Is there a way to make the Examine info stick around? Like if you Examine the monster five times it always shows their HP? Or do you just have to do it every time if you want to see it?
Hit left with the Circle Pad on most of the battle menus, I think.

I mean, is there a way to make their HP show up every time you fight that enemy? Their type and weakness sticks around, but not that. It's not very important, just slightly irritating to see ????/???? staring at me.

The game, unfortunately, only shows the current health in numerical form, plus the health bar. The only information that is kept after examine is the family and weaknesses.

They should have just displayed the current health/max health instead of the useless and redundant meter.

Well than you're in luck, since I think the boss there also uses all physical attacks (not certain, though)

I need a strategy guide for this game. I love it, though. It reminds me of the PSX FF games, which are my favorite. Everything after X(-2) was disappointing.

    ...Huh. Finale spoilers
Apparently, you can skip from chapter 5 to the finale by ignoring Airy's warnings not to destroy the crystal. Wonder if I could have done that earlier? Felt like sequence breaking though, since everyone suddenly knew things they'd never discovered.

She calls them in turn after you kill them

I tried putting them to sleep, but the RNG was being a jerk so I went with Summoner/Valkyrie to spam attack all abilities so I could damage her while keeping them down as best I could

The ones she resummons do have lower HP than the ones that appear at the start of the fight

Do not have a cow, mortal.

Well, I did get pretty close to beating her despite the loss. Edea as a Valkyrie/Spell Fencer should be able to take care of them if I have her focus on Thundara + Crescent Moon.

Only issue is me being OCD about Stealing everything from bosses, so the longer the RNG hates Tiz's attempts at taking everything she owns, the more her dudes will beat me down.

Well, it felt like skipping, between the fact that I thought I heard there were more chapters than that, and again, that everyone suddenly knew things they shouldn't, like that Ringabel is Alternis (I mean, they all saw him in the pillar of light, but I don't recall them ever putting 2 and 2 together, they just suddenly knew here).

This is my train of thought, too. Spoilers for Chapter 2:
Olivia hasn't got a clue what a cryst-fairy is, doesn't know what Awakening a crystal means, nor even knows how to Awaken a crystal. Plus Airy is really pushy about Awakening them.

Also speculation/potential spoilers concerning a party member:
So Ringabel is totally a parallel version of the Dark Knight guy, right. They both clutch the same arm when Victoria attacks DK, and the journal is definitely DK's.

Is level 18 underleveled for Orthros?

Because when he does two breath attacks, everyone in my party who isn't defaulting on that turn drops dead.

The sudden increase in damage output in that fight seems really, really jarring. I mean, there's not a new dungeon or area between him and the boss I fought before. Are there any accessories you can get at this stage of the game which reduce fire or water damage?

Breaking the crystals jumps you to the end game and gives you the "Bad Ending"
Have to do it the long way to get the "Good Ending"

Welp, I turned down the difficulty from "hard" to "medium" and that made him into a pushover. I didn't expect the difference to be so pronounced. Still got not clue how you're supposed to handle the fight on hard difficulty.

I wanted to ask again, should I read the in-game diary? It's like 200 pages long. Just wondering if it's actually interesting, too spoilery, or if the spoilers will actually be amusing as you watch them come true.

The difficulty will balance out if you just stop grinding on your way to the next boss

Did you use summons? Because while I was no longer in danger of getting killed in the blink of an eye, it still took some time to get each head down.

Both heads have an aura. If you hit them with a weakness the aura dissolves and their attacks weaken a bunch for a few turns.
