1. So everyone's tokens go: rank, color/unknown? So guys with 2 unknown tokens will never give away their team via wounds?
2. How does the Harlequin reveal the false color if both her tokens are unknown?
3. I have no idea how the Mage's staff ability works.
4. Does the Alchemist use his role ability before receiving a wound from intervening?
5. Are duplicate roles on the same team possible?
6. I'm not sure what this mean:
"One thing to think about is affiliation token reveal order - revealing your first token automatically narrows your role from 9 possibilities to 6, the second brings it to 3, so if your goal is to hide your role then it may not be as effective as you might think."

1. Yes: Rank / Color or ? / Color or ?
2. On the card in the corner is a "clue" section that you discreetly show to the person next to you. Tokens are not involved in this transaction.
3. If a mage takes his role token they may give someone a staff. Now, instead of taking normal color tokens, which might force them to reveal their allegiance, they are only ever allowed to take unknown tokens, meaning if you give a staff to someone with no loyalty tokens revealed, they will never be identifiable as red or blue via those tokens.
4. Using your role ability is the same as taking a wound, since you must be wounded to reveal your role. You intervene, and thus, you take a wound. The wound is your role token, and thus, you use your ability.
5. No.
6. Each loyalty token you take makes it more and more certain which role you are, and could make it more certain which color you are as well. That statement just means "remember when you reveal a loyalty token what you're actually revealing."
6. No matter what token you reveal one reveals first, it tells you everybody which possible roles that person might be. There are three classes that have only red or blue tokens and three that have only unknown. If someone reveals an unknown, they are neither an Elder, a Mentalist, or a Guardian. If someone reveals a color, they are neither an Assassin, Harlequin or Alchemist. You should take into consideration which roles you are letting people know you might be when you reveal if you want to set up convincing lies.
Rend is correct. To expand on #3, when you take an affiliation token you must follow the tokens for your team & role (see the role spoiler in the OP). If you have a staff, instead you must take an unknown token
Rend is correct, and also is The Goltana Knight. To expand on #3, when you take an affiliation token you must follow the tokens for your team & role (see the role spoiler in the OP). If you have a staff, instead you must take an unknown token
For #4 - the timing doesn't really matter since you can only heal/harm the original target (and you can only use it on interventions so self-heal is impossible). Yes, it's technically possible for two alchemists to keep themselves alive barring mentalist/assassin attacks, but they would have no incentive to as they are on opposite teams
Mm hmm. I think I may have made the icon graphics a bit too large, they kind of dwarf the text. Oh well.
Nah, they're a good size. It does look a little weird mixed in with the text, but they're a perfect size for the occasional "here's what everyone is showing" update at a glance

Could you put a smaller text-version below the images?
My work net doesn't like PA Dev so I get a bunch of borken images at work.
I'm guessing this is a joke? The list of teams is Rose/Beast/Inquisitor, and you're just being silly?
Obviously the only way for my claim to be meaningful is if it's revealed by Capfalcon, but who knows what he'll do. Especially when he's being accidentally stabbed and might be somewhat preoccupied by the vicious and unprovoked attack.
"Attack" is a specific term in this game and has important meaning, it does not just mean taking a wound. This has important ramifications in various rules and powers so pay attention. (Use of a power isn't an Attack unless it says so.)
You can do permutations for determining order on Orokos/Geth.

You found me out.
You cracked my code. Now Blarney will never take the bait!

Quick question, which I probably missed: Communication outside of the thread is legal or illegal?
[edit] NM, right in the OP as I expected.

Or, rather not saying that? :winky:

Editing for clarity.
You're not a Yuri player, are you? I'm going to have to stab Yuri players.

Shiny technology! Nah, I don't play Yuri. My favorites have to be Ayla and Skolldir.
So who wants to reveal their color allegiance first? Clan of the Beast, or Clan of the Rose? Mine is ---
A secret! But I will say that MrB and I are on a team
I'll trade you. If you tell me what alignment Kristmas is referring to, I'll give you a list of 3 teams, and guarantee I am a member of one of them.

You can do permutations for determining order on Orokos/Geth.
Geth roll 11p11 for example order
Mrblarney - 867
kristmas - 862
capfalcon - 847
obifett - 787
crimsoncoyote - 649
preda - 647
mrbody - 575
jdark - 499
GG - 468
rend - 238
discrider - 44
And then I notice Phyphor did it for us at the top of this page instead of at the bottom of the last one.
That's handy!

Exciting, I know.
So, knife, what's say you and me go for a walk and visit our dear friend, Obifett.
What's that, knife? You like that plan! Great!
Hey, @Obifett!
Knock, knock.

Also, ouch
Let me just wipe this off
