him a copy and you'll be able to get some extra beelands 2 gameplay in for the lowly cost of three McChickens.

Everyone who hasn't got Rise of the Triad should start shaking down their friends list for a sweet-sweet 75% off coupon. That game is fun as balls at the US$15 price-point let alone $3.75. Maybe not "CoJ Gunslinger" good, but pretty good.

Not yet, I only saw it on GOG earlier and noted the small download. Kind of a toss-up where I get it from actually. I usually side for GOG in these circumstances because they come with goodies, but Banished comes with no goodies! It's a straight-down-the-line toss up between DRM-free or always-up-to-date... And considering this is a solo effort and looks reasonably complex, we can expect a bunch of patches... Decisions!
I loved BioShock Infinite but stupid stream tags, recommended by stream no less, spoiled it and preemptively made me hate the twist, and now the ending just annoyed me.
So I grabbed Grid 2 when it was marked down yesterday and the game won't run for more than five minutes without a black screen video crash. I've updated my drivers and done the force DirectX 10 thing. What's my best bet for getting a refund out of Steam? They don't even seem to have that as a category in making a Support ticket now.

Have you checked the Task Manager to see if the program is still running? If not, you should be able to close it from there no dramas. Otherwise I still don't see an issue in closing it if it's only preparing to install and not mid-installation. Are you using the nVidia Desktop Management Software? I think that's what it's called (not at home so I can't check the PC), but it's the program that allows you to optimise your graphics card to specific games at a click. I install my driver updates through that program and haven't had any issues, so I'd give that a try next time.

I was actually ecstatic that I could mention the tag fiasco in lecture to my professor. She understood it and the similar issue in greenlight, and picked up on the idea of bots affecting greenlight as well, before I had a chance to mention it. Cool, I beat Runner 2, with perfects on every level no less! Normal mode, though. Thanks to the checkpoints, Runner 2 is a heck of a lot less frustrating than Bit.Trip Runner was. Easier, too. That might be because of the difficulty levels, although I played some levels on hard in world five and they didn't seem too bad.
