Oh wow. They snuck "Unsporting Conduct" in on the most recent update. The last I looked you could only report people for cheating. It's ridiculously buried though and you have to search for their exact gamer tag.
But does it avoid people when you report them? That's the key thing.
“I used to draw, hard to admit that I used to draw...”
Does anyone else miss the ability to block players that we had on the 360? I ask because the jail system in KI doesn't prevent jailed players from being matched with me and disconnecting when I'm about to win. What really puzzles and annoys me is that these players are doing this in Exhibition matches.
Then, after they disconnect mid-match, I get re-matched with them and have to endure them shouting insults and tea-bagging me when they win or disconnecting mid-match if it looks like I'm going to win.
All of this could be fixed if I could just avoid the bastards.
I was in a Titanfall lobby when this kid came in, level 1, and just talking shit in the lobby about how players suck, blah blah, so I hit the block and mute button. It said I wouldn't be matched with him in future games.
For the record I hated the dead rising games, yet dead rising 3 is probably my most played on Xbox one. I'm a bit curious about plants vs zombies multiplayer hosting, since I'm in Australia, but hopefully it's the kind of game where twitch accuracy isn't a big deal.
Also again Ryse is going to be 39.99 (US) for a few days so if you were on the fence because of reviews but were really interested I recommend it thoroughly. Also do not play it on recruit, up the challenge so you get more out of the combat in what I think was quite a solid romp through an exaggerated ancient Roman world.

You have to specifically Block them. I wish I knew this feature was there last night. I honestly can't remember the name of the foul mouthed jerkwad and who had his Kinect on and his cronies chiming in.
Dead Rising 3 was great. It took all the fun of combining things from DR2, made that not suck, gave you more time to play around on the map and was fun as balls to run around and cause havoc on.
The only complaint I could see would be difficulty, but who cares I mean GTA5 wasn't hard either, didn't make it any less fun.
I would like some money because these are artisanal nuggets of wisdom philistine.
Which again didn't bother me. It made the game way more fun and let me complete nightmare mode. Then again I fall on the "Games that are overly difficult to be difficult aren't fun" group of carebears. I played Nintendo when I was a young man, I did not enjoy the experience nor do I want to relive it in my adult hood.

Is there a way to set the volume voice commands to adjust by a larger amount? "Xbox, volume down" only takes the volume down 3% currently. I'd rather have it do 10 or 20 percent swings.
So, lately I have had to jump through hoops in order to get multiplayer to work. The system will be online and connected, but it doesn't want to allow me to do multiplayer. Retrying the "test multiplayer connection" thing is the only thing that seems work. Anybody else run into this issue?
“I used to draw, hard to admit that I used to draw...”
Rayman went up on the store looks like, but I will wait for inevitable price drop or sale. I still need to finish Origins on 360, only about halfway through that one.
I got the XB1 to play BF4 and now AC4, and my choice was made over the PS4 because all the people I shoot mans with also are on the XB1
Titanfall was not a factor. Although if it has a solid SP campaign to complement the MP I will be getting it for sure.
It has no single player campaign.
It does have a campaign, there's just always going to be up to 11 other people playing with you. The gameplay I saw in the Beta was rad as fuck. It's taking every ounce of willpower I have to keep myself from buying a One right now...
That may have just sold it to me.
[edit] i was thinking kinda borderfall lite from what you said at first but maybe i just need to read more about the game.
I may be a huge fanboy of old school ID but this just is exactly what I want
It's really good fun. I especially loved how the cover was destructible so as I was sitting there being all "LAWL CHEST HIGH WALLS NAZIS, YOU-" I suddenly started getting hit and noticed that they were blowing chunks out of the wall. That's when I went "Oh, looks like you guys won WW2 by figuring that out after all".
Sadly the Bethsoft rep at the IGN Black Beta awards would not confirm to me if Mecha Hitler was in the game, but at least every single person asks him about it!
Between rayman, strider, plants vs zombies, i may even be quite busy by and on march 11
Also yeah all games no matter their price will have 1000 gamerscore now.
yeah the 1000 gamerscore thing was announced quite some time before the system even came out. It's nice. Especially since it makes arcade games last even longer if they don't just up the amount of score you get and actually make a competent list worth 1000.

So I'm a little late on this, but I went through the tag list in the OP and sent a bunch of friend requests.
So I picked up DR3 with my new Xbone. I wanted Forza, but they were out. I'm trying to force myself to finish up DR3 before I pick up Forza, and Titanfall might hit before then.
I'm looking at the stuff on arcade. Aside from Peggle, which I'll almost certainly buy soon, what are the best things I should buy? Is PvZ out yet? Is the golf game good enough? Did we ever figure out if it had local multi?
What is this I don't even.

Power star golf does have local multiplayer, and its pretty fun. I've apparently put 68 hours into it. It can be frustrating at times if you putt like a pre-"happy place" happy Gilmore like I do.
I've definitely got my 20 bucks out of it, eeven if I think its more of a 15 dollar title.

My copy of Dead Rising 3 should arrive today. I have to admit, I'm pretty excited. How does the co-op work?

A buddy can join your game with their super powered bro and he takes on an NPC that when you play singleplayer is just in cut scenes. When you start your game up you select the kind of bros you don't mind joining your game, or you can select singleplayer and no bros join.
I would like some money because these are artisanal nuggets of wisdom philistine.
Yeah, when they join they are at whatever progress you are at. You can also join someone farther than you in the story and do those parts, and then when you go back to your game I believe when you get to those parts you did in multi you can skip them.

Something I can't figure out with my XBone. Ok, I guess it's made to be kept on for 10 years straight. But I have auto off after 1 hour. I've been going to sleep with netflix or hulu on. When I set my tv timer, the tv turns off at some point, the xbox has been on every morning when I woke up still. Last night I forgot to set the sleep timer on my tv. Xbox shut off for the first time due to inactivity. What?
What games have couch multiplayer for the One so far other than golf?
Edit: I ask, you see, because my wife mentioned wanting another controller so we could play stuff. She was at Best Buy and asked if she should get one, I said, "Yeah, snag one of the Titanfall LE ones if you see some."
So she comes home with this cool controller box, and I'm super excited to open my new controller when she says, "It's even got orange on it, this one is perfect to be my controller."

The auto shut of has never worked right for me either - it's set to shut of after an hour but when I pass out watching tv on my htpc that's piped through the HDMI in the morning it's blinking the not tv signal message because the htpc shuts off it"monitor".
So after I failed to carry a team a team of players that weren't even over level 10 to my 50+, and where in a 25 point TDM, I posted at least 15 kills per round, I get an abusive message from one of the players. Not sure if he was on my team or not. But thanks for telling me how to use mute/block to avoid players. Also reported him. Either he was telling me that I got raped (but confused get/got), or telling me to get raped. Still unsure... if only I could remember if he was on my team or not. =\

Dead Rising 3 is definitely my fav game so far on the One. I just aced Nightmare mode yesterday and got me the Mega Buster.
I'm a little annoyed that they haven't fixed the Beer Hat bug, and I wish I could do something with the 32 extra skill points I have lying around, but it's waaaaaaaaaay better than the other games in the series.

I think at the moment it's:
Killer Instinct Halo: Spartan Assault I was wrong about this - online co-op only. Which is dumb.
Call of Duty: Ghosts
Forza 5 (although it's pretty limited - no AI racers with you and no online)
Zoo Tycoon (I think - haven't tried it for myself to see how that works
Peggle 2
Fifa 14
Probably some of the basketball/American Football games
Out of those the best ones for local play are Killer Instinct, Halo and Call of Duty I think. Supposedly Titanfall might have it too though!

It's also way overpriced for what you get. The campaign is entirely solo, and the co-op is a separate, short mode. As a big Halo fan I enjoyed it, but definitely wait for a sale.

PvZ is definitely gonna have couch co-op though, right?
Also zero load times for levels.
Also insanely pretty graphics.
Also it's $40 brand new.
I guess I'm saying "buy Rayman Legends for couch co-op goodness."
