Asylum Demon, there are two main ways to go here.
If you're planning to go heavy into STR and want its (mediocre) club: Pick Black Firebombs as your starting gift, rain flaming death on him the first time you encounter him (going through the big double doors)
Normal method: Two hand your weapon and drop-attack him for a lot of his health. Keep circling behind him while blocking, wait for him to use something you can punish. The air drop calls for backing off, then charging after its over. Just plink away at him.
If you meant the Taurus Demon:
When you enter the area, immeidately turn around and climb the ladder. Clear out the archers atop the tower. Go back down, and cross the bridge slowly. When the Taurus Demon shows up, run like hell back to the ladder, climb up, and then drop-attack him for free damage. Lure him back across the bridge to the far side, wait for him to wind up an attack, then run back to the ladder and do it all over again. (Alternatively, after the easy first stab, just plink away the rest of his health)
Battle Ten (Posting this prewritten bit, followup may be a while)
The air down here felt heavy and oppressive. A sickly sweet smell pervaded. @Incindium avoided spending much time below the Colosseum. The tunnels went deeper than he had imagined. Only the kabob company used the tunnels and storage this far down. Despite how large a part of the Colosseum's day to day operation the company had become, @Incindium was still surprised at how active it was down here. Robed workers pushed carts of produce deeper in and uncooked kabobs back out. The temperature had dropped more and more as he descended. He stopped one of the carts passing by to ask where he could find the foreman. Another two levels down apparently. He continued onward. He hadn't passed anyone else for some time now and the lighting was getting worse. At the end of the corridor was a closed metal door. With no other hallways or ramps down this must be the the end of the tunnel system, and he still hadn't found who he was looking for. Certain he must have missed the proper turn he began to head back the way he came. He stopped mid step and stood silently. He had definitely heard someone just then beyond the door. So maybe this is the right place. He gave the door's handle a pull. Locked. The sound was clearer this close. Singing?
He tried knocking. "Hello? I'm looking for the Berylline supervisor." He couldn't hear it anymore. Did it stop? He leaned in close and set his ear against the door. Maybe he had imagined it. Other noises on the way down had had a way of echoing about. Nothing. What ever it was, if it had been anything, it wasn't there now. But he continued to listen for some reason and he began to think he COULD hear something. Something different. He wasn't sure how he'd describe it. Like a faint chewing...honking?
"Commander Incindium?" A loud voice spoke clearly behind him. He was startled by the sudden noise and turned to see a robed Berylline employee at the start of the corridor. He set his ear back to the door, but he couldn't hear it now. He finally pulled away and answered the new arrival. "Yes. You're the supervisor down here correct? Do you have the key to this door?"
"No, we haven't expanded down this far yet. Don't you have the keys?"
Incindium cast a final glace back at the sealed door. It didn't even appear to have a key hole.
"No. I've been looking for you. The Emperor's retinue. We need to make sure there will be enough food ready for him and his entourage."
"I know...your second in command found me. He said you'd gone to alert me some time ago and were overdue. It was a rush, but we were able to have everything ready before the Emperor arrived. Afterwards I thought I should come looking for you. It's easy to get lost down here."
"Arrived? But he's not due until noon."
"It's already past two Commander..."
Incindium emerged blinking in the bright sun. Certainly past noon, as she had said. The Emperor was furious with him. How was the head of his Colosseum's security not available for the Emperor when he arrived. Getting lost under the Colosseum was not a sufficient excuse. Getting lost there for 4 hours? That was not a believeable one. Deep beneath the arena floor, after escorting Incindium back upwards, @an_alt pushed a heavy covered cart below. The sealed door swung open before her, she pushed the cart through, and the door closed. Back in the darkened corridor, the faint sound of singing resumed. Far above, two gladiators faced each other, and a trumpet gave a signal.
Mudzgut wore a burlap sack over his face with rough uneven holes cut into it to see out of. The only other article of clothing the large muscular man wore was a heavy leather apron. Presumably stained from long usage in a slaughter house or tanning mill. In one hand he held a large meat cleaver. In the other a large hook attached to a wooden handle. Emberquick looked back over his shoulder at the gate he'd come through and back to his opponent. Was this seriously who he was supposed to fight. This was not what he had in mind when he signed up. He'd done three years of professional stage acting, and had been praised for his "visceral realistic stunt work". His friends had encouraged him to try out for the gladiatorial tournament. Those assholes! Emberquick wore his favorite gladiator costume armor, a mix of hardened leather, shiny metal, and what now felt like way too much exposed skin. The gladius and shield they'd given him were heavier than the ones he used on stage.

@johnwing, are you talking about the Asylum Demon or the Taurus Demon on the bridge?
The first huge boss you see when starting the game. You end up in a room with pillars and a lot of jars. I try to fight him with my broken sword but I can't seem to damage him. I can dodge a couple of his attacks but that is it. Is there some weakpoint that I'm not seeing here? I kinda turned me off the game by putting me with a hard boss just when I have done the tutorials.

Thanks for the advice. Is the drop attack a special move or something? I usually choose the class with the armor.

Mudzgut charged forward excitedly squealing like a pig. This was reason enough for Emberquick to hastily retreat, but the flailing meat cleaver added incentive. Emberquick rapidly backed up until to his dismay he was up against the arena wall. The crowd above began to boo him. The large mostly naked Mudzgut was still coming. Remembering the pirate ship scene from his third play, Emberquick somersaulted into a roll to one side letting Mudzgut crash into the wall. Emberquick sprang to his feet and whisked his sword around in the air with a "Ya hah!". Emberquick nervously awaited the next attack from Mudzgut but it didn't come at first. The big man was just staring at him. I've updated my drivers and done the force DirectX 10 thing. What's my best bet for getting a refund out of Steam? They don't even seem to have that as a category in making a Support ticket now.
Mudzgut lashes out with the meat hook faster than Emberquick can avoid. The hook gouges his left shoulder. The nervousness vanishes, replaced with anger, and he clumsily smacks back at the butcher with his gladius.
