My first draft (not counting the free one they gave me where I tried to make a murloc warlock deck w/o even knowing it was a thing): arenamastery.com/FZON
Please with the critiquing.
edit: So far 1-0. Turn 6 giant, turn 7 faceless->giant, turn 8 -16hp for him.
2nd game with this was the most stressful I've yet had. Vs another priest. My mana curve is steep and I get a starting hand of three 5 mana cards, toss them out and get two 6s and a 1. I didn't play a single card until a horrible combo on 5 to kill a 3/5 shieldmasta. Used a faceless on a stapeding kodo to learn two things. First, you don't get the copied card's battle cry to trigger. Second, when you brewmaster it back, you get the copied card, not the faceless. I suspected both of these but wanted to test.
But he couldn't finish me, though I got to 8. Again a Sea Giant that can't be dealt with wins the game. 2-0 with an incredibly slow ass deck. Proved to me that you never concede in Arena though.
Kind of disappointed I did so poorly with this mage arena deck. I thought it was pretty boss, but I either didn't get the draws I needed, or I couldn't maintain any kind of board control.
#4 frostbolt over amani - its my top pick for mage, I would take it over fireball if both were offered
#6 smith over ancient brew - its a tossup but I think in mage the health of smith slightly pushes it ahead. Also for mages the 4 drop slot has a lot of goodies
#9 youthful over cone - I like cone but securing the early tempo is super more important imo
#19 silver hand over rocketeer - you have pyro to finish the game, silver hand is one of those drops you can do anytime whether you are ahead or behind
#20 mana wraith over secret keeper - you have a secret but the chances of having both out are slim, mana wraith also sucks but at least its funny to troll people with it
#21 poly over arcane missiles - moar hard removal
#23 cult master over cone - you don't have flamestrike yet so cone isn't positioned well, doubly so if you took the earlier cone
#27 kirin tor over argent commander - its close but you don't have enough 3 minions, that is just about the best 3 drop there is, AND if you happen to get both kirin tor and mirror entity in your hand on an empty board its might as well be a win condition
#28 razorfen over frost nova - you don't have enough 3 drop dudes
#29 poly over worgen - you made the right call for your picks, if you made my picks you would have enough 3s
I think your picks were fine, I don't value freeze as highly as you but I understand the appeal
Ah OK. I've been doing OK so far with my decks and some games have been super close and edge-of-your-seat intense but I've also learned some things since the league started so hmmmmmmm...
heck I think I still have a crocolisk in there when I had yet realized that sunfury protector is far better since I'm not running a beast deck

I just won a game by hexing one of my own creatures so they couldn't kill me with an arcanite reaper
It was pretty hot

hey guys reynad posted about a new deck today (you may remember him for popularizing warrior aggro) so you should pretty much expect to see this deck every match now
Oh, so that's where that deck came from. I faced Warlock after Warlock yesterday running a version of that deck and just thought they must have the quest where they have to play a ton of 2 or less mana creatures.
It beat the warlock mirror, but lost horribly to any control deck I was using.
Had the win 5 as a druid quest. Hit play, nothing but slow decks that beat my anti-rush druid. Put together a rush druid deck, play nothing but rush decks. Swap back to the anti-rush deck and... back to slow decks.
Why do you hate me, hearthstone?!
It's strange, the most success I've had in this game was before I started watching any streamers. I basically put together Reynad's warrior for a quest and quickly won my 5 and deleted the deck. I really should stop watching Trump, I get worse and worse the longer I watch.

I honestly don't see what's so good about the deck. It's solid, don't get me wrong, but I was making similar decks before I had all the murlocs to get warlock quests.
I think arena should track what classes you use and weigh the chance of a class being offered as an inverse of how often you pick it. Also there should be a "random class" mode where the choice is totally random but you get 10% more gold/dust as rewards.
These dudes insisting on letting the turn timer run out every. Single. Turn. No matter if they're gonna do anything or not, just hoping you'l concede out of boredom or something, really makes the game a joy.
I'm not certain why people dislike Northshire cleric so much. She's basically the only 1 drop worth running in Priest decks, and the fact you can bait out an enemy's removal/coin with a turn you're otherwise dead on is huge.
I get that her power can be "played around" but the tempo you gain from having an opponent swing for the fences T2 or not drop a leper gnome T1 for fear of you just getting a free draw is nice. Plus the occasional holy nova combo is as fun as UtH Buzzard.
Every time I hear priests mentioned, it seems as if Northshire is basically considered too easy to play around to be effective. It seems like there's a kind of shortsightedness where people think about how easy it is to prevent it from getting draw, and not that it's a 1-cost that draws out removal and is basically a taunt for any spell or creature that can kill it.
In other news: Warrior Control is fun to play against as Priest if you get enough options to have him sweat early. Then having the luck ever in your favor doesn't hurt. Having his rag always go for what I wanted, mind controlling a rag and killing the cloned rag he made, having brawl kill everything but his sylvanas so I could SW:D it without losing a minion (that's not that great but I'd rather a 5/5 I can kill than a 4/5 I can't), and finally topdecking mind control to steal the super buffed Grommash he almost got lethal with.

It should probably be considered a variant of Curi's Warlock. It does have a couple of interesting twists with the Shield Bearer/Young Priestess combo and the use of the Doomguard.
I always have to have Hellfire in my Warlock decks though. I don't care how many of my own cards die, those murlocks have to burn.
Ok, so I'm ok with aggro decks and such even if I think they play around the game and are pretty dumb. I'm talking about the warrior ones that do nothing but hit for the face every time. But when your no thought required, stupid ass strategy gets worked by murloc aggro, don't get salty and let the timer run down every turn. I could understand if you were playing some sort of control deck, thinking about each play, and just getting over run by my murlocks. But if you're playing some cheesy ass bullshit, you have no right to get salty.
I honestly wanted to friend this guy and harass him after the game but I'm only a dick in my mind
I fucking hate go for the face warrior/hunter. They're not even playing the same game as everyone else.
I agree. It's so annoying.
I wonder if my play time has anything to do with some of my arena runs. I typically play late, 12am to 3am PST are my typical play times. I seem to have much better luck when I'm able to play during normal hours. Last night I had this sick warrior deck that started of 2-0. Very fast, great curve, Fiery war axe and 2 arcanite reapers. Great minion quality. Went 2-1 in a close game, but then the last two it was just sick the opponents I went against, and the RNG didn't help me at all. A deck with mostly 2's, and two games I don't get any opening plays. There's a lot of factors, but I wonder if those aren't the best times to play.
Ladder reset. Time to run murlocks to about rank 12 or so.
Nooooo this druid is playing murloc with the angry crab. Druid may be an interesting class to play murloc. His hero ability is good to take care of one hp minions, and boost the dmg of weak early game murlocs. It was the hungry crap that destroyed me. He didn't have full murloc, just enough to be anti murloc and make it so I couldn't play my deck. Was very annoying.
I was so excited just now to play my blood knight with 3 divine shields on the field making him a 12/12. Next turn my opponent silences him with an owl.
Is it broken arena deck o'clock? I just got wailed on by a warrior that had answers to every single thing I played, not to mention I drew none of my important cards.

Nobody dislikes her. The conversation here has been calls for nerfs to her, and the rebuttals have focused on her negatives, because a priest nerf at this point would be lunacy.

i've found in general that the classes people get angriest about (warrior, hunter, priest, mage) are the ones that, amusingly, are probably the least in need of nerfs

The only class I ever get angry about is druid. Class mechanic: choose which graphics play while you win.
I am so happy I picked the Imp Master over the Auctioneer. I was thinking "I don't have many spells, but at least Auctioneer has a decent body. What are Imps going to do?"
So that northshire thing I mentioned before, where Holy Nova will let her draw before dying? Actually is inconsistent, since it doesn't always draw for all heals before she dies. I just had another priest holy nova off my cleric and I got one draw when he healed 3 minions.

It was a lot of fun to play.
Wondering if I can't get 7 in my next draft. I think Arena mode is probably my favorite, though.
I won but I think its just because his deck wasn't very good, paladin deck that didn't appear to have any kings or argent protectors

Not that I have any great decks or anything. Still playing arena to earn cards.

my major fail draft was mountain giant over kidnapper or doomsayer, should have definitely picked kidnapper, at least he would see the table
OMG
The first time I ever heard that song, the first thing I thought was, "This must be Jaef's theme song."

Paladin I just fought had three Guardians of Kings. So much life gain!
If only I had drawn my second Rag...

i got to play against one in arena, opponent was 100% more fun to play against

In trumps arena 81 youtube video the paladin had 4 guardian of kings and 1 priestess of elune
Such highs, such lows.
