Game choice time

So this is not a DS vs PsP thread AT ALL. The only aspect of the thread is that I'm about to take a trip and want to buy a game. I haven't bought a hand held game since DS Mario Bros. Yeah. Here's what I've been thinking about:

GTA Vice City Stories
Puzzle Quest (is it better on DS or PSP?)
other suggestions...

Thanks.

I feel like Liberty City stories will be way easier to find in a year, should you decide against it.

For that reason alone, I'd say go with Puzzle Quest.

Seriously, if you just want a completely objective opinion do a gameranking serach. If you want subjectivity, tell us about your tastes.

I've played Puzzle Quest on both PSP and DS.

I prefer the PSP version simply because of the bigger screen and slightly better graphics and sound.

Don't buy GTA. It's the same old crap.

Phoenix Wright: Justice For All. Or the first game if you never played it.

If you're 13-17 you should play the psp version,
ff you're 5-12 you should get the ds version.

    ...what?

Is my sarcasm meter broken? Anyway, someone mentioned talking about tastes. I'm not that easy to pinpoint, but I would generally say I like creative games so I thought of puzzle quest and I feel stupid never having played Pheonix Wright so I thought of that too. I already bought EBA and I'm waiting to play it so that's in the bag. For the PSP though I just feel like I've totally under-utilized it since I haven't bought a PSP game since Katmari. Since then what has the "must have" psp game been?

The PSP version of Puzzle Quest has been getting consistently better reviews than the DS version. And yeah, the larger screen makes nice nice.

    MGS: Portable Ops

    Ratchet and Clank

    Pirates!

    Lumines 2

Uh, there are plenty more, those are just off the top of my head.

I haven't tried the PSP version, but Puzzle Quest DS works fine, and the stylus controls (I click instead of dragging, so I haven't encountered any 'misses' yet) are very appreciated. I doubt you'd go wrong either way with this game. It transcends any sort of silly system rivalry.
